1. Marcel had his vamo powers and had help of the witches to kill the werewolves. Go and rewatch s1.

2. Wolves in TVD are really portrayed to be weak and useless. Wolves are handicapped in a fight against Vampires in their human form. Marcel and all his goons would ve never dared take on the werewolves on a full moon. Thats why Vampires bully werewolves a lot in TVD.

3. Werewolves in their wolf form are faster and stronger than even the oldest vampires. Its just a pity the werewolves can only stay in wolf form once a month. Meaning they only ve access to their full powers once a month. Which is why the vampires will always ve the advantage over a werewolf.

4. Which is why the vampires dont mess with hybrids who can turn at will when they want. U think if it was a pack of hybrids in new orleans back then, Marcel would ve been able to chase them out of the city?? How many times ve we seen Hayley kill like 20 vampires on her own??

5. It is a well known fact that werewolves are stronger than Vampires according to popular lores, movies and other series. U guys are letting ur love for all these mumu vampires in tvd cloud ur judgement

Freya lost most of her super witchiness because her link with Dahlia was severed after she 'betrayed' Dahlia.
Remember Dahlia linked herself to Freya. She gets youth and longer life, while Freya gets a fine dose of old witchy powers running through her from Dahlia and vice versa.

That link no longer exists. I don't think Freya is even immortal currently. The way the old magic worked was that they both fall asleep for a century, then wake up for one year and go back to sleep again.
When Rebecca was in the asylum, Freya was on her one year waking spree. And then the link got severed afterwards by Dahlia.
