Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Why Every Job Vacancies Are In Lagos. by sirusX(m):
I always had this same thought, but I realize that most of the HR's over here are in Lagos offices, with others in places like Abuja

So, what happens to other states?? Don't they have HR's in their organizations, companies, or factories

It's all depend on the medium used in advertising

Your stats is based on just the Internet (online), but what about other means like newspapers, fliers and bill boards in a state

I would rather assume that recruitment in other states might be based on referrals, and so, most might be unadvertised

I think most people flood Lagos, because it has a lot to offer in terms of investment and development...and with the population, businesses that require a market rely of these figures as their pool of customers

Although, other cities can emulate Lagos and develop themselves, it all depends on how much one is willing to risk

It is just weird and unusual for you to see suya being prepared in the morning or afternoon. You are already used to it in the evenings. Don’t be surprised if some Nigerians think that you are doing something fishy by preparing suya during the day. They will not even go near such a suya.
You clearly have not been to IBADAN

I can imagine how bad i will feel to see my sibling's name used like this.

Ladies please lets respect ourselves. Someday, a man will marry you (except you never want to get married or you are a lesby).

If you feel a man is below you, then do not go on a date with him. If he buys you something less than your class, why not request directly by asking him for more? Why do this on social media? And then feel great about it?

First Bank is using an insult to someone to sell its product and this is so wrong!
soo freaking wrong...and to her, for being praised about it...she did a right thing

What this girl did on twitter is actually an embarrassment and insulting to this guy.

Lets tell ourselves the truth. We were not there when the guy took her out. So why give us a list on social media of what you had?

If you were so empowered, why go on a date with a guy who can just afford #5000? Why not be empowered by yourself without looking for a date from a man? This does not mean guys have the right to insult women though.

And banks are now commercializing this?

#I hate this.
Coming from a lady, I appreciate the thought to your words
Not everyone sees the deeper meaning to what played out, or even the girl's acceptance for something she could afford in the first place
Yet the banks jump at it cz of the media and publicity, knowing it was trending. SMH

So what happens to all the men that have been spending since the dawn of time without hitting?

Instead of calling her an empowered woman, we should start encouraging our women to take charge of dating/outings and split the bill as well.

So if the guy did not call her out, that's how his money would have entered one chance.

Rising through challenges...

We need to change our mindset about how we treat our local languages, else it would become history to some families

Even some of those that travel abroad take time to teach their kids a thing or two about home of origin, language, culture and lifestyle

Romance › Re: My Girlfriend Differs In Religion. What Should I Do ... by sirusX(m): 8:00pm On Mar 29, 2017
I dunno much about the muslim's stance on marrying out their daughters to christians

You need to pray for strength cz this is not the easiest of situations

Most times you need to get acceptance from her, as well as your parents and hers

As you're decided upon practising your religion, so is she...and even in the compromise, she has stamped her foot down and wouldn't accept marrying and being in different religions

She might end up forcing your hand into conversion as you say you're not too religious...and you focused more on not disappointing your parents

They say it's best to always find out these things as soon as you pick an interest in someone and start dating, else why bother nurturing feelings and emotions if there is no future in the relationship
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Say This Prayer Before Going For A Job Interview by sirusX(m): 6:15pm On Mar 29, 2017
Gerrard59:
At the end of the day, I've come to discover that hard work, preparation, determination and perseverance are all what one needs for any examination of sort.

Two fervent prayer warriors of different denominations get invited to write a test or interview. Who qualifies? The person who prepared more using all possible sources of information or the person who doesn't put in much as the former? If it's the latter, why should grace favour that person?

Note: What you put into a task is what you get out.
Preparation counts, but in the end, one should abandon it to the will of God...recognizing that whatever is yours would be yours.

I know there's the talk about pushing buttons and making calls to people who can help

God knows our needs and the innermost thoughts of our hearts, and He would shine His grace upon us and surprise us in ways we never expected.

Although it's not easy when one might seem let down after a prayer, but we learn to be stronger

In as much as "man know man" seems to be a sure way in Nigeria, there are those that get jobs without knowing anyone, and I'm a testimony to that, even in this economic recession

No one can know the heart of man, except he and God

Truth be told, out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks

When I heard "how her cloth makes her cute"...that means he's been admiring her body, and that's where the lustful thoughts start from

It's better to walk away than delve into a world where the end is only destruction
