I still wonder why the Amazon weapons are not high tech or magical weapons but rather seem like primitive bows and arrows with all the years they have existed, take atlantis for example, they have advance tech than humans. The island fight in WW1 for example

You are still contradicting yourself. I said it's only Snyder that can direct a violent fight scene like that, and you say no, it's the choreographer, only for you to say director's vision. Or director telling choreographer what he wants. Bros, how is this different from what I said? Or you not contradicting yourself?
bros whatever rocks ur boat, if u dont get what I said then no wahala. Only Snyder can direct a violence scene like that, he is the best director in the world. Happy??

I share the same thoughts

They should just wear green costumes.

A great costume designer can make it look gorgeous

I hated the CGI costume in Ryan Reynolds green lantern film
exactly, then touch it up with cgi

You just contradicted yourself bro.
and how did I? Matt reeves told his fight choreographer he wanted his batman to fight like MMA fighter, did he state exactly what the fight scenes should look like? Ppl just seem to give directors a whole lot of credit without realizing the back end guys do alot of the heavy lifting.

Mayb u shud watch the Interviews Matt reeves gave then u will understand everyone has its own place.

The direct just describes his visions, the actors, custom designer, stunt and fight choreographer all just interpret his vision to the best of their knowledge and ability. It's just like the penguin's 'I gat u shout', alot will have thought that was all the director's, but reevs said it was all the actor and even him was shocked and burst into laughter.

Same with Pattinson body language and mannerisms, it's all the actor, but credits goes to the director for having a perfect cast.

But then what do I know...

Bruce has three significant encounters with the young boy. Investigating the crime scene, Bruce discovers that it was the young son who found his father’s dead body. Bruce stares at the sad and lonely boy, a moment of crushing vulnerability. Later, at Mitchell’s funeral, Bruce grabs the young boy and pushes him out of the way of a speeding car, saving his life. Finally, at the end of the movie, Bruce takes the boy’s hand at Gotham Square Gardens and literally guides him out of the darkness.

I think the boy transparently serves as a metaphor for Bruce and is an effective piece of emotional shorthand. Instead of replaying the Thomas and Martha Wayne death scene the boy was used masterfully to portray that.

He isn't being teased as Robin
even reeves confirms that he isn't robin

If WB were to be the Nigerian government, Nigeria just like WB will be among the top 3 most powerful, wealthiest and advanced nation on earth just like WB is among the top 3 largest, powerful and wealthiest studio on earth, so yes the excuse would be justifiable just like every first world citizen would give excuses to justify their first world nation's decision.
So you see, your WB and Nigerian government analogy does not even correlate.

As I said earlier, shits pops up which do cause change in "perfect" plans. This is something everyone can attest or relate to.

Claiming two weeks is too short for unforseen circumstances to change plans, is just you not being realistic. Sweetheart, even a day is more than enough to change plans. You have to consider the kind of plans and the unforseen circumstance involve. Dear, I'm speaking from experience. So if you haven't experienced it, it's just a case of you not having experienced it rather than it not being so. But one thing is certain, lots of people have experienced it.

Claiming WB/DC do not have any long term plans is very funny. I can remember in 2019 you made the same claim that the DCEU is dead. This is 2022, is the DCEU dead? Nah. Yeah, I remember and know lots of shits that goes on in this thread even though I may not be that active.

From WB moves regarding the DCEU which ranges from their film slate to their rebooting plan to their going with the Snyder plan but at a massive scale and little changes to their commitment to their producing DC contents for HBO MAX, one could see that the studio has a plan that goes beyond the now into the future. So when you claim that WB has no long term plan, it makes me laugh because it's fvcking funny.

And besides, most of the films will still be related this year and one of the changed film is getting a replacement. So what's the fuss about?

He is. Mitchell's son and wife were at Belle's inauguration in support of "The Gotham Unity Program" or whatever they called it. He was also the same boy that Batman rescued from the collapsed stage along with other trapped people including his mother and Belle. Go back to that scene again, you'll get it.
lol baba go and rewatch, batman was carrying a girl and not a boy, infact the long hair is an indication even the cloths are different. Have seen the movie both at the cinema and also on my laptop 3times now. So please rewatch

The last time I checked WB aren't omniscient, that, is they don't know the future neither can they predict it. When the super bowl trailer was released, the release plans were in motion but probably, some unforeseen circumstances popped up which resulted in the change of plans, things like this happen.

I mean, we've all been in that position, the position were we have a plan and we thought the plan was perfect, efforts were been made towards making the plans a reality, the plan has even been make known to others but all of a sudden some fvcks just popped out of nowhere and things or plans just had to change. We've all been in that situation. Claiming you've not been in such situation is like one claiming he hasn't been intimidated by something or someone before or he hasn't been rejected or he hasn't been disappointed, that will be one just being a liar.

So before you start criticising WB, ask yourself, have been in such a situation before? If yes, which definitely will be yes, then why criticise WB. Criticising WB will just be one being irrational and unnecessarily emotional.

