BrodaBenad: to where? Yes the people shouting ebi npa wa are Igbos 🤡🤡🤡🤡
🤡 In contrary There are more Yorubas In the north than Igbos Yes I know that because I travel alot
Which place are talking about again?
Lagos?
Only 7.9% of people moving to Lagos are Igbos
Another APC propaganda myth bursted again This one no enter. SW is Lagos and Lagos is SW. It is normal for people to move around their region since they have same language, culture, food e.t.c. But the next up the list are the ones that complain yet they won't go back to their region. Ps: Jakande is the best or 2nd best governor to ever rule Lagos. He is from Kwara state. |

gidgiddy: Use your brains before you open such thread. It does not matter how much you farm, or how large your food production is, once you are displaced by war , you will face hunger and famine. Even the farmer producing the food is running from bullets and bombs and cannot farm Ukraine despite thousands of them being displaced is not facing hunger and famine. Infact, a lot of Ukrainians are displaced all over Europe and North America, yet they are still exporting food. |

The Peter Obi movement of 2023 was something else... Rarely ever seen before in this country.
Many senators, reps and the governor of Abia have Peter Obi to thank for their current positions. I agree with you, and he has Atiku to thank for making him VP. The same PDP Obidients now call criminal structure as if Peter Obi wasn't a member |

This is why I am for regionalism, or some form of highly conservative, or even nationalist style of government by the regions. To summarize, restructure the country. Instead of others to hold their own governors, state assembly members, LGA chairmen, and supervisors responsible, they instead move from less prosperous regions to more prosperous regions. Monkey dey work, baboon dey chop. When those prosperous regions protest for more good governance, these migrants from the other region mock them. SWesterners, please continue to protest and push for good governance. “For the people of the South-West, restructuring also has a more pressing meaning. Today, Nigeria has a population of 200 million which would double in the next 25 years to 400 million.
“However, the South-West is facing an avalanche of migration from the other zones of the country to the extent that in 25 years’ time, if the current trend continues, the South-West would be home to 50 percent of the population of Nigeria.
“By this time the states of Ekiti, Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Osun and Oyo would be home to at least 200 million people. We need to plan for this eventuality on a regional scale. We need to be prepared so that our regiqon would not be overwhelmed by imported challenges” |

Againstallodds: No problem in paying tax but don't complain that prices are high. We are Igbo's we know how to survive the hardtime You see, they don't want to pay taxes. That is the issue. They are not the only traders in the markets. How come other traders of different ethnicity are not protesting against paying taxes? It's absurd that they try to make it a tribal issue..... Thr way Ilorin is mocked by SE on Nairaland, one would even think ibos do not live in the city.

AntiZikist: Considering that Nigeria's economy was largely agricultural based at the time of the civil war, why did Biafra require food aid ?
Where they not farming or where they dependent on food imports from across Nigeria ? Dominant soil in the SE region is Red soil (Mud or Clay) Clay is not stable neither is it fertile for agriculture. They become water logged and deprive plant of oxygen needed to grow. |

The government of kwara state tax every body living in the state, irrespective of where you are coming from.
Hausa, Yoruba, Edo, igala and so on begging to pay their tax to further enjoy more infrastructure in the state.
E reach Igbo side, Dem start gathering themselves claiming that govt tax them because they are Igbo. Is that not madness?
Abeg, make Igbo leave Ilorin before hand touch them.... Let them go back to their village and never come back to the west or north.
Make them dey enjoy the good governance that they have created in their land.... If they cannot do that then they should be ready to do anything our authority told them to do.
They are using this protest to blackmail the governor of kwara that he is taxing them because they are Igbo
I'm tired of this people aswear..... Make we break Nigeria make every park and go. Yes. I saw the video on twitter. I am like what the Bleep. These people do not want to pay tax because they think government is asking them to pay tax because they are ibos. It's Just pure illiteracy. |

babeface3: How does this remove the fact that the scale of poverty in country has made the North East more vulnerable. Showcasing the north east situation in such unabashed way smacks of baseless undiluted hate for the man that is saying the truth. Why not take such aid to Gaza or even Haiti where gang warfare sacked scores a fortnight ago. I work in not for profit in north east and every development worker knows that the UFP meant the abject poverty in the country in their intervention. Not mentioning the whole country is simply euphemistic and meant to massage the ego of the ruling class.
Nigeria is the only place ethnic bigotry and baseless hate outdo abject poverty You have google use it.

Ohanaeze protests Senate's rejection of Anambra into NDDC, calls it's marginalisation
The youth wing of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide has expressed dismay over Nigerian Senate’s rejection of bill seeking to include Anambra State as one of the member states of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), describing it as part of marginalisation of Igbo.
The Senate had on Tuesday, thrown out the bill, saying that Anambra was not part of the Niger Delta region, which is the reason for the establishment of the interventionist agency.
President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio quashed the bill after the lead debate on the bill for an Act to amend the Niger Delta Development (Establishment Etc.) Act N 86 LFN 2004 to include Anambra State as one of the Member States (SB 271) as sponsored by Senator Tony Nwoye, Labour Party Senator representing Anambra North.
According to Akpabio, the NDDC was created to address the environmental degradation in the region following the oil exploration activities in the zone, adding that although Anambra is now among the oil-producing states and is getting 13% derivation from the Federation, it cannot be added to the NDDC against the backdrop that it goes contrary to the purpose for which the agency was established.
Nwoye thinks red mud erosion is caused by oil spillage.
