Afam4eva: It's not about chieftaincy titles. Just about any person with deep pockets can get a chieftaincy title anywhere in Nigeria ;et alone in his own community. The question is, has he built a classroom in his community before or how many people has he empowered in his community and is that enough for him to want to contest the governorship election? Anyways, since you said, he practically grew up in Anambra state, that may give him an edge over other candidates but i'm miffed by the fact that people who have contributed little or nothing have the effrontery to wan to govern their state. You have to understand one thing here, this man is not a money bag. He is just a modest retired banker. Listed below are some of his modest contributions to the society. 1.Chief Obiano and the Wife single-handedly built the school fence of Father Tansi Memorial Secondary School with population of over 1000 pupils at Aguleri in Anambra State. 2.Chief Obiano is the Grand Pillar of St. Gerald’s Catholic Church Soluyi, Gbagada in Lagos State. This was in recognition of massive financial help by him and his friends in building the Father’s house and now the Church building under construction. 3.Chief Obiano and family support yearly the Saint Anthony Catholic Church in Houston Texas USA. 4.Chief Obiano for over 5 years donated 45 bags of rice yearly to widows of St Joseph Catholic Church Aguleri in Anambra State. 5.He is also supporting the Youths Village being constructed by Archbishop Valerian Okeke in Awka Anambra State. 6.He has also very generously donated funds in support of Catholic Church harvests both in Onitsha and Lagos. 7.He bought three brand new cars for three newly ordained Priests of Aguleri origin in 2008. |
mikeansy: lolLet me ask you. 1. Is he a businessman? What a joke! The man is a modest retired banker for pete's sake. And as for his modest contributions, see them below: 1.Chief Obiano and the Wife single-handedly built the school fence of Father Tansi Memorial Secondary School with population of over 1000 pupils at Aguleri in Anambra State. So please MR Man, hold your peace! |
mikeansy: Who is to say who is the expert and who is the novice. Who is to say who is blabbing and who is talking facts?Tell me this is a joke oga! What he has done as an individual or an elected officer? What have u mikeansy done in the service of Anambra people? What do you expect an individual with a modest earning to do for the service of the whole Anambra state? What a joke! And for those questioning his presence, read this below: His community, Aguleri, conferred on him and his wife in year 2000, separate chieftaincy titles for distinguished service. He is currently the president of Aguleri Council of Chiefs. On January 2nd 2011, Chief Willie Obiano and his wife Chief Mrs E V Obiano were adopted into the cabinet chief, igwe-in council of the idigo dynasty of the ancient kingdom of AGULERI. This high Chief investative made Chief Mrs E V Obiano, the only female in the hundred and twenty years idigo dynasty, to be so honoured. This is a man that practically grew up in Anambra and had his secondary school education at CKC Onitsha. That his career took him out of the state is not enough to question his Anambraness. Be guided please. |
To all those people shouting "lies" and "propaganda", what if this allegation proves to be right? I hope you guys will cover your faces in shame because i just read some tweets about the incident. Anyway, let us hope this is not true. |
mikeansy: Who is to say who is the expert and who is the novice. Who is to say who is blabbing and who is talking facts?Presence? Do you have comprehension problems Mr man?. Re-read my post, this time SLOWLY! Dr Obiano was born in Anambra state and practically grew up there. He went to CKC Onitsha and used to have his family house at somewhere around Ajasa in Onitsha. So for a non-Anambra man to come here and spew such lies about the man is BLABBING! Do you have any problem with that?. Below is the man's modest contribution to the society both in Anambra and beyond: 1.Chief Obiano and the Wife single-handedly built the school fence of Father Tansi Memorial Secondary School with population of over 1000 pupils at Aguleri in Anambra State. |
Clueless man! Read his manifesto please all. 1. Peter Obi is a crook 2. Obiano is a puppet 3. I will build more roads 4. Free eduaction for all. What a clueless idiot this man is. |
dbride: The budget approved only N240 million but spend N643 million instead; she overspent N403 million without approval and no due process as the agency responsible for procurement has no record of this amount. If it's proven to be true, then let her bear the consequences. Although i am still waiting for the outcome of the investigations going on. |
"Willie is in the studio of Silverbird TV. He got there quite early. It isn't clear why the STV debate isn't on yet. Please still stay tuned.". That is from Obiano on twitter. So why is the debate not yet on? hmmmmmm. ![]() |
What is going on please? Is the debate still holding? |
mikeansy: is it too hard to counter his argument without being abusive? Please kindly point out the abuse in my post and i will promptly apologize. I just don't like people dabbling into things they are obviously ignorant of. He is free to drum up support for his preferred candidate but distorting the facts when it comes to Obiano's 'Anambraness' is displeasing. Daalu. |
Lolitua: tiwa chaii...na bcoz of u na him make kim k call african gals ape...nao u con c j blige con dey smile lyk chrismas goat...no p bcoz j blige knw aw she luk lyk...buh plzzzz tiwa control yasef if u c foriegn celebs coz u're a celeb yasef..#nt jealousLook at this Mgbeke calling somebody an ape! SMH |
And some mischievous MOD has taken this crappy thread to the FRONT PAGE! No wonder Bob-Manuel Udoukwu described Nairaland as a discredited website. |
