Visa denied this morning at Lagos embassy. Gurus please help me take a look and suggest ways to improve. I got no funding from the university so my COA was $40K.

Me: I am going to pursue a masters degree in Animal Science at the University of Nebraska Lincoln

Me: My goal is to pursue both my masters and PhD at the same time in the same unl which I have discussed with my supervisor. After my PhD, I intend to return to Nigeria to take up a lecturing job at my alma mater. I have always been interested in teaching agriculture to students and I love to give back to my alma mater where I earned my 1st, degree. A PhD in animal science will position me as a great candidate for the job.
VO: points to i20 and asked who is paying this $40000?
Me: my uncle
VO: what does he do?
Me: he is a real estate investor, who manages my late grandfather's real estate properties in Lagos and Abeokuta. He was the one who sponsored my high school and college education and I lived with him all through my time in college.
VO: How is he going to pay?
Me: I have his bank statement with me as well as my late grandfathers will wherein he stated that proceeds from the real estate industry can be used for the educational programs of his children. At this time I wanted to pass the bank statement to her but she said no.
VO: what type of account does he have?
Me: savings
VO: Does he have a US account?
ME: NO. I will be the one to open the account when I get there and he will send the money into my account and then I will pay it to the school.
Me: Passes the financial statements to her again
VO: (She collects it and cross-check. The statement has a balance of about #30000000)
VO: Okay but I'm sorry you did not qualify at this time. You can reapply.

I have some questions regarding the qatar student membership stuff that was posted earlier on this platform.

I got to know that one of the benefits is having a 10kg extra baggage allowance for free.

Please I would like to know how true it is and also does it apply to specific locations.

Are there people on this platform that have used it and what are the necessary documents to take along to claim this at the airport.

Correct. Only the undergraduate degree is accredited. The school just want to lure people who are ignorant. They will actually win if you sue them because of course the department is accredited but not for MSC which was not stated.

I got an offer from University of Hull today and i have to provide an academic referee and also evidence of English proficiency. I actually make use of NECO but seems its not acceptable, I'm asking if Letter of attestation that my 4years undergraduate programme was in English will be acceptable?

Ok but this did not answer my question i asked, how did the embassy finds out that an applicant has removed the money since the bank has no right to disclose the details.?

The bank I worked for doesn't't divulge present status of customer's account to a third party. I am not sure of other banks but it's against international banking standard

You mean the embassy can not ask the bank to know if the money claimed in the statement of account is truly in the account at the time of application?

I think the bank did that confirmation to them.. Fidelity Bank.. Because they confirmed he had more than required amount on the day the statement was printed.. But further investigation shows the fund is no longer in the account.. So i am sure they validated from the bank

These guys are getting ridiculous. What is the essence of the exorbitant IHS fees, if they are asking us to still pay for Covid-19 test. UK student visa is almost looking like daylight yahoo yahoo.

Both usually comes with Admin review regardless. If you have personally noticed one comes with ban and the other doesn't, then that's the case.

ALL notes will state whether one is banned or not so not sure where exactly you are going with this

Please guys if someone was refused visa on paragraph 9.7.1 for deception is the same thing as paragraph 320 which talks about this same thing.

Paragraph 320 said deception is 10years ban but paragraph 9.7.1 didn't talk about ban and give right to administrative review.

People who were refused visa on paragraph 320 they have 10years ban on their refusal letter but for paragraph 9.7.1 they didn't write anything like ban

Is the ban for both?

Please do the calculation yourself if you still have the account statement with you.

This may be a manual calculation error from UK VI.

I don't expect an auto generated statement should have this error.

Nothing wrong will happen to your passport. But wat reason wer you given for refusal?

Got refused last week Friday that my financials statement is not genuine as attached.. I guessed the scanned and upload financials was not clear enough. The specific bank's name was mentioned on my dependants refusal. I contacted both bank I used ... They where furious that they never confirmed from them before making decisions.

Although I was given the right of administrative review but.... Trust me... It's infuriating and frustrating as I did priority to meet up with school resumption.


I was advised to use My Bank Statement Portal(a direct link of sending financials between the bank and embassy) with Both banks when I appealed.

Appeal has been done.

God has plans though �

you can print your statement again for additional documents when you are appealing but ask your Bank if they have My Bank Statement Portal. They will send your financials to embassy directly. You will only upload the system generated code for embassy to open your statement. I think that is safer than unclear statement upload that leads to unnecessary distrust.
