Asaba and maybe Agbor should join Onitsha state or whatever, but just go and join your people on the other side. I went to college in Agbor and I know these people are Igbos weather they like it or not.

Is it not obvious the benefits state capitals enjoys. If state capital is flimsy why did they not put it in Sapele?

The British lumped all of us together(and called it Nigeria) irrespective of our cultural differences, but why lump Igbos with minority peoples of the Delta? Why are people from Asaba and Agbor not with their cousins in the east? Too much injustice in Nigeria hence the constant skirmishes amongst tribes.

Nigeria should split, and us minority need a nation where we can use our resources. Wazobia grew fat on our backs. Time for us to manage our resources.

Arsene Wenger was today quoted on radio as saying one particular player is unsettling the Arsenal dressing room. Problem is I can't find any link to who he might be referring to. My hunch points it to  Van Persie or Adebayo, (the only two  "prima donnas" we have at Arsenal). It will be good to name and shame who ever  the problem is. Having started the season brilliantly, we're now lagging behind. January is round the corner and all "divas" should be gotten rid off, especially Van Persie.

one thing that i have noticed in my short stay on Nairaland is that there are a lot of Nigerians (especially abroad) who appear unable to cope with anything else other than suspicion and failure and that is why they probably will never get better in life. what is wrong with being optimistic ?

In my 15yrs in Europe I've found out those who criticize Nigeria willy nilly blame the country for their inability to make it. Those who disagree with this Merill Lynch report are the ones you'll find disagreeing on other threads about Nigeria's progress or lack of it. They offer no solution but prefer to feel good by telling you how bad things are in Nigeria (even though they left 10yrs ago to wash dishes in American restaurant).
They greet every good news coming from Nigeria with such pessimism you'd think Nigeria was run by sub-human beings.
Remember these people are down and would want to drag you with them.

Why are you so hung up on this issue? Homosexual marriage shouldn't stir up so much emotion from anyone unless they're fighting some "secret urges" themselves. I for one don't give a monkey weather two adults are allowed to marry or not.

This is not about fairness at all. How can you say it is unfair for me to acquire more than others when I have only made use of the same opportunity available to others? You can only talk about unfairness if the govt deprives others of the same priviledges it gives to the rest of the population.

Telling me I have to give back more is totally unfair. I should give to people based on my goodness of heart and not based on a fine for my success. And by the way, Conservative are more liberal with their earnings than Liberals. This is based on facts.

If the society punish my success, will the same society reward my failure? I lost a lot of money last year on some business, but I was not paid back the tens of thousands of dollars I lost.

When does this guy make these "tens of thousands of dollars" considering he spends at least 12hours on Nairaland everyday?
