I created you to keep track of my progress as I venture into learning software/web development and eventually become an established developer.

Today I downloaded a course: The Ultimate Full Stack Web Developer Bootcamp by Kalob Taulien. Going through the contents, Kalob advised that one of the best editors is VS Code, so I downloaded it too.

So far, I have learned how to customize the VS Code editor; create an html file; add the html, head, title, body, bold, italic and underline opening and closing tags. I also learned how to link different pages both internal and external.

Tired already, see ya tomorrow my dearest diary.


P.S: Special thanks to the ogas at the top, the likes of @tensazangetsu20. Going through your thread on the languages newbies should learn was a huge source of motivation. I'm grateful boss.

My motivation was poverty. Before becoming a programmer, I used to be a mechanic and it was a miracle for me to even see 50k in a whole month. I was always so broke. Wearing tattered clothes. All my trousers were torn in the ass and people would see my balls when walking. I started thinking of getting a job when nothing was working and almost all the jobs online with good pay were programming jobs thats how I took the plounge. Used my last card to buy a HP folio and was studying ten hours everyday atleast for six months.

ATTAHDYE:
I can teach Microsoft Excel.

I have seen several job seekers go for interviews and fail because they can't use this very important and simple offfice tool.

Start with trailhead it's free and open. Once trailhead is done head to focus on force and buy the exam guide and past questions for the cert you want to pursue and start studying there too. There's some additional resources but those two are the main one that was most helpful.

let say I got salesforce Admistrator certification paying for the exams,what if I decided to get another certificate like developer certification will I still pay for it.

No it does not. All you need is a proof that you are skilled in such field, either by learning from professionals in the field or by watching various tutorials. I will advice you to learn from a reputable platform like EDX (Owned by Harvard University) or coursera, I got some certificates through coursera from University of Maryland and through Edx from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore which i always include in my CV because its verifiable and i surely possess the skill.
