I think your opinion is only reactive. The underlining causes of insecurity anywhere in Nigeria are moral and economic poverty as well as gross injustice. Until these issues are tackled at all levels of governance, no amount of protection for elected and appointed officers will arrest this ugly trend! Pierohandsome: |

A sane mind is one who knows when to rebuke his friend for a wrong action and when to commend an enemy for a right action. This quality is what Tunde Bakare has demonstrated. That's how nations attain greatness irrespective of perceived individual differences! |
One of the most emotionally historical presentations I have read about African leaders! So much lessons for present and future African leaders! The meddling of Western powers in African politics has created a vicious cycle of human indignities that we may have to live with for generations! Sad... |
Because he's one like us, some accuse him of showing off. But if he were white skinned, same people would applaud him. The intent of Dion Osagie as documented is clear and commendable! |
No constants in politics even in advanced democracies like the US where certain states vote in different parties for the legislative and executive arms of government. To say Rivers is PDP is sheer presumption. It can swing either way. Happywoman: |
Jimi23:No matter her sexual state before her abduction, if her age of 14 or 17 is correct, she ought to be seen as a minor and absorbed of any blame in her present ordeal. The first law of child sexual abuse or molestation is that the abused must be absorbed of any blame. All blame should go to the abuser and his direct or remote collaborators in this case. This is a test for the law enforcement agencies. I hope they all rise up to the challenge to enhance national cohesion. |
If Britain could recruit a Canadian financial expert to oversee its Bank of England at such a critical time of its economy, then Nigeria should leave political and tribal expediencies and look for the very Best Hand within and outside the country to oversee Central Bank of Nigeria in light of the preposterous monetary policies currently run by the CBN helmsman. The present exchange rate policy portends doom for Nigeria if its allowed to run its full course. Businesses and households are feeling the heat and its getting to the precipice! |
Laudable info. God bless, OP! |
Stealing is absolutely wrong. But subjecting those women to such a dehumanizing spectacle is totally barbaric and morally reprehensible. Only those who have no sin can justify their action. How sanity has taken flight from our society! Lawlessness everywhere! Shame on all the perpetrators of this crime against womanhood. |
Thumbs up for her tough but wise decision. If a stable marriage is the foundation of a stable society, then any career decisions made to such an end should be highly commended. Any sacrifices made for the sake of one's family life always have long term dividends even if in the short run they look foolish. God bless and keep her home continually. |
A good student of history knows that all leaders are a product of circumstances and this can not be a yardstick for success or failure of a leader. I believe GMB will make the most of the fortuitousness of his election. Everyone has got a vital role to play somewhat to make him succeed. God bless the emerging new Nigeria. |
If the OP had spent even less time talking about the Lord Jesus Christ than he did of Chris, at least a soul would have been convicted or converted. How heaven weeps at men pleasers and earthly patronage! Rubbish and dungs. |
Your hubby already knows about your past life whether 4 or 60 men it makes no difference. Don't dig up your sordid past by trying telling him the exact number of men as this could have sever implications for your happy family. God bless. |
First fruit offering in the Old Testament was a foreshadow of Jesus who was to become and is every Christian's first fruit according to Paul's teachings in the New Testament. All forms of giving in the New Testament are based on freewill and proportionality (not legalism, coercion or trickery) as seen in 2 Corinthians chapters 8 and 9. Today, many church leaders spout lies to justify their selfish interests. There is a clarion call for every true believer in Christ to search the Scriptures like the Berean Christians in Acts 17:11 and not rely solely on the teachings of their spiritual leaders, no matter how highly esteemed they may be. |
IBB's endorsement most inconsequential as he's bereft of credilbility. Hogwash news. |
If one had the kind of 3 kids (all boys) that I have, reasonably occasional flogging or spanking spiced with dialogue or scolding would arguably be inevitable under the present Nigerian socio-economic climate. Parenting is such a taxing calling that has no one-size-fits-all approach. Regardless, circumstances and timing are critical considerations for effective parental discipline. |
This looming crisis in Christ Embassy will be for the rise and fall of many in the church. When we ask for revival, we're asking for the unsettling of the status quo. Watch out folks! |
Good night, Prof Dora Akunyili. You touched countless lives in many ways. Indeed, your noble works follow you to your rest. Sleep on until that glorious dawn when all of God's children shall part no more. May your legacies inspire many generations to come. Adieu, great patriot! |
Personally, I feel this private issue was not meant for that kind of audience. Besides, if the Holy Ghost fire were that readily invoked and active, then I wonder who would be alive in our generation. I think the supernatural can be deployed to more productive ventures. It baffles me each time I reflect on the happenings in churches today in comparison to the teachings in the New Testament. What a whole world of deviation, distortion and deception in our worship centres! |
While not condoning campus sex trade, I think the increasing harsh economic realities in the average Nigerian home fuel this unfortunate moral issue. It can largely be scaled down if the living standard of Nigerian families is significantly scaled up. Morality and poverty are strange bed fellows in our day. Let's deal with the root and the branches will be no real challenge. |
Great judgement. Hoping the relevant authorities will enforce it immediately. It's never too late to right a wrong if we must deepen our democracy. |
