Blendy77: Emeka is God sent. When I was still undecided on where to have my babies, he encouraged me to use Georges since I did my antenatal there and also becos he will be there himself to ensure everythg goes well as his ivf patient. I thought of the money involved since my companies clinic doesn't refer patients there and we considered Georges. Despite the fact Dr Emeka is not a staff of Georges and won't be paid for any services rendered, he was there with me from my entering into the theatre and even did the stitches himself after he brought out the babies. Even my hubby was marvelled at the way he took charge to ensure everythg goes well. Am grateful I met this God sent Dr who will go the extra mile to make his patients happy. If u're still in doubt of who Emeka of Georges is, just call him to dicuss your case and you will know if he is the same as other ivf Doctors.
Congrats my dear Blendy. May God bless you and your family. Love to your family.

I am so grateful that i found this post. Being TTC for 11 years now. done 4 ICSIs and 2 FETs no live birth. Got pregnant from First ICSI but miscarried @ 24 weeks. since then have achieved pregnancy with any subsequent procedure. I have done treatment for NK cells using intralipids, low dose aspirin, etc. last procedure was in 2011, all of our treatments were done in the UK. Anyway we have decided to do another one and right here in Nigeria, so was searching for clinic when i stumbled on this post, am i glad i did. I have called Dr. Emeka.

I am so glad to read the joy in all the women who have successfully achieved pregnancy. We praise God almighty. Congrats to you all.

Blendy how are you doing, may God continue to strengthen you in Jesus name, amen.

i HAVE A FRIEND WHO WAS REFUSED AND HE APPEALED AND WAS LATER GIVEN. hE ACTUALLY MADE IT ON TIME TO START WITH THE SESSION.

But you have to look at their reasons.

Take care of the financial aspects very well I think that is the part that bothers them the most
FamilyRe: Parents: Is It Time To Spare The Rod? by smiler(f): 7:12pm On Sep 17, 2006
Waoh!!!!!! This thread is kinda interesting.

Considering that for some days now this issue has been bugging me and now i see it in the forum. The truth is dat the family system is gradually fading and that is what is spoiling every thing.

You can spank a child and he will turn out well, you can also NOT SPANK A CHILD AND HE WILL ALSO TURN OUT WELL. But i think every child should be treated on a case to case basis if we are to be realistic.

You can spank a child with so much love especally when the child knows he/she has done wrong and they will be so ashamed and sorry that they will try as much as possible not to do it again.

I and my 3 brothers grew up with our mum after we lost our dad, she worked real had to give us her best. And were we close?

She spanks us when we did wrong. But she was always there for us. We could see how much she loved us she was never too busy.

Love is the solution not OVER COMPENSATING which most parents do now, give a child every thing she wants and never be there for her, compensating with money toys etc.

If parents are close really close to their children then there will be communication and you get to know your child so much that we she says she was molested by an Uncle then you will know that she can not just fake it.

Even in the western world some kids suffer the same thing, and yet not all of them can complain you only hear of it when they all grown.

CLOSENESS AND LOVE IS THE ONLY WAY OUT

The way to a Man's heart is through the gate of his belly!!!

You hardly find men who are well-fed at home, well-cared-for at home, loved by their wives, as in when the husband can see that "this-my-wife-really-loves-me", who can still go out sleeping around.

Its usually men, whose wives nag 24/7, whose wives have gone to bed before they come home from work, and whose wives don't wake up early in the morning to get things in order before the husband leaves home, and the poor man now has to make do at the nearest fast food joint on his way to the office, such men will definitely cheat, because, by the time the Cashier lady is smiling cheefully at around 8:30am in Mr Biggs, to this poor husband who came to get breakfast, and who didnt get to see his wife smile "good morning" to him before he left home, he'll definitely come back to the joint on his way from the office to get another smile.
@ Kimba; I don't agree with you totally, The fact is a cheat does not need any reason to be one. There are men in this country who have saints as wives and yet they will say that " its a man's world, and that polygamy is allowed in Naija.

When IBB's son got married to Rahama ( that beautiful black ebony princess) I looked at her and wondered aloud why this guy would ever look at another woman, and a guy looked at me and laughed, he said it wasn't about beauty, being nice, lovely or homely, he said " IT WAS A MAN'S THING THAT THEY ALL KNOW IT'S WRONG BUT,  "

In a way too i agree that sometimes a woman could be the catalsyt that pushes the man away but my dear I can only attribute 5% to this particular case.

The truth is that men are generally selfish, they tend to love them selves more and it's so bad, because this same cheating man will be the first to throw his spouse out if he as much as hears, not to talk of confirming that she cheated on him.

Men!!!!!!!!! huh huh huh huh

FashionRe: What Is Reigning In Nigeria Now? What's In Vogue? by smiler(f): 4:50pm On Mar 30, 2006
The pictures sent in by disney, you can go ahead and deal but it's here the only differnce between yours and the ones here might be the label and that is if it is conspicious, This is naija you are talking about and when it comes to the rest of Africa we sure do beat them in trends.

just relax and be yourself after all you are coming home to see family not necessarily for a fashion parade. Abi no be so?

As for the "all star converse" stuff i never see am for here maybe you didn't get what your friend meant, chances are she meant that Nigerians immitate stars way of dressing.

FashionRe: What Is Reigning In Nigeria Now? What's In Vogue? by smiler(f): 4:14pm On Mar 30, 2006
It all depends on your style "ma" dear, basically there is nothing out there that you won't find here in naija and this is for real face it, If you remember naija very well you should know that your people are very good imitators, the tank tops, the shots, the roll up 3/4 pants just name it and they have got it, therefore you can't dazzle us believe me, I do shuttle quite a lot so i know.

If you really want to dazzle and maybe stand out then i think they will be dazzled more if you dish out real designers' label and correct sunglasses with flawless make up and do it decently. people might expect you not to dress properly/decently just b/c you just came from akata, surprise them

The straight hair is cool if you can get real human hair and make it flat so you might be able to pull it up with , did you see the movie Gabrielle Union did with LL cool J, her hair was straight and wonderful ( the title is getting rid of eva or something not sure again).

Wetin you think

Nairaland GeneralRe: Friend Thinks Nigerians Are Too Bossy by smiler(f): 4:47pm On Feb 24, 2006
Your friend has bigger problems, i don't believe in generalising especially when it comes to people, she is obviously pissed about naijas because she has this feeling that we are doing better then they are ( while we actually think they are doing better then we are) Life. She has a lot of anger bottled up may be her ex bobo caused it huh

FamilyRe: If Your Husband Impregnates A Woman And Plans To Marry Her by smiler(f): 12:34pm On Feb 17, 2006
I actually read through the contributions by members. It's really sad when situations like these come up in any home but I think there are issues that might have led to this ugly incidence that we have to look into.

There are men who are never appreciated by their wives no matter what the man does, and there are women out there who are ready to leak the paws of these men ( it could be all in pretense though), but bottom line is women should learn to treat their husbands as kings.

But let us not forget that there are men who just can't accept love, no matter how much love you show them they would always trample it on the floor, so what then do we do?

I would stay, but i will prefer if the woman stays out.
