There are over 50 countries applying, thousands in each.
let's say 51,000 applications each year..... only 26 will be chosen (adding both schools together).
Men with C's don't stand a chance; The soldiers with B's are hoping; Warriors with mostly A's are being honored...... That's the MCF valor.

I'm not here to scare, I'm not here to grant hope...... but what's it about? hard work or smart work?
I wonder why I casted MCF without me getting it myself, sometimes I ask if I am myopic.......
But "I finally made it to McGill"; is the phrase I keyed into my heart since I applied.

But requires ielts or toefl and also, prospective students will have to sponsor their travelling expenses, accomodation, books and other expenses as well for those who have interest.

well, i easily reveal my plans to friends and family members especially when am in a good mood and enthusiastic about the plans, even things am expected to keep to myself. inherited that from my dad. Some times, the plans dont come to pass again as i just easily loose interest. I really dont like that and all effort to stop has been futile. I just hope i wont tell my enemies and village witches when going for Visa interview or planning to board a plane.... hehehehehehe

as at last year, I think it was only U of T that combined both admission and scholarship application together. Then we'd to apply through an online portal but I'm not so sure it will be so this year.
SAT is mainly compulsory for schools in the US, although schools like University of California will request both SAT and TOEFL or ILETS. While for Michigan State University you need either SAT or TOEFL.
For schools in Canada, these exams aren't compulsory. You need good grades in your high school transcripts and certificate especially in english and your prerequisite courses, plus good and well written essays

hmmmm God help o. The expenses is over 100k for the exams o including passport compulsorily.

it depends on the school, some like U of T, you'll have to answer these questions in your essay while applying to the school (ie the admission and scholarship application are together), some like Mcgill and UBC, you'll have to apply for admission first, and download the MCFSP scholarship form where you will find these essay questions, there you can write your essays to answer these questions

eye opener. Guess u ve applied before or are u in canada already? Also, can u pls specify out the schools that require admission nd scholarship application together and schools that do otherwise Plzzzzzzz. The only constraint that many of us are likely to experience is sat and ielts, pls is it so compulsory? Do u think there are schools that look beyond that?

Sure! I can share them here SlimHan, but I'm not so sure they're are still gonn' be used this year... The essay questions for the schools are quite similar, some of them are:
1. Please provide a personal statement detailing your personal and academic goals
2. Describe the goal, your involvement and outcome of one or more community leadership initiative in which you played a role in
3. Describe a time when you overcame one or more significant obstacle/challenges so that you were able to improve the lives of others in your community. How did you react to the challenges and what did you learn from the experience
4. Describe a figure op movement which has provided inspiration within your life
5. Outline what you believe are the particular challenges faced by your country op community. Please explain briefly how achieving a bachelor degree and participating in MCFSP will empower you to address challenges in your community

ofcourse you can but you need to write toefl or Ielts and some schools requires SATs exam too. Pls try to read the thread from page 1.

Yes they've started since April. I've been in contact with both Universities. You have to first gain admission to your desired course of study (these schools sometimes have specific courses they want master card scholars to study) and then you can contact the MasterCard foundation Scholarship at these schools. There are slight differences in procedures between UP and UCT but they are for the most part similar. The only thing is the master card foundation application portal at these schools doesn't open until July especially UCT. UCT's master card office told me they would start on the 20th of July and would take 13 undergraduates and 23 Masters (postgraduate).
