sunsewa: As christians u don't need to pay evil with evil,u can confirm the extent of destruction of life and properties in the north and how the numbers of northern folks slaving in the nooks and crannies of southern nigeria in search of economy has outblown unlike before it was nigeriens doing it,is punishment apportioned to them by nature and God. How this got to get 21 likes eludes me but your closing remark is wrong! You don't mock and you don't analyze God's work in that respect. You have no idea what God's punishment is rather |

An0nimus: Lol this is an interview not an abstract mathematics class. What if the recruiter was looking for how you proffer simple solutions to problems? or is this not possible?
The moment you start proving 1+1 from Adam, the guy man will write you off as someone who likes to complicate simple issues. You never can tell what these guys want.
if I ask you "What is your name?" how will you reply me. I'll simply tell u my name. Nice approach bro But am guilty of always trying to complicate issues. |

If any1 have been ff, you'll see why they can't select every1 that came for the same interview. Hence, why i asked the question cos different opinions/approaches and different replies.
Rmb guyz, every opinion matters cos what might be ridiculous to you might be what another recruiter wants. Hence, the guy you called stupid, for you being selected before him in 1 firm, might get a call back before you in another.
Ans so far, 1; 2; 3; 4; 10
Pls i didnt just ask for the ans but how you'd ans/approach it. Rmb it's the only question on the interview.

Pheals: Two things are involved
1.just to show your attitude or character towards the questions... was it funny or U take it seriously .that is gonna show your temperament there
2.the question goes thus. ..what's 1+1 ? U Should not say 2 The interviewer was trying to know if U can move the company forward or it's on your interest you came for ,as in if U were given two things What to produce with (1) and what to produce [capital. In economics] (1) will U produce the actual things or U do better... so in that case U do times two ×2 of what they expect of U... which is =1+1=2 ,2×2=4
U do more than what the company expect of U....U go further
Thanks ha! 4 ke? How will you justify ur assumptions? |

An0nimus: What is 1+1?
2.
This is not rocket science if you ask me. I know recruiters might have funny questions with funnier answers only mind readers can get correctly but it still doesn't change the simple mathematical fact that 1+1=2 Well, mathematics is science and in advance science, 1+1 is not exactly equal 2, but 1+1~2 |

AdeniyiA: Until the Quaran is translated into indigenous language for all to be able to read, few people would continue to deceive the gullible ones with one useless Arabic. They take the Arabic as something powerful and unadulterated. wasn't the Bible originally written in Greek/Jew and yet doesnt loose its purpose. At least if it can be written in their indigenous languages, they can read and see for themselves how peaceful or otherwise their religion is... It is written in Hausa already and there's a project to translate it to all languages but people with strong Arabic knowledge are hard to come by |

ethene: Point.....invalid, null and void. 1+1 in any other base other than base 10 must be indicated. But lemme assure you if you've applied for mckinsey before you'll know you have to ask for the base, else you'll not be given that information The firm structure it's interview in such a way that you have to ask the right question before you can be given further information ...and if you answer straightaway, you'll be given what you needed then you'd have failed the test |

Reyginus: You don't understand. Association is key. Apply the same thing to your Synergy. Now you're talking. Just want to hear others way of attack Mind you on this post, I saw a guy write about a 2 long pages (about 2 min speech) trying to tell how he'll ans this and I was amazed as to how such a simple thing could cause a ruse. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: The Crazy Interview Question "What Is 1+1?" by sisqonite(op): 9:42pm On Nov 28, 2015 |
Reyginus: I don't see anything too intelligent in the question as some are trying to make it appear. You don't know one's debt of anything by asking the wrong questions. Answering one is not any way intelligent.
If the interviewer expected two as answer or a response emphasizing the base or association then it's okay. Maybe to ascertain how you handle unexpected questions. If what he or she expects is not that then it's useless and irrational. There's nothing intelligent at this point. Well, you never know what an interviewer wants from you. They all psycho analysing you. So you have to tailor your response but you can end up being wrong by making wrong assumptions and thinking you're giving them what they want while actually going farther from halfway. Imagine an interviewer that's going through a divorce process and you gave the marriage assumption? |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: The Crazy Interview Question "What Is 1+1?" by sisqonite(op): 9:31pm On Nov 28, 2015 |
Reyginus: I don't really think there's anything to brainstorm. We should begin to point out stupid questions as we see them and not treat them like some esoteric knowledge only shown to a few who are initiated.
It's simply the association. In Christian marriage, one plus one equates one, the same in any team where a common goal is pursued. In maths, the base matters. 4YM you've killed it! Well, if you're applying for a consulting firm, then you find out 1+1 is not 2 or even 1 cos you have to walk them through your thinking process. Also, 1+1>2 according to synergy Like i said earlier, it's not as easy as it seems. Like my firm says, there're no silly questions :p |

Okay, this is my first time but I wanna share a confusing experience
I was preparing for the labour market about a year ago, after graduation, and having no clue even what my CV should look like and all
To cut the chase, I went online for possible interview questions and I stumbled on this 'guy's experience on an interview question that made me realise people think differently
The person in question said he went for an interview and was asked only 1 question, off course after the normal introduce yourself speech. The question was:
What is 1+1?
He said, as to this simplicity, he was confused, as you know how all these logical questions you're not supposed to assume is as easy as it looks but he was famished at this level.
To cut it short ,I was following the tread and found out saying '2' might have gotten this guy the job or maybe not. In a nutshell, he said nothing as he asked for the interviewer to explain and he did nothing but to repeat the question that
'What is 1+1? He couldn't answer this and didn't get a call back.
Now am asking you guys how y'all will approach this question and what will be your response? Cc Admin

Whatever be the case, everyone must thread with caution, those who think they can handle kanu anyhow without a backlash should think twice.
The reason lots of persons are identifying with Kanu is because they don't feel they have been treated fairly. This is the same reason some northerners identified with Boko Haram. Your last statement is not a very good thing to say out loud. That's treason you know? A justification/ground for terrorism |

vodkat: here you guys go calling palestine in everything, you will not talk or do anything about the killing of africans in nigeria by islamists -what did this nigerians do. palenstians are boko haramists looking for land to culvated their virus called islam. All motivated by greed and land grabbing ideology neo arab colonialism cultural expansion program just like they want to do in africa and in the world. Even though the arab man will always choose a white man over a black man in everything. the black man will shout palestine bla bla bla. We lost our Egyptian pyramid heritage to this blood sucking demons.
My brother shine ur eyes, this is the truth told to me by arabs themselves
This islamists are always the first to look for trouble and when u hit them back they start crying. Only Russia LONE CAN destroy the middle east but because of the humanitarian disater it refuses to do so.
Just take what is happening at home for eg Nigeria army is fighting back againhst boko haram who in their neo arab colonialism cultural expansion program is claming that a part of nigeria belongs to dem.
IF not for what happened in Nigeria with boko haram many ppl will still be gullible
Palestine problem is an islamic problem motivated by greed
Look at nigeria vs cameroon over bakassi if islam was in that equation the blood bath would be like an ocean
But what annoys me is that u are looking to the land of your mental masters more than wher God placed u So Arabs colonized!!!!? No need to take this further |
