A friend of mine was recently duped. He rented an apartment in a building under construction somewhere in ketu early this year. He was given receipts, and tenancy agreement after he made payment and told to come back around ending of April this year as the building project is expected to be completed by then.

After weeks of delay in completion of the building project, he was finally given a date to move into the new apartment as the building project will be ready by the said date. However, my friend discovered to his dismay that the apartment has been rented out to 6 other people, and someone else has already moved in (claiming to be the real tenant of the apartment). This issue did not only affect my friend, but other apartments in the house had multiple people with receipts and tenancy agreements.

My friend tried contacting the owner of the house, the property developers, and the agent that directed him there. But all numbers are switched off, and the individuals are in the wind.

I would like to know what my friend can do concerning this, as he does not believe in the police. What course of action should be take to seek redress and get his money back in the shortest possible time. He is about to become homeless.

I didn't finish reading the Junk you wrote. Go and read about the declaration of Biafra, Ojukwu had meeting with Chiefs in eastern Nigeria and they told him to go ahead. Right from Amalgamation, Igbo people,Akwa/Cross hates the name Niger Area. We were conquered by the Brits in 1901 and amalgamated in 1914. Since then, we hate anything called Niger area. Ojukwu did exactly what he told to do. My granny told me that, their was jubilation and dancing on the street wen he declared it. So, don't say Ojukwu didn't have us in mind.

You can't be a good military Governor overseeing a district and also seeing your people being massacred in cold blood on the streets of Lagos and then you decide not to React.
