Ebuka who shared the photos of the Northerner who is seeking for an elective position in the South-East, revealed that the candidate is seeking for Councillorship under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Those were IPOB faithfuls not "Igbos". Moreover you will not read anywhere that his supporters were attacked by There host community. What happened in Lagos was wide spread and planned. But don't fear nobody hates the Yorubas... Yorubas are great and wonderful people. Nigerians have always known their weakness for ethnic biases only that this time around they went overboard with it.

This argument is baseless. As a Nigerian, Chinedu (or whoever he may be) has the right to run for an elected position in any state within Nigeria that he considers to be his state of origin. Mathew Ashimolowo wrote a book, "What is wrong with being black?", what happened in Lagos these past days is one of the answers to this agelong question.

You can't be more right. Look at what happened in Abia, they didn't win a single HOA seat. Despite having a great candidate in Prof. Greg, yet APGA was no where to be found.

Not bad for LP considering how entrenched PDP is in Abia state. I see YPP becoming a strong force in Abia in years to come. APGA is no where to be found

The South South or North Central deserves the Senate Presidency seat more than South East.. Igbos didn't support APC in the just concluded presidential election.

Nigeria is the better for it because Obi contested under the Labor party. Labor party's emergence has opened up the Nigerian political landscape...it has shown the average Nigerian that change is possible if the masses rise up. It has shown some of those old politicians that power lies with the people and the people are not to be toyed with perpetually. Also, it has shown us how far the politicians will go to remain in power. Even if Peter Obi decided to retire politically, some other person will rise up to take his place. And this time around it may be from some other part of Nigeria. What we want is positive change in Nigeria irrespective of where it came from. If Obi had stepped down for Atiku it would have been business as usual for all.

But why I am saying that Obi affected Atiku is because Obi came out of the same PDP to contest.

You guys always want the Igbos to play second fiddle...why didn't Atiku allow Obi to run on the PDP platform if he loves the Igbos so much? I am glad for what Obi did, at least PDP as it were has lost momentum in Nigeria.

2023 I voted LP for president, Senate, State House, APC for Governorship.

I totally agree with you. Nigerian political parties have no ideology, if I may say. So voting blindly based on party line is counterproductive. But you see, in 2023 elections, LP fortunately has an array of new and seemly untainted politicians in it's fold. So that was Why it seems that the people of the old Eastern Nigeria, who have experienced bad governance for years easily identified with LP.
