Foreign AffairsRe: US Elections 2008 Results: Obama vs Mccain by sleekp1: 8:08pm On Oct 26, 2008
Seriously, if you are a minority and you vote for Mc Cain, something is really really really wrong with you,
You need your head examined if you're black and you vote reps, even Hispanics are turning to Obama.
Is Mc Cain not the same senator that voted against Dr Kings birthday? He even went to his state to canvass against it.
Experience tells me that blacks who oppose Democrats are the same ones quick to denounce any achievement by fellow black people. This is not just a black phenomenon, I think the word for it is "Self hate".
PoliticsRe: US Warns Nigeria Over Nuclear Technology And Iran by sleekp1: 3:33pm On Oct 03, 2008
Why is the US always losing sleep over other peoples nuclear ambitions? Is this because the US want's to continually maintain the status quo. When will the tards in Washington learn that the days of master servant relationship ended 30years ago.
I actually think the US gets worked up about nuclear weapons because the United States remain the only country that has used nuclear weapons.
Foreign AffairsRe: Special Radar And Troops Deployed To Israel by sleekp1: 3:20pm On Oct 03, 2008
Israel and the US will continue to provoke Iran. These people can't find a good enough reason yet, but they would soon find a reason to attack Iran, trust me.
Foreign AffairsRe: Georgia Vs Russia: Why The Apathy On Nairaland?! by sleekp1: 1:33pm On Sep 18, 2008
bawomolo:
idiot please show proof that georgia invaded Russia. is south ossetia and abhkazia russian territory??
South ossertia is a disputed territory.
North Ossetia is wholly Russian.
The South still has over 70% Russian population though.
Anyway this is rich coming from people who supported America going thousands of miles to invade Iraq.

Does Israel have Nukes? If it does its hipocrisy to halt its neighbours from trying to develop same. Why should there be one rule for Isreal and another for its neighbours?

PoliticsRe: Are Nigerians Generally Unpatriotic? by sleekp1: 3:16pm On Sep 08, 2008
What contributions have these unpatriotic Nigerians made? Answer: None
You can't expect Nigeria to be like America when all we do is nothing. Every one has a part to play in Nigeria's development.
Question:
Should Indians be patriotic when they produce more graduates than the whole of Africa and yet one of the poorest nation in the world?
Should any Chinese be patriotic when they cannot harness the millions of graduates each year?

My point is Indians and Chinese are some of the most patriotic people on earth, they never gave up on their country. See how the dividends are paying now in China.
Don't give up on your country for Rome was not built in a day. Their are dynamics that makes us poorer than Malaysia even though we got independence the same year.
Don't always ask what Nigeria can do for you, sometimes ask yourself what you can do for Nigeria.

Foreign AffairsRe: Mccain Gets First Lead In The Polls by sleekp1: 2:53pm On Sep 08, 2008
The only reason Obama might lose is if "good" whites, blacks, Latinos etc stayed at home on november 4.
Foreign AffairsRe: Why is Palin scared To face the Press? by sleekp1: 2:45pm On Sep 08, 2008
She's being chaperoned around like a heroine at the moment but will have to face tough questioning soon.

Kobojunkie:
Let us count the Honest Nigerian Votes so far

--- Because he is black
--- Because he is black
--- Because he is black
-- Because he is black, so we can use him as revenge for issues with our past by casting racist votes.
-- Because he is black.
--- because he is black. --- again this is about race ( color of skin )

--- color of skin Need I say morehuh
@  Kobojunkie
But Kobo you're the most anti black on Nairaland. You not only  post on debate relating to America, you also vehemently hate any thing black in any topic that relates to  people of color.  I've got news for you, deal with your self hate my friend, we all don't hate our skin color.
Foreign AffairsRe: Obama Indirectly Sending Message To Nigerians. by sleekp1: 3:33pm On Aug 22, 2008
Big B1:
Obama might not be the leader that expects great things coming from Nigeria; therefore, Nigerians need not to expect much from him as the president of United States.
You used to be more intelligent than this? What happened? Are you just stirring up a debate to while away time?

You are totally lost if you think Bashali is not speaking the mind of an average northern Nigerian.

As for the rest of your comment; just like you, i'm lost too. tongue
Am not surprised you're lost on boyscout's comments, they were meant for those with IQ, you should have known it was not meant for your ilk.
Any discerning Nigerian would know that the poster is either Yoruba or an Ibo man.

@Post,

When asked in 2000, shortly before the November elections, Bush said he had no concrete policy for Africa.
Nor did he have any policy for other continents apart from war.

Foreign AffairsRe: Russia Invades Georgia - Guardian UK by sleekp1: 4:19pm On Aug 13, 2008
President Saakashvili of Georgia will remain in history as one of the most idiotic person to ever grace the office of president.
What was this man thinking?
What would anybody expect Russia to do when Georgia attacked South Ossetian capital with artillery on thursday. This guy is stupid. He's looking for a way out now.
PoliticsRe: Reverse Brain Drain As Ambitious Nigerians Come Home by sleekp1: 5:44pm On Aug 08, 2008
madamkoko:
Life is harder for Nigerians outside Nigeria. (especially if you don't have your papers: considering after 9/11 and the continous scandal of 419/ AND such)

Imagine a Nigerian PHD professor working as a janitor in the States, undecided undecided

In essence its better if you go home to make something of your self.
Even if you have papers they still see you as a "nigger" (but with papers). Time to rebuild Nigeria so our children don't suffer same thing.
PoliticsRe: Ribadu Wanted For "Treason"! by sleekp1: 5:39pm On Aug 08, 2008

PoliticsRe: 40 Million Yorubas Get N14,560 Billion While River State Get N15,097billion by sleekp1: 2:14pm On Aug 07, 2008
If River's state was to calve out their own country from Nigeria, they'd probably be next to south africa in terms of riches. The goose that lays the golden egg is getting tired of laying eggs only for you parasites to come  steal it.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Won't Recognise Mauritania Rulers After Coup by sleekp1: 1:36pm On Aug 07, 2008
The military should have no place in government. The duty of the military is to defend the territorial intergrity of a nation. Am with Umaru on this one.

Tell the 40 Million Yorubas to contribute more. Since Rivers state contribute nearly all our exports the least they could get is N15,o97billion. I think they should get more.
PoliticsRe: What Is This Naija Craze About Obama? by sleekp1: 5:56pm On Jul 26, 2008
Tayo-D:
@oldie,
I would prefer you hoot for someone based on ideology and not his race. Supporting Obama based on his race is equivalent to not supporting McCain based on his race. Isn't that a clear manifestation of racism?

While I have my reservations about McCain, I am not under any illusion that Obama is diametrically opposed to my Conservative leanings. I cannot in good conscience vote for Obama. Voting that way will confuse my conscience and will probably hunt me for the rest of my life.
slowpoke. (Talk about conscience}.
