I had a dream
I was touching base with my friend in an open space then all over
sudden a full moon appeared in the east with a bright ring around it!!
After a minute, the moon started moving in an anticlockwise direction
together with the bright circular ring around it at a very high speed,
just wen it was about to complete the first rotation a Kenya airways
plane overtook it and in the process of overtaking knocked the moon,
now instead of the moon dropping, the stars and meteors dropped
from the sky emitting a very bright lighting, knockedour head till we
lost consciousness and just couldn't see how they disappeared!! Huh?
I told my friend this is the end of time
I suggested we do a headstand to allow blood flow to our brains coz
the force at which these stars and meteors hit our head was
overwhelming, how to connect that I don't know!!!!!

Now I don't believe in dreams but just out of curiosity I googled the
meaning of the moon, stars and meteors in a dream and got the
following three contrasting meanings.
1. Seeing the stars falling down on earth then
disappearing, or the lights of meteors entering the earth atmosphere
in a dream, represents a great destruction and death.
2. Seeing a Circle around the Sun or Moon – Success in business or
employment.
3. Full Moon – Indication of getting married soon, medals and titles
coming your way.

I must really commend your wildlife series mainly due to the fact that you worked with acrylics. I've used acrylics for some years now and i must confess that i havent been able to conquer it totally due to its obscenely fast drying time. Once again.. U rock.

Now for the knocks...
I appreciate the fact that you're a "super-realist" but i think that the overemphasis on detail on every part of each work is robbing the paintings of its vitality. Hence, id suggest that your composition have an area of focus and allow the other parts be blended softly into the background so as to create the illusion of the focal part, emerging from the background.
Hope you catch my drift?

for portraiture I use oils on canvas ( turpentine for thinning,linseed oil as thickener and the Winsor and Newton paints)

for wildlife I just use acrylics on canvas.
