Kazeemakeem: nice thread but igbos are too expensive to marry thereby most of the ladies or men become old before getting married ,most times 40-45 yrs.
A poor person will always say expensive things are bad. Pray for God to help you with money.
Tina26: its high time government looks into this. its now a means of extortion and its driving many guys into crime. today some ladies even sponsor their own bride price. some will give you list as if they want to open shoprite
MetaPhysical: This is why North say education is a liability for South, not an asset.
We are not in a democracy, but ethnocracy. If he resigns who replaces him?
He will be replaced by Senate President. Then all of you will start lamenting that Buhari put a Northerner, we dont want a muslim/muslim, they are trying Islamize Nigeria.
Education is your liability in South.
The same way illiteracy is a liability for the North, remove free oil money from them and Mali will be hiring labourers from Kano elites.
But right is right and wrong is wrong, Osinbajo resigning is because he has become so ineffective that he is operating from inside Abba kyari pocket. His leaving there will isolate the government and force a change because many people knows that Osinbajo is the counter weight that gives the regime some false sense of civility.
This is very bad. Laws should be made in Ogun state assembly to address this problem of people killing people for rituals. This should take more priority than education and health care because it's those remaining alive after ritualists kill thousands that will live to enjoy other government benefits.
A committee should be set up to understand why people of that region love ritual murder. Then we can help to stop it.
izombie: Osinbajo loves money and has zero integrity. He loves being a VP and all the comes with it. How else could he have gotten his hands on 90billion naira? The man will never resign even if buhari tells him to start cleaning toilets in aso rock.
Hahahaha
Will he resign if they tell him to be washing undies?
horsepower101: True Aba is not anywhere close to as bad as some people try to paint it.
Yes, it’s true that the busiest and the most important part of the city is messed up but the rest of the city is not.
It time people stop throwing that city under the bus.
There was a time when Onitsha was struggling just like Aba. The road from head bridge into the city was so bad in the early 2000s. Then, Onitsha had very bad reputation because that bad road was the first thing that people saw when the cross the bridge into the city.
The people circulating fake news and promoting bad old pictures about the abandoned federal roads in and around Aba are doing so for selfish reasons. They feel that it's a way to make Igbo people feel depressed and then blame their governors only. The truth is that most of the bad spots are around the federal roads and the FG had always been diverting funds meant for the region. But we are doing good. Despite the obvious marginalization .
cjrane: Enugu is a resilient city because it was once a heavily damaged and destroyed city.
Yet it fixed itself and it is today one of the few livable cities in Nigeria. An amazing feat accomplished without any sort of Federal government reconstruction or re-development commission after the civil war. Infact, Enugu fixed itself despite overt negative actions by the Federal Government of Nigeria to keep it in the stone age by denying it any tangible federal presence or major project. Even its international airport which was reluctantly approved after so many years of appeal has been closed down indefinitely by Buhari. Under the guise of 'Reconstructing its runway and taxiway"
The jury will be out to judge if the "work" they finally did in that airport justified closing it down for so long.
