Aquaman was even coming from the travesty that was Josstice League and low expectations and anticipation. Heck, there was doubt DC will come out fast from that blow. But we all know how it turned out.

No matter how you look at it oo, Directors also have a role to play in movies performance. Studio interference or not. All this Shalaye I no Understand, no be the same studio all these other directors dey. Funny thing nah Snyder get name pass all of them sef. So who suppose to get more creative freedom??

Aquaman was just amazing, have re-seen it like a dozen time and I never got bored.

Aquaman is a clear prove of synder directing. Same set of character and we saw how james wan re-invented him, James wan even had to show too much in trailers just to win ppl over and God that Aquaman costume reveal won everyone over.

Have said it flash will be the nail on the coffin for all this their excuses.

But I love synder potray of WW and I love his fight scenes he sabi that one very well.

See Gunn saying suicide squad is his biggest and the movie he had most fun with, he obviously had more creative control than when in Disney. I no one just talk cus person no go hear word again. But anyone saying a Movie with the first time Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman shared screentime didn't make $1bn is successful is fvvking joking. It IS A FLOP whether it made profit or not.

I don't just understand them o, no matter how bad anyone told me that BVS is I will stil watch it reason being I just love batman no matter what he is in, but rewatch at the cinema? No I won't. And it's from multiple rewatch that a movie actually tends to enter that 1billon mark. Have decided to keep quiet u till I see the next couple of movie released by DC. The whole talk of how WB Interfering with Snyder work is just an excuse, it's his name on the line, if he knew what they were asking for couldn't be done or he didn't have a good plan why not ask for more time to develop one or just simply work away.

The the director of Loki just took a walk, Loki was successful but a se2 mostly likely wasn't in her plan, we all heard the director of joker say the plan was just for 1 movie, he most likely will ask for a long time to develop a part 2 or take a walk if WB keep insisting. WB wanted a dark knight 4 if am not wrong but Nolan didn't have that plan. And I can count other director who took a walk all bcus vision for project didn't align. Even petty was suppose to direct a movie for Disney but took a walk creative difference. U telling me WB force an adult, a director with his name on the line to direct a movie which wasn't is vision to begin with.

Yeah, I thought I was the only one that noticed the Reeves-themed WW84. That's Geoff Johns trying so hard to be the 'Feige' of the DCEU. I was so disappointed by that movie because it was a huge downgrade from WW1. They completely ruined the mythology of Wonder Woman.

A movie with batman, wonder woman, and superman will always make enuf money to breakeven no matter who makes it, the 1 billion margin defines it being successful. TDK movies with just batman made 1 billion if am not wrong, and someone is saying a DC movie with the 3big gun and a justice league movie making below 1 billion is a success. Hopefully the next couples of DC movies will shut ppl like this up and they will realize Zack style was actually the problem with DC.

He's still getting projects and making films, which means he's still very much in the movie industry. Someone said that DC projects bankrolled since Zack left have been successful. Let me see, WW1 and Aquaman both had Zack's imprints. Shazam was meh, WW84 was trash and don't even get me started on Birds of Prey. Infact, most of these new movies are forgettable and have poor rewatchability tendencies. I am eager to see these upcoming DC offerings before I finally make up my mind.

Aquaman alone made 1billion WW1 I think close to 800m a movie having 3big guns of DC didn't make 1billion, and only reason it did that much was just bcus of those 3big guns being in it.

Maybe if you're talking the Dark Knight trilogy sha. A standard Nolan movie is engineered to confuse the average movie watcher. Abeg!

there is a difference between taking a complex concept and building a movie on it, Nolan movies do not have established source material like the DC movies Snyder directed. James wan took a different approach to Aquaman and didn't complicate it, let's wait and see the flash movie , we will have this conversation again.

Apart from aquaman, MOS is still the best DCEU movie...300 was a hit, Dawn of the dead, army of the dead, were all hits that's why studios are still going after him...he over thinks things yes but every brilliant director does just like Quentin and Nolan too...if Zack was allowed to finish his vision for the DCEU we wouldn't have been having this conversation

Nolan movies doesn't take itself too serious his movies are just complex and if u are a deep thinkers u will appreciate his movies, so it's not like Nolan intentionally make things complex, Nolan basically just does movies with complex premise. TENET was just a time travel concept ppl weren't really used to, was the movie nice yes, but was it understandable no.

Zack on the other hand takes a simple concept and over complicate it. Have been following the flash series and I will say any day any time I will take grant's running cgi over that of Zack, even though the show is rubbish lately.

The extent people go to trying to get this guy to direct more DC movies is odd to me. Between Watchmen, Suckerpunch, Man of Steel, and BVS, none of his movies are critically well-liked or liked by the general audiences that much. Anyone with broadened cinematic perspective would see that his films are not serious, or epic, but just pompous, redundant and willing to take themselves too seriously, despite having the plots worthy of a grade c cartoon.

funny enuf I just had to check sucker punch on YouTube, I have been seeing the movie on dstv and I never liked it, if not that u mentioned it now I even never knew he directed it and looking back at the movie it actually has his signature style.

I don't think it's abt giving Zack freedom or not, his films just doesn't fall well with majority of ppl, mostly only his fans give praises for his movies. The so called ZSJL was just giving praise bcus the Jose version was rubbish and Zack's was better. Zack won't have had the luxury of 4 hours in an original cut, and I bet if he was allowed to even do his vison in the first film it still will have gone the way of MOS. He has the way he directs his films and bottom line is, mojor part of audience do not like it. I never even knew he direct 300 and watchmen when I saw them and I didn't like them, neither have I liked all is other films.

If James Gunn is able to crank up all this charactera in a two hour movie and the movie turns out widely accepted, then letting Zack go is the best decision WB did, plus his fans are too toxic.

the facts remaina every DC movie not directed by zack have been mostly fine and accepted by majority with the exception of BOB and suicide squad. BOB wasn't that bad na just over hype kill am, and suicide squad tone and picture was basically like a Zack Snyder film, lets not take away the fact WB didn't allow ayer do what he wanted.
