Australian authorities have found eight dead children at a house in Cairns in northern Queensland.
Police said a 34-year-old woman who was the mother of at least seven of the children had been taken to hospital with stab wounds but was stable. The dead kids have been reported to be aged between 18 months and 15 years, and were all stabbed.
The Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott made a statement about the ugly development calling it an "unspeakable crime", further stating that all parents would feel "gut-wrenching sadness at what has happened".
The house in the Manoora suburb has been cordoned off by police and detectives are currently searching the yard trying to uncover anything that will be useful in the investigation.

Police have described the situation as a "tragic event" but maintained that everything is in place and that is no cause for public concern.
As of the time of posting this, no arrests have been made, but sources say that the injured woman has been assisting the police with investigations.

The Pope is probably still the most influential person in the world. Pope Francis played a key role in finalizing a deal to open relations between the United States and Cuba for the first time in 53 years, President Obama said Wednesday.

His Holiness Pope Francis issued a personal appeal to me and to Cuba's president, Raúl Castro, urging us to resolve Alan's case and to address Cuba's interests in the release of three Cuban agents, who've been jailed in the United States for over 15 years," Obama said.
The pope wrote a personal letter to Obama this fall — something he'd never done before — and a separate letter to Castro.The letter invited the leaders to "resolve humanitarian questions of common interest, including the situation of certain prisoners," according to a Vatican statement congratulating the two countries Wednesday.
Obama and Pope Francis discussed Cuba when the two met at the Vatican in March, senior administration officials said.
“Cuba was a topic of discussion that got as much attention as anything else that the two of them discussed,” one senior official said.

I don't know where to start. You don't get to know who's sane till you check the person's private niche. Erika Murray, 31, has been charged for the murder of three of her babies whose skeletons were found in her filth filled house in Massachusetts.

The three children were foumd dead inside the house when it was searched back in September after Police recieved a report about child abuse and neglect. The remains of the babies were found hanging in bedroom closets.

Murray's four other children were removed from the house and placed in state custody. Two of the kids were found covered in their own faeces. Pictures from inside the house when the arrest happened and the demolition of the house below.

The world famous comedy icon now termed rapist by some people has spoken out for the first time against allegations of sexual assault from over a dozen women.
In an interview with New York Post he praised his wife for her support and asked the media to remain neutral in their reports.
"I only expect the black media to uphold the standards of excellence in journalism and when you do that you have to go in with a neutral mind,"Cosby said.
He further declined to talk about the allegations saying that he'd been advised not to do so.

Some will say silence is acceptance but in this case i think Mr. Cosby did the right thing by keeping mute on the situation because the media can twist wrong meanings out of any sentence he makes. *just my humble opinion*

The former Arsenal and France striker has announced his retirement from football.
Henry, popularly know as "Igwe" has played for Monaco, Juventus, Arsenal, Barcelona and lastly New York Red Bulls where he was till last month. He won a lot of trophy in his 20-year career. He won the 1998 FIFA World cup with France. Henry won two EPL titles and three FA Cups with Arsenal, scoring 175 Premiere League goals between 1999 and 2007. The two boys aged 12 and 13, have appeared in court facing charges for attempted bank robbery using toy guns.

One had a schoolbag on his back and a toy M-16 riffle on his hand.
Though they were toy guns but they looked real. When the lads entered the bank, they shouted, "this is a hold-up". The people in the bank were scared but then the boys ran out without taking a dime, police spokesman said.

I don't even know whether to laugh or be angry at these kids. I guess they've watched too much American movies. *grin* Well, i cant say this kind of stunt didn't cross my mind when i was their age.

The woman in the video later identified as Jeannene Meyer randomly stabbed two men who walked past her as she walked down Decatur street in New Orleans. The woman walked away un apprehended.
The men stabbed, 28-year-old and a 62-year-old sustained minor lacerations.

This is where we are today in our society...
When a random stranger can just go around stabbing people, with nobody seemingly taking notice. I cant understand how someone can be walking around with a knife, stab two people and nobody takes notice.
Police has posted a reward of $2,500 for any one that can give information that will lead to the arrest and indictment of the suspect.

While Boko haram is tearing Nigeria apart, drug cartels are running rampage in Mexico. A woman who asked to be called Susane told Skynews how her husband, a police officer knowingly gave his life at the hands of a drug cartel in an exchange for the life of his family.

The husband was summoned to a meeting by the drug cartel in Iguala. "My husban knew that if he didnt attend the meeting immediately they would directly attack his family, because they had fully identified us", Susane said.
"We knew it was either him or the family, so he somehow warned us that he might not be coming back alive, that perhaps this was the last time we would see each other".

This is really a sad story. What's the hope of an average citizen in Mexico when the life and family of a police officer cannot be protected.