WB aren't dummies, they're not novice in the industry. They're veterans, they're professionals, they understand how the Industry works. For them to release the Superbowl trailer, it means they were certain of the release dates, and if they later changed the release dates, it means some unforeseen circumstances popped up. Which then begs the question, what are these unforseen circumstances? Well, we will never know except WB and we will only know if they choose to tell us.

One of the reasons as released by WB is that there are lots of things to be done as regards productions which then makes the release dates not feasible.
One may counter, didn't they know about this before they release the Superbowl trailer? For them to release the Superbowl trailer means they were certain of the feasibility of the release date but along the line some shits popped up which caused the change in release dates. One needs to understand that they're lots of behind the scene activities or drama going on here that we don't really know and will never know.

Questions everyone should ask themselves is, will WB deliberately release a Superbowl trailer about the release dates of movies who eventually won't be released in those dates considering the controversies they've been in and are trying to escape from likewise considering the fact that WB are striving in fixing things in the DCEU which could be seen in their moves lately?

Everyone should ask themselves the above questions first before making any claim or assumptions. It'll help a lot.

Aside from that, apart from Aquaman and Flash, the rest of the movies announced this year will and have been released i.e The Batman, DC League of Super Pets, Black Adam and possibly, Batgirl will be released this year and in place of Aquaman, Shazam: Fury Of The Gods will be released. So if you look at it, the changes aren't that much to be causing unnecessarily outrage. It's not as if they moved all the DC films till next year.

I will assume u are a Nigerian, so leme ask if WB was Nigerian gov will u have made this excuse for them? two weeks is too short for an unforseen change that then affect their plan that much.

I don't have an issue if they had pushed back all the movies, and not reshuffling, or am I the only one who thought Aquaman and Shazam is going to be a follow up to the new universe the flash movie was suppose to establish? It Is just like saying marvel decides to release doctor strange multiverse of madness before NWH,

So bro I don't have an issue with the move, but rather with the reshuffling, cus what it seems to me is that they still don't have their acts togther regarding the DCEU

You're funny. Releasing the trailer changes nothing.
2 movies out of the 4 will release this year.
Also putting those trailers out there on Super Bowl is pretty strategic as it gives more popularity to the movies especially for upcoming Black Adam. Trailers are basically to build hype. And it did exactly what it's meant to. If not why release a teaser for Flash/Aquaman when movie comes out in 8&9 months time. Traditionally teasers or trailers don't come out before 4 or 5 months to release.
So quit all these whinings.

What are you trying to say? Restore the Snyderverse is incoming? You tell me. Maybe you know what I don't.
so releasing a trailer saying this movie will come out on a specific day and two weeks after they move all the movies is fine with u? Really? It doesn't give u a feel of lack of coordination by WB? It doesn't make u feel mayb WB do not actually have a long time plan afterall.

Anyways if u say it's fine, who am I to argue

If u know me, then u know am the least person that wants to see the yeye Snyderverse. His style of movie killed DCEU IMO

this is why ppl don't have confidence in DC, it's just some weeks ago they did the Superbowl trailer and now this, is it that they don't have long time fixed plan? This just made me lose confidence in the flash.

The Batman 9/10

This is the best Batman movie that is about Batman if know what I mean.

Robert Pattinson was very good in the role. Zoe Kravitz is a natural with the way she played Catwoman.
The Riddler is a 10/10 villain, Paul Dano is a scene stealer in this movie.
The biggest surprise was Colin Ferrell as Penguin. Especially when you consider the fact that Jonah Hill was Matt Reeves first choice to play Penguin. But after what Colin Ferrell did, everyone could say that he's perfect for this role.
I'm well and truly hyped for his spinoff show. It's going to drop next year, I hope.
Jeffery Wright as Jim Gordon is a match made in heaven.

The entire cast did well including John Turtoro and Andy Serkis.

The cinematography in this movie is next level. It is as mesmerizing as it is grandiose. Every shot in this movie is an excellent work of art.

The runtime was absolutely worth it. The movie is packed with story and the pacing was good. At first I thought it was too long but after seeing it, I don't think there's a scene that shouldn't be in this film.
Matt Reeves used this runtime well to flesh out his major characters. The Batman has a character arc and so does Catwoman. She's not just a sidekick here. I love the thing with Falcone cuz it gave her character more depth.

The action scenes were very good. That car chase scene was the best peice of action in a Batman movie. The trailers don't do it justice at all.
I love the way Batman fights. However, my only problem with the action is the plot armor used on Batman. Gunmen always shoot his chest and they never target the face.

In conclusion, the best thing about this movie is that it's Batman centric. It's officially the best Batman movie about Batman. TDK is a masterpiece but that movie was not about Batman.
His growth as a character was beautiful.
In the end he realizes that his methods was having a negative impact on the city cuz it inspired Riddler.
Like Minemrys pointed out "he starts off the movie as vengeance and end up as Batman".
The part where he was helping people in the end was beautiful. He transformed from a symbol of vengeance to a symbol of hope.

I also like that Gotham is a character in this movie. Gotham is truly Gotham and not Chicago like the Nolan movies.

