PoliticsRe: I Have Had Enough, Says Jonathan by sleekp1: 2:11am On Apr 06, 2015
Flets:
Posterity will judge GEJ fairly.

Providence brought you this far sir, Congrats for writing your name in gold.

Your best wishes for this country was never hidden as we saw in your achievements in almost all sectors, roads, bridges, railways, agriculture, automobile, alamajiri schools, new universities, fertilizer and ghost worker scam elimination, freedom of press, FOI, free and fair elections, power sector.....etc

Even until late, you kept Nigeria first and saved Nigeria from impending anarchy that could have trailed a tribunal or election rejection even when you could.

You were not as forceful as Nigerians wished because of our years of military rule. We lacked patience to see your policies come into tangible fruition. You were grossly misunderstood and propaganda from the opposition camp fuelled the government apathy of the impatient populace.

I will always maintain that you are Nigeria's best president. We were few months away from implementing the confab report that would have enthroned true federalism which would have set us on the path of recovery and greatness.

I am certain posterity will judge you fairly. Through all the insults, you never reacted. You gave all freedom like we've never seen before.

IF WE MUST PRACTICE DEMOCRACY, YOU ARE THE TEMPLATE.

I don't think you lost this election, you are just a victim of a sectional majority and Nigeria actually lost you instead.

I know we Nigerians are an impatient lot with unachievable high hopes for the incoming government. In few months time, after our hopes have been met with reality. ... then we shall sing your praises.

Whenever the history of this country will be written, your section will be in gold.

Go with your head up high, even you opponents would not have taken the step you took on this journey.

You remain my HERO.
You spoke our collective minds, wow I can't thank you enough for this post, almost a work of art.

Gej wanted to dissuade Buhari from starting another bokoharam outfit after the election, it is a timely warning to Buhari.

They didn't want the insurgency to end, but GEJ the Boko slayer thought otherwise.

And if Buhari is thinking of organising another terrorist outfit if he loses, there's enough proof GEJ won't allow it again.

PoliticsRe: S’south Got Lion’s Share Of PTF Projects Under Buhari - Figures Don't Lie by sleekp1:
CHECK THESE FACTS
How Buhari Skewed PTF Projects in Favor of His Northern Zone- By Afenifere

The Abacha regime created a parallel government through the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) headed by Major General Muhammed Buhari. Nothing else typifies the marginalization of the Yoruba than the lopsidedness of the projects carried out by the PTF. Figures from PTF Situation Reports (Vol. 2 Dec. 98) show that the PTF carried on as if there was no South West.

Of all the roads rehabilitated by the PTF, only 1984.5 kilometres of roads representing 10.84 per cent were carried out in the South West; from where the bulk of the PTF revenue came since the zone consumes over 60 per cent of refined petroleum products. All the Southern States had 4,440.43 kms or 24 per cent of road rehabilitation as against 13,870.47 kms or 76 per cent in the Northern States zone three comprising the North-West States of Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara had a lion share of 5020 kms or 27.42 per cent because the Fund’s Chairman, Buhari and the military dictator Sani Abacha were from there; zone four comprising the North-East States of Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe picked 23.48 per cent. This is the zone where Salihijo Ahmed, the late Chief Executive of Afri-Project Consortium APC, the sole consultants that supervised all PTF projects came from.

Figures in other sectors were more scandalous. For instance, under the National Health and Educational Rehabilitation Programme (NHERP), the South West had zero allocation in the tertiary programme, while the North picked 100 per cent. In the vocational programme, the South West had zero while the North had 97 per cent. In the primary area, the South-West had zero against 88 per cent for the North and in the secondary area, it was zero for the South-West and 86 per cent for the North.

The health sector is similar. For the Teaching Hospitals, the South-West had zero while the North had 62 per cent. For the Specialist Hospitals, it was zero for the South-West and 71 per cent for the North; in General/State Hospitals the Yoruba had nothing while the North had 56 per cent for health clinics, it was zero for the South-West against the North’s 100 per cent.

Under the food supply summary, the Southwest had 7.26 per cent compared with 83 per cent for the North, Buhari’s zone having 60.54 per cent to itself.

Demographic Manipulation: The Northern wielders of power have skewed all demographic indicators to marginalise the Yoruba and confer undue advantage on the North. For instance, while the old Kano and Lagos used to have the same number of divisions, various demographic manipulations over the years have brought about absurd disparities between the two states. While the old Lagos remains a state with 20 local governments, the old Kano has become two states-Kano and Jigawa with 77 local governments. These are some of the indices used for revenue sharing.
90% of Nigeria's wealth comes from the SS and this dictator working with another dictator stole our resources to better his people only to twist the facts 20yrs later, who will buy this bullcrap?
We in the SS are waiting for Leadership newspaper to point to us where these projects are located.
Meanwhile we want fresh air in the SS, Buhari and leadership newspaper can kiss my a.s.ss.

Fani-Kayode however said that Jega must also show Nigerians proof that the Chinese company printing the PVCs had been paid in full by disclosing the total contract sum and the amount paid to date.

He also demanded that Jega should show proof of arrival or expected date of arrival of all PVCs for the elections and that he should equally tell Nigerians how he could have distributed 23 million PVCs within five days to election if there hadn’t been postponement.

He said it was wrong for the commission to have claimed that the election was shifted due to insecurity, adding that the electoral body was not fully ready for the election.

PoliticsRe: Jonathan Explains What Meant When He Said ‘Stealing Is Not Corruption’ by sleekp1: 9:59am On Feb 12, 2015
naijadeyhia:

Now you posted this but failed to understand even what you posted. what is moral depravity or perversion of integrity or corrupt or dishonest proceedings? FYI stealing falls within that category...Stealing is moral depravity and is also a dishonest proceeding. The dictionary does not explain everything in totality but allows you room to cross the Ts and dot your Is.....In other words fill in the blanks. If stealing is graded as a "wrong" is corruption graded as a "right"?
The president neither condone stealing nor corruption, he said yesterday that he was quoting the man responsible for that department. It was explained to the president that ICPC prosecutes those who are corrupt by the man (Umaru I think) in charge of that department. Did you not watch the interview, don't try taking things out of contest to justify your perceived understanding of the dictionary.
