First of all, you should not have applied with a passport with less than 6 months validity on it, because it is clearly stated on their website.

Now you can't be issued a new passport without sighting the old one as per Nigerian Immigration rules. So you have to request for your passport from the embassy, stating why you are doing so and then proceed to get a new one that will be forwarded back to the Ireland embassy. They will not put a visa on your old passport that is about to expire.

I requested for mine during the lockdown and proceeded to get a new one issued and it was returned to me

Personally I feel you would be best served by developing your technical skills before Jan (if you dont have that already), you can develop these skill by taking courses online from udemy, Coursera,edux YouTube etc. Create a profile on GitHub and take on projects. Practise! Practise!! Practise!!!. You will be better served with your ability to solve problems, solutions you can create than the degree you will earn. Combine these two and you should be able to stand out better.

Also learn python..it will help

Something similar happened to me, yes you’ll need the old one to be cancelled before they can issue a new one, the whole process takes like 2 weeks, I hope you have your National ID number

What I wanted to add was..check each school's discount policy to find the one that meets your budget
I know Stirling gives 4k to Nigerians and Bournemouth also gives some scholarship..

Hi guys, I don't know whether this question has been asked before but I'll like to know if it's possible because what I saw online isn't clear to me.

Please, is it allowed to work as a freelancer/remote/online job platforms in UK. I'm currently working on two online platforms here in Nigeria but there are some platforms that reject Nigeria/find it difficult to get jobs because of being in Nigeria. So, I guess when someone reaches UK, it will be very easy to create account on those platforms and earn cool cash. For me, I'll prefer to work online because I can earn X3 or more than doing student jobs in UK. We Nigerians have been rejected on different occasions and it's all because of our location such as Amazon affiliate, stripe, upwork (currently you can't create an account if your location is Nigeria) etc. Please, if we're not allowed to work online, when will we be allowed? After study or during holiday? If we do, how would they know? Does that mean they track everything we do online.

PS: I'm not trying to bypass any system that's why I'm asking.



i think you should be able to work online and earn whatever amount u want.....there are people in the UK who do YOUTUBE, CONTENT CREATIVES and the likes and get paid mad money but for the purpose of getting work permit after ur study i dont think it will work

Good morning house, i was sent an email by the embassy that the accommodation i booked doesn't conform to the covid19 rules and regulations. i booked a bed in 6 bed female dormitory room. What do they mean by doesn't conform to the covid19 rules? Is it that they do not want a shared apartment at all , they want someone to stay alone? Guys, I didn’t do any English Language Test but I get a mail from the Visa Officer for me to provide an evidence of English Test taken and my Birth Certificate. I was able to provide a proficiency in English Language Letter from my School and my birth certificate. Would that be sufficient?

Good afternoon house, My brother in the US who happens to be may n sponsor tried booking an appointment yespterday for me using his credit card but they sent on my mail that my appointment has been declined due to payment failure. That I would not be able to resechdule a fresh appointment up to 24hours.

Is that that the appointment fee must be paid in Nigeria naira? What should I do now?

Am still expecting mine. Decision was made in March 2019. My UPS tracking number returns nothing when I tracked on their website. Though some people with July approvals has received their passports. The Abuja Embassy doesn't attend to phone calls at the moment, they asked us to send emails, but they haven't responded to mails sent since monday
