PoliticsMakinde:Restructured Nigeria Or Yoruba Presidency, 2022 Will Tell Which we Need by slimanyd(op):
Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, said on Tuesday that the time has come for Nigeria to secure its people and restructure its system against the backdrop of growing insecurity in the country.

The governor, who stated this, while presenting 33 operational vehicles and 396 motorcycles to the Oyo State Security Network Agency, codenamed Operation Amotekun.

He maintained that if restructured, every corner of Nigeria will be impacted positively, stating that no matter who is president in Abuja, the system would run effectively in a way that will be beneficial to all and sundry.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, indicated that he equally expressed satisfaction with the establishment of the Amotekun Corps, saying the corps will play a major role in filling the lacuna in the security system.

He, however, maintained that despite the community policing initiative currently ongoing in the country, the states should still push for state police.

The governor, who stated these at the House of Assembly Complex, Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan, while presenting operational vehicles and motorbikes to Amotekun Corps said that though Amotekun came into operation a while ago, the state has begun to feel its impact.

He promised that the state will make the welfare of the Amotekun Corps a top priority, saying: “You are a generation establishing structures for safety and security of the next generation. You are pioneers to ensure that we have a safe and secure environment so that we can expand our economy. And we will treat your welfare as top priority.”

The handover of the vehicles and motorcycles came few days after the governor handed over 25 vehicles to the Nigeria Police and the Operation Burst in the state to improve the security architecture ahead of the yuletide.

He said: “That is why we have been clamouring for state police because you know for a fact that you all belong to the state. We don’t have it right now, but we thank the Oyo State House of Assembly for making the law establishing Amotekun.

“If we cannot get state police now, this country will get there, I am sure. We have community policing, but we need to do better than that. But, in the absence of the state police, we have our own Amotekun Corps and the operatives are doing very well.

“I’ll like to say to the Amotekun Corps that I am really proud of you. When we came into government on May 29, 2019, there was no Amotekun Corps but, today, your impact is being felt by all of us.”

Makinde Hands Over Additional 33 Operational Vehicles, 396 Motorcycles To Amotekun Corps

Governor Makinde, who maintained that the need to restructure the country has become more imperative in the face of daunting security challenges, said only time will tell on which one is more desirable for Nigeria between a restructured Nigeria and a Yoruba presidency.

“I have heard some of our political leaders jostling around and saying they want to become the president of Nigeria in 2023. I think what we need at this stage is to secure our people and restructure Nigeria. It does not matter who is the president in Abuja. In a restructured Nigeria, every corner of the country will feel the impact of government. That is what we need.

“May God protect those running around for presidency till 2022. By that time, we will meet and, by then, we will get to know whether it is restructured Nigeria or Yoruba presidency that we really need.”

The governor appreciated chairpersons of Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas for releasing the funds to do things that are meaningful to the people of the state, noting that all the 351 wards in the state will feel the impact of Amotekun and that every inch of land belonging to the state will be covered by Amotekun.

He warned criminal elements operating in the state to desist from their irascible practices or get caught by the long arm of the law.

Speaking earlier, the chairman of Amotekun in the state, General Kunle Togun, described Governor Makinde as the number one Amotekun in Western Nigeria, noting that in order to show that there won’t be a fire brigade approach to security, the governor has equipped Amotekun effectively.

Similarly, the Commandant of the Amotekun Corps, Col. Olayinka Olayanju (rtd), appreciated the governor’s gesture, describing it as a defining moment in the life of the Oyo State Security Network Agency.

He added that the vehicles will enable the Corps to discharge their duties effectively and provide them with the required mobility to respond swiftly to the distressed and facilitate access to the nooks and crannies of the state.

He promised that the Corps will put in their best efforts “to stem the tide of rising security challenges, particularly during this festive period and put to shame those working to discredit the administration.”

akinola98:
I disagree with you on the aspect of Nigerian investment making u poorer . It depends on the type of investment u made in Nigeria and the amount of capital invested

I have a very close friend who lives in the USA who invested 100 million naira into buying FGN bond of 30yrs when coupon rate % was 17+, he makes 17 million naira yearly as passive income, which he would be collecting for 30 years tenor . My guy said he would NEVER make such in USA .... even if this guy comes back to naija now ... it is enjoyment all the way, with more investment to be made from his coupon

I know at the moment most investment rates have come down but with good amount of capital, there are still investment instruments u could invest in, to stay afloat
Wonderful. So FGN bond sef get future like this ? So, what now happens after the 30years bro. Will he get back is 100 million naira or that's the end . As he is already collecting 17million naira every year without sweating. Chai. O lord. Bless ur boy too o.

RomanceRe: Is Sex Necessary In A Relationship? by slimanyd:
Misslilbootay:
I am not a virgin because the guy I dated before made it seem like sex was the only thing that could keep him.
Unfortunately, that is another story of its own.

Recently, a friend of mine came and asked me if sex was necessary to keep a relationship. She told me the guy has given her everything she needed in a man but he couldn't stop asking for sex. She said that she wasn't ready to compromise her faith that premarital sex was a sin but she didn't want to lose this guy as he felt that her refusal to have sex with him meant she didn't love him.

The question I'm throwing now is
1. Can a man stay without sex in a relationship and wait till she is ready. (As in this case, she wants to wait till she is married)
2. Why is sex so important to men in a relationship? Do they see it as reciprocating of love especially when they spend heavily on the lady?
3. Also, most men wants a decent lady. Here is a lady who wants to keep herself for her husband but the boyfriend sees it as she manipulating him. Since you guys want a lady that isn't a borehole, why do you demand for sex when you are not sure if it will work out?

Your intelligent opinions will be appreciated.
You should also answer these questions below

1. Can a lady stay in a relationship without the boyfriend spending on her? Ask urself, won't you see it as boring and go with someone else who would spend and spoil you ?

2 why is money and gift so important to ladies in a relationship ?

3 Also ,most men wants a decent lady who would not be a parasite, gluttonous and snitch and the man would also want to keep his money till the wedding proper . So , since you ladies don't want an akagum guy, why do you demand for materials things your father and parents never provided when you know say laslas it won't work out?

Stick to your goal; Don't be distracted.

The fact that you are not getting the results now does not mean you are on the wrong path. Some dreams take longer time to manifest than others.

Never be intimidated by the success of others. You might all have started off at the same time, but you might not achieve your goals at the same time. Some goals are bigger than others, hence, they require more focus, commitmment and hardwork.

Just stick to your goal and never give up.
Keep Pushing.
Keep grinding.
Lock in on the task in front of you.
Lock in on your goal.
Lock in on your dream.
Shut out any distraction or intimidation.

Good Morning and have a great week ahead!

God does not directly give you miracle money.

He indirectly gives you miracle money, by directly giving you miracle opportunity.

What people foolishly call luck is just a situation where your preparation #collides with the miracle opportunity God gave you!

Learn to leverage on #Opportunities around you to create the future you desire and live life on your own terms!

Don't rely on the government to empower you, that #smartphone in your hands is a powerful asset, use it wisely.
