Politics / Re: 13 New Governors Borrowed ₦‎226.8 Billion In Six Months – DMO by slivertongue: 9:14am On Mar 31
dalongjnr:
Very unfortunate for plateau state.
The two former governors(Jonah Jang and Simon Lalong) that left really dealt with the state, most especially Simon Lalong.
Just borrow money to loot same.
Left unpaid salaries, over inflation uncompleted projects, vandalised and left with operational vehicles and assets of state......... No,no,no..... Solomon Lar,Joseph Gomwalk....... Wept for plateau state.
He allowed bandits and Fulani herdsmen to roamed and killed at will, without any for of stringent efforts by the state government and national forces. It was pathetically unacceptable for someone to fall from such a graceful and noble duty of care and services.

Jang borrowed 20 something billion and more than that was refunded to lalong by the FG Courtesy of Federal roads done by Jang. So Jang technical repaid what he borrowed. Lalong borrowed for the fun of borrowing

This is really not looking good. How did things get this bad quickly between El-Rufai and his political son, Governor Uba Sani?

Now I see why El-Rufai is looking towards another party. Things seems to have broken down completely at the home front. President Bola Tinubu should please step in and try negotiate a truce. This is not good for APC.

el rufia is a spent force. He is noore in a position to use religion to campaign.

most of the banks will survive it.

Very soon it will be one trillion naira. Even if the banks capitalize to one trillion naira each it won't change the fortunes of the economy if NIGERIANS consume more the produce.

Read the news.

Rice, bread, and palliatives are being shared to Nigerians on a daily basis. Dangote just shared over 80,000 bags of 10 kg of rice and bread with Nigerians.

Is that not a sign that the country is under a plague? Nigerians are now surviving on aid, handouts, and palliatives.

In just nine months in office, Tinubu has successfully turned the country into the world's largest IDP camp.

Tinubu is a packaged scam

Why is he continue losing in that same north?

Ramadan wey politicians dey take attract people, where is Atiku or his Ramadan gifts to the Masses?

Atiku is the problem of Atiku. After grooming foot soldiers he insists on absolute control of them thus their sidon look during most of his contest. Obi didn't defeat him in 2023 but his "big Man syndrome".

I'll maintain that Kwankwaso has more political value than El-Rufai. In fact, Buhari was the most influential politician from Northern Nigeria. People worshipped him because they thought he was a man of integrity. Now that he has proven that he has nothing to offer, the north has no replacement for him.

As it stands now, Southern Nigeria has more influential politicians than the north. El-Rufai is an egoistic noisemaker like Kwankwaso. Na when he contest presidential election under unknown party and get 500k votes e go rest. grin

He is not going anywhere. He has no political value beyond religious sentiments which can't fly.

seunmsg:

It is not a resolution but a law. All those concerned have a duty to implement the law. If the governor deliberately violates the law, he should be ready to face the consequences.

the functions of the legislature doesn't include implementation of laws. The resolution is null and void. The legislature can't carry out the functions of the executive. The gov has no business with their futile actions.

I like the part in bold. Now, tell Fubara and Edison to challenge the law in court. The COS to the governor has no power to declare a law passed by the RSHA null and void. It’s only the court that can do that. They should do the right thing by going to court.

Even at that who will implement the resolution of the House?