OnyiiVictor: Once u apply for transfer of voters card, a new voters card will be given to u periodNo need schooling those ignorantly mischievous folks my dear. |
Afam4eva: My point is that the likes of Obiano have no business getting into the government house in Awka cos he has no ties in the state and this is evident in his election registration in Lagos. He should contest to become the governor of Lagos where he has his life. If he loved Anambra so much, he should have moved their to contribute his own quota. People like him and most candidates in the forthcoming election are opportunist.Blabbing of a confused man! He was born in Anambra and he grew up there. He schooled at CKC Onitsha and is always in touch with his people. That his career took him out of Anambra doesn't warrant a sane individual to question his 'Anambraness'. What a skewed sense of reasoning! |
Afam4eva: I think it's high time Anambra and other South-Eastern states stopped electing people who either don't live in the state they want to govern or don't have any investment in that state. I don't like a situation whereby someone who has no connection to a state just that he's an indigene would be voted in as a governor. And your point is? ![]() |
litetias: My personal opinion is that anyone who does not see anything wrong in that outrageous amount of money being spent to acquire just two cars in a country where so many can't feed well, has some soul searching to do because it's obvious he has lost his humanity. You can say it is morally wrong but saying that she looted funds is very very disgusting and mischievous. |
wirinet: Why can you also not wait for the outcomes of the various probe panels before exhonorating her and throwing insults on anybody who raises questions. You make it seems that she is beyond reproach because she is igbo. And where have i exonerated her? Sincere people are still waiting for the outcome of the current investigations by the National Assembly and GEJ but dubious folks are already calling for head. Until we have a clear cut evidence of corrupt practice against her, you people should let her be because it is getting obvious that this might be a case of witch hunting. Thank You. |
take dat: Agreed that the leadership of APC are corrupt and self-serving individuals, but shouldn't Nigerians be curious about the sudden volte-face by the tandem of thieves in the PDP? Is it that the David Mark and co are now 'born again' or is there an ulterior motive behind their new found love for a national dialogue? How i just wish the outcome of the Dialogue wont be sent to the National Assembly. Those clueless fools will render that exercise futile. |
eGuerrilla: Indulging you and your elasticity of truth, any further, is a futile exercise.Maybe you know something we don't sir but until both committees set up by the National Assembly and GEJ find her guilty of corrupt practice, decency demands that you and your kind should hold your peace. If my memory serves me right, the woman has come out and told the world how due process was followed in the procurement of those cars. If you and your SW brothers had no ulterior motive, one would have expected you guys to wait for the outcome of the ongoing investigations. Please be guided. |
eGuerrilla: Be my guest.Sorry but who exactly is insider account sir?. Do you expect a sound mind like me to believe such crap from an insider account? We are talking facts here, not gossips and hearsay. Thank You. |
wirinet: I am trying to wrap my head around the arguments by biafrans. In summery, their main point is that since Fani kayode, abolished and other former ministers of yoruba extraction have looted public funds, igbo ministers should be allowed their quota of looting also. And that no yoruba person has the moral justification to question any igbo public officer, since igbos did not query yorubas when they were looting. Please tell us how Stella Oduah looted sir! I am patiently waiting. |
I thought they said Obiano is a NOBODY in Anambra? So why are they sponsoring false claims to get him disqualified? I laugh in bantu! Willie Obiano is definitely the next Governor of Anambra state. even the goats and chickens in my state know that already. |
eGuerrilla: That a despicable and morally bankrupt individual like you traded your conscience a long time ago, does not mean everyone else has. Please tell us how much Stella Oduah stole! Thank You! |
He is obviously the most qualified candidate! I wish him Goodluck! |
The useless haters from the SW are obviously avoiding this thread. Why? ![]() |
Brimmie:Fixed! ![]() |
Nice one! Let the hawks leave the woman alone!!! |
@OP. This your madness will soon end come November 17. Enjoy it while it lasts. |
Clerverly: Mumu, so anybody with contrary opinion becomes a yoruba to you?? Anu ofia!!Did i hit a nerve kid? . Ohhh, i forgot you are a Yoruba who knows next to nothing about my dear Anambra state. Now off to your cave. |
Chima_Adeoye: Bros, I like you, but sometimes when you write petty things like this i wonder if you are truly an im.becile. . That is freeglobe for you my dear but not to worry, you will soon get used to his senseless anti-Obi ramblings and rants. ![]() |
mekaboy: my own is let nobody come here to tell me that APGA rigged elections ooo. The handwriting is clear on the wall and you refuse to understand. . Expect threads like this come November 17th1. 'Obiano declared the winner as election is marred by malpractices' 2. 'APC asks INEC to cancel the Anambra Governorship election results' 3. "APGA rigged the elction" says Ngige 4. 'LP and Ifeanyi Ubah head to court to challenge the result of Anambra Governorship election' Like you said, the handwriting is truly on the wall but some blind clowns have refused to see and read it. I wish them all luck though. |
