This is the horrifying moment a man smashes a nine-year-old girl over the back of the head with a paving slab as she played on her bike in a random attack.
The girl was left unconscious when she was hit from behind by the thug outside her home in Turkey.
Security footage picked up the sickening attack, which police are treating as an attempted murder due to the force he hits her with the solid stone.
It took officers two months to track the suspect down, and only arrested him after he attacked another young girl at a bus stop in the Atakum district of Samsun Province on northern Turkey's Black Sea coast.

The first incident was caught on CCTV footage which shows the man - thought to be Osman C, 33, walking with the slab in his hands behind his back as three young girls ride their bikes in circles.
Suddenly the predatory attacker hits one of the girls on the back of her head with the stone and then runs off as she is knocked flying from her bike and lands on the ground.


The injured girl, who was named by police by her initials AMA, was playing with friends outside of her family's home at the time of the attack which left her unconscious.
Passers-by called emergency services and police and paramedics quickly arrived on the scene.
AMA was rushed by ambulance to the Samsun Research and Training Hospital for treatment to her injuries.
Doctors described her condition as stable and allowed her to go home after keeping her in hospital for observation for a few days.

Hotel occupancy rates in Istanbul soared in May, but the city’s hotels remained to be the cheapest across Europe, according to a leading tourism association.

The Hotels Association of Turkey (TÜROB) also noted that hotel occupancy rates in the Mediterranean resort of Antalya continued to decline, despite the recent flock of Russian tourists into the province.

Hotel occupancy rates across Turkey surged to 61.5 percent in May with an 8.3 percent year-on-year increase, according to STR Global data released by TÜROB on June 24.

The rates soared to 55.4 percent in the first five months of the year, with a 6.3 percent year-on-year increase, but Turkey witnessed a steep decline in hotel revenues in the same period, as average hotel room prices plummeted by 23 percent to 60.1 euros.

In May, hotel occupancy rates in Istanbul rose by 15.7 percent to 64.4 percent. The Average Daily Rates (ADR) of the city, however, declined 25.3 percent to 76.8 euros in May, STR Global data showed. The city’s revenue per available room (RevPAR) also regressed to 49.4 euros with a 13.5 percent year-on-year decrease. Istanbul therefore experienced the sharpest decline in hotel revenue among all European destinations.

While hotel occupancy rates in the city rose to 55.7 percent in the first five months of the year compared to 51.1 percent in the same period of 2016, its ADR declined to 72.8 euros from 97.8 euros. Its RevPAR also dropped to 40.5 euros in the January-May period compared to 49.9 euros in the same period of 2016.

Hotel occupancy rates in Antalya declined 1.5 percent to 55.8 percent in May compared to the same period of 2016. Hotel revenues also declined in May, with Antalya’s ADR decreasing to 61.1 euros with a 9.7 percent year-on-year decline. Its RevPAR also declined to 34.1 euros in May with an 11.1 percent year-on-year decrease.

Almost all other European destinations saw an increase in hotel occupancy rates and hotel revenues in May, with Edinburgh experiencing the highest hotel occupancy rate at 89.4 percent, according to STR Global data.

A man had to have metal rings removed from his penis by the firebrigade when a sexual experiment went wrong.
The 33-year-old man - who would only give his first name of 'Wirat' - had been pleasuring himself at home when he slipped two small metal rings onto his manhood.
But they became stuck and his penis began to swell - leaving Wirat in pain as the circulation was cut-off to parts of his organ.
He went to Pattaya City Hospital in Thailand on Saturday and pleaded with medics to remove the make-shift intimacy gadget which he said he had been 'experimenting' with.


Wirat initially feigned implausible innocence, saying that he did not know what the rings were or how they had miraculously appeared there.

But then he admitted he had put them on himself.
Doctors tried to remove the device but had to call the local rescue group for backup - who arrived with a selection of plier, cutting tools and a reporter who had picked up the emergency call.

West Nile virus warning as health departments across the US report the season's first detection of mosquitoeswith the killer virus

Mosquitoes carrying the potentially dangerous West Nile virus have been detected by health officials across the US.
Several state health departments announced within the past week they had spotted the first signs of the virus for the 2017 season.
Some of these states include New York, Illinois, Texas, Minnesota, Michigan and California.
West Nile virus can cause serious complications if contracted, and is characterized by nausea and fever.


The New York City Health Department announced on Monday it had detected signs of the virus in the pesky insects.
The agency says the infected mosquitoes were found in Staten Island. No human cases were reported in the agency's announcement Monday.
The department says it will spray pesticides to target mosquito breeding grounds if persistent West Nile virus activity is reported.
New York is the latest state to report detection of West Nile virus.
Last year there were around 2,000 cases of West Nile virus reported to the CDC.
Of these, 56 percent were classified as neuroinvasive disease, such as meningitis or encephalitis, and 44 percent were classified as non-neuroinvasive disease, according to the organization.
One out of 150 people infected with the disease will develop severe illness.
Symptoms include high fever, headache, neck stiffness, stupor, disorientation, coma, tremors, convulsions, muscle weakness, vision loss, numbness and paralysis.
These symptoms may last several weeks and neurological effects may be permanent.
Toni Corona, an official for Illinois' Madison County Health Department told The Telegraph that a mild winter may lead to more mosquitoes during the summer.
She said the weather allows for more adult mosquitoes to survive, which could mean a higher number of insects carrying viruses such as West Nile or Zika.
West Nile can be found in mosquitoes in mostly any state, but California, Colorado, Illinois, South Dakota and Texas had more than 100 cases each last year.