Final rating 9/10

I can't wait to see it again when it drops on HBO Max next month.
movie was beautiful, but about not being short in the face, I think it's just the fear he imposes on ppl, u just never remember to shoot the face with the fear u just want to get a shot at him, and there were some scenes he covered his face with is hands, I went crazy when I saw him open an inlet to inject himself damn the movie was so realistic. The only time someone thought Abt shooting his face was at his weakened state giving that guy more confidence. Action not as good as Affleck warehouse fight, guess the movie isn't action driven

If Flash turns out good and setting things straight and gaining general audience favor, then the Snyderverse is as good as dead.

Na serious fasting and prayer dem need like dis.

One thing people tend to forget these days is that WB is now playing the long game. It's disappointing that they didn't have this resolve during the days of critics shitting on early DCEU movies.
I think the script is good enough, cus obviously there are movies beyond the flash, which ties togther and WB seem to have grown in confidence. The flash teaser looked good, and looks big. The future of DCEU rest on the acceptance of the flash movie, I hope it does well
TV/MoviesRe: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by Skseries: 7:29am On Mar 10, 2022

ZSJL was released solely because HBOMax needed content and lacked respectable subscriber numbers. If it did superbly as Snyder fans claim then a spin-off or continuation of Snyder's vision woulda lived on even tho restricted to HBOMax.

The only reason I'm seeing WB holding back and not going forward with the plan anymore is probably cos it HBOMax streaming numbers didn't meet expectations, especially when comparing it to its hype and massive engagements. And HBOMax is flourishing ever since they followed on with their plans (day & date) despite criticism.

I'm not being pessimistic or trying to pull down the Snyder fanbase (the level headed ones) of course, but at times we need to be realistic.

I really don't see any continuation of the Snyderverse or change in status quo anytime soon even with the much anticipated arrival of NEW management from Discovery. This present mangt are new AT&T and little was done for the verse. I don't see that changing with the incoming merger as well. IF the current PLAN of direction by DC Films continues to gain success, that restoration dream is as good as a fantasy.
One thing I sha hope and pray at the end sha, is the return of Cavill as Supes and an MOS sequel. I wouldn't even mind much Snyder returning for that if not for his cult-like followers.

Time will tell sha....
I hope they give it to a different director just so we can see a new take, na flash movie go shut the Snyder shout for good. Is it true the release date for black Adam has been moved??

Have always said Snyder was the problem with DC, the Batman was 3hrs and I just kept wanting more, it was very grounded but still stayed true to comics. Batman hates guns, even the scenes where batman silently vanishes were done so well. Jokes were matured. Though the movie was so visually dark.

Bro, I don't even understand how you guys do your own analysis, and from the looks of things it seems you don't even understand how the industry works as regards financial analysis of Box office.

Batman has a budget of $200M, let's assume the marketing budget is $300M, that will bring the total to $500M, which means the Break Even Point (BEP) is $500M. The BEP is the amount a movie has to gross before it can be considered a profit or before it can be said to be out of the danger zone, at that point the movie is neutral, it's neither profitable except it goes beyond it or a loss except it gross beneath it. The BEP is always the budget amount which in this case is the sum of the marketing and production budget.

So if the BEP of The Batman is $500M (by assumption of a $300M marketing budget which will be the highest), a $800M BO gross will mean $300M gross profit, how's that a FAILURE?

But since we don't know the Marketing budget, the standard model to calculate the BEP is to go with the 3X multiplier of the production budget which will be $600M, a $800M BO gross will mean $200M gross profit. So how is that a FAILURE?

Note, I'm not talking about net profit, rather gross profit because for net profit, a lot of behind the scenes expenditures are going on which we will never know about, so we have to wait for the studio to tell us.

So which makes me ponder on how The Batman with an $800M gross is actually going to be a failure?

Now look at this, The Batman with such gross won't be a disappointment, not one bit, because

1.) The movie is a standalone film on it's own, it's not part of the DCEU where you will say it's a big movie of the franchise. It's just a movie on it's own so the whole "must gross a billion shit" doesn't affect it neither does it have it on it's shoulders.

2.) $800M gross in standard Hollywood rating is a high grosser, as a matter of fact, in Hollywood, from $700M upward is regarded as a high grosser in standard Hollywood rating. So any movie that grosses that level is seen as a high grosser, so yes The Batman with a $800M BO gross is a high grosser, even with a $700M gross, it's still a high grosser

3.) The movie is the first movie in a trilogy, it's not even the climax but just the launcher of the trilogy. So why will it or should it shoulder such responsibility of being a billion dollar grosser to be termed a success. Nobody in his right senses will even heap such responsibility on the movie except the person just want to be unnecessarily bias. Right now, the expectation especially from the studio is for the movie to be a high grosser (from $700M and above) and to be profitable.

So there's no way an $800M dollar The Batman will be termed a failure, if you think otherwise, then it's just in your head. The standard Hollywood analysis says otherwise. It's just something you sat in your house and conceived, it doesn't exist which means your statement is purely based on emotions not the FACTS.

errrm I didn't read all through o, but why will marketing budget be 3times the actual movie budget? by ur standard then a movie of actual budget of 300m at the end of the day will be a north of 900million total budget? Ah!