An attacker who detonated a nail bomb he was carrying in a suitcase at Brussels Central Station has been identified as a 36-year-old Moroccan national from the jihadi ghetto of Molenbeek.

Officials have said the suspect, named Oussama Zariouh, was not on their radar for links to terrorism, though some local media said he was well-known for being as serial sex offender and others said he was embroiled in drug crime.

He is the latest in the long line of extremist to have come from the Brussels municipality of Molenbeek, branded as the 'jihadist capital of Europe' which harboured Salah Adbeslam, who is in prison for the Paris attacks in 2015.

Attempted suicide bomber Zariouh entered the station at 8.39pm and twice approached a group of 10 passengers and on the second time stood in the middle of them, screamed, and tried to blow himself up.

It appears he botched his attack as the suitcase, which contained nails and gas canisters, only partially exploded before catching fire which later caused a bigger blast.

When he realised his bomb had failed, he ran down the platform towards the station manager before returning to the scene of the blast shouting 'Allahu akbar' at a soldier, who shot him dead.

It emerged this afternoon Zariouh was an Islamic State supporter and Belgian authorities found explosives in his home.

The rapper Prodigy, who made up one half of the group Mobb Deep, has died aged 42.

The hip hop star, whose real name is Albert Johnson, was on tour in Las Vegas performing with the "Art of Rap" tour alongside Ghostface Killah, Onyx, KRS-One, and Ice-T, amongst others. Mobb Deep performed Saturday.

The artist suffered from health issues throughout his life, however it wasn't immediately clear what the cause of death was. He had long suffered from sickle cell anaemia, a condition in which red blood cells contort into a sickle shape and die early, leaving a shortage of healthy red blood cells. The condition can lead to a painful blockage of blood flow.

"It is with extreme sadness and disbelief that we confirm the death of our dear friend Albert Johnson, better known to millions of fans as Prodigy of legendary NY rap duo Mobb Deep", his publicist said in a statement. "Prodigy was hospitalized a few days ago in Vegas after a Mobb Deep performance for complications caused by a sickle cell anaemia crisis. As most of his fans know, Prodigy battled the disease since birth. The exact causes of death have yet to be determined. We would like to thank everyone for respecting the family’s privacy at this time.”

Prodigy first broke out onto the music scene with his partner, Havoc, forming Mobb Deep in their hometown New York City in the 1990s. The duo participated in high profile feuds during their early years, and once had "beef" during the media-fueled East Coast-West Coast hip hop rivalry with Tupac and Biggie Smalls.

They released their first duo in 1992 with the name Poetical Prophets, and released their first Mobb Deep album a year later with the album Juvenile Hall. The duo reached commercial success together in 1995 with the release of the critically acclaimed album The Infamous, which sold over 500,000 copies within the first two months after release. They released the album Hell on Earth a year and a half later, which also received widespread critical acclaim.

They collaborated frequently with other artists, including with Nas, who helped propel their visibility early in their career. Prodigy was generally regarded has the lyrical lead in the duo, while Havoc was better known as pulling weight producing the beats.

Prodigy launched a solo career in 2000, releasing mix-tapes in collaboration with a range of producers including Un Pacino, Big Twins, and the Alchemist. He released his last album, Hegelian Dialectic, in January.

Soldiers burst into a Thai brothel last night to find a man having a party with two young prostitutes in a Jacuzzi.
The western man, who has not been identified, was drinking at the Rioja club in Pattaya when the raid was carried out.
He had taken the women, who were in their 20s, to a private room and paid around 3,000 baht - the equivalent of £70 - for an hour in the hot tub with them.


But authorities, who have recently banned new strip clubs from opening in the city, were at the same time continuing their raids on bars to root out prostitution.
Police and army officers found 15 sex workers downstairs drinking with customers, one having sex on a bed upstairs, and in the last of the ’short time' rooms the western tourist in a bubble bath.
He was drinking beer, smoking a cigarette and receiving MouthAction from one naked woman while another watched.


Pattaya police chief Colonel Apichai Klobpetch said: 'This was another successful operation. We cannot allow this in Pattaya.
'This is a resort for families of every age to enjoy. We will continue more operations to clean the area.'
Undercover officers initially entered the club and confirmed that sex was available by offering 3,000baht for a girl.
After raiding the club, they found codoms, lubricant and other intimacy gadgets on the premises.
A 52-year-old woman who claimed to be in charge of the business was arrested and taken in for questioning.
