Angel2013: Hi,, I am Evan undergone the fertility treatment in Chennai, In India. I found this thread would be useful to me. I travelled all the way to India from us since the treatment was good and cost is also very minimal compared to here. Now i want to suggest to one of my relative, who is in Uganda reg the treatment in Nigeria. But i suggest her to take the treatment under Samundi mam where i took in Chennai. She cannot travel to India. Can u pls suggest the good doctor in Nigeria and the cost also.
Hope i found this thread in right time.

There are lots of fertilty clinic here in Nigeria. But since she is in Ugadan I believe it would be better for her to go to South Africa. She can google fertility clinics in SA.

seza: Hello Guys, I have been reading this thread for months now. I stumbled on the thread after being frustrated. we had started a with OMNI and the experience wasn't anything to write home about. that one on one interaction was just 40%. We ended up seeing MOs, who would want to see us in groups of 2 and 3, and I objected, and on one occasion one of the MOs read a result done in the previous year as the new one and gave medication based on that result. It wasn't until I had a second mind to check that I realized the error, weeks after, talk about taking medicine for nothing. We complained and no proper apology was given. we did an IUI and an MO was going to do the implant, and we again objected. You can imagine my frustration when the results of the pregnancy test came back negative.
Fast forward to a Google search and I ended up here, and for months I had been scanning reading trying to make a informed decision. One name that always came up was Dr. Emeka. My thoughts was for the name to come up that often then there must be something about the man. So I call him and he was courteous on the phone and engaging. He even sent an sms later asking if a received his email.
well we met him in person and I must say we were but blown away and the meeting educated us more than the past few years we had spent with other hospitals. The attention and care was fantastic. He finally asked how I got his details and I told him a thread on nairaland and he was shocked. like they say when you do good work it will speak for itself. The Journey continues.

redeemersave: Gbam confirmed, I rushed there when I got some informations from here, seeing my hubby's count he advised nothing but a donor, how can? I couldn't tell my hubby cos he will say I wan go collect pesin kpekus. I was convinced its not of God and had to stop going there. At least he has sperm in him, why suggesting donor? He even told me if am ready and don't want to be induced he will just insert the sperm into me and would cost just 15k, that some women do it there n get get bfp in a week. I ran fatser my legs could take me.

With 12million sperm, IUI is even possible in some very good clinics, they will wash the sperm and seperate the most mobile onces from the slow once, the only thing they will collect a very good volume from the man so that the process won't reduce what they need and then insert into the woman what is needed.

Nogen: Waooo! So sorry about the lose. He must be a very good doctor having gone that far to shrink the polyps unlike some doctors that will hurriedly the transfer. My former doctor saw the fibroid in my womb and still went ahead to transfer. I overheard another doctor asking why they were transferring the embroyos with the fibroid in the womb. He still went ahead and did the transfer. So sad. Pls, which clinic did you use?

I wish I could say. Unfortunately I went into preterm Labour, baby came out alive but died after 10 mins in my arms, she cried o. I don't like reliving that day, 28 April 2008. Was my 1st cycle and only one with a BFP. Have done 4 more fresh cycles and 2 FET since then.

Nogen: Okay, thanks dear. Were you placed on Zoladex before the procedure or after it? This is my third ICSI, I want to seek proper guidance and also know that am doing the right thing before I start any procedure this time around. Don't want any doctor rush me into things.

@ Nogen I was placed on Zoladex for four months prior to the Hysteroscopy because he found an intrauterine polyps. He wanted to shrink it a bit before doing ball diathermy on it via hysteroscopy.

I got pregnant thru that cycle, but lost it at 24 weeks.

Nogen: Good evening everyone. Can someone help me out here please? How long can one wait after a Hysterescopy before commencing IVF? Been booked for it later this month but won't be able to start iVF until early August or late July because of work related issues. Those who have gone through it, how long did you wait before you started your stimms?

My doctor asked for 3 cycles before proceeding with ICSI after hysteroscopy, could also be because I was placed on Zoladex ( forced menopause).

Please in this journey of motherhood and father hood,I may say that it is not how perfect a Dr is, because if the Lord does not watch the city it is vain that the watch men lay awake at night.


I only came across this thread about two weeks before I came down to Nigeria for my procedure, based on you all encouragement (blendy in particular)by that time, all the particulars in need to fly down abroad were all ready,to the extent that when I went back to change my flight ticket to Nigeria, the agent I used refused,after, everything the only make a 40% refund to me and my hubby that I bought the ticket on promo, But I never give a dam.

I never knew blendy neither Dr Emeka from adam,but with all I read on this thread I never have a biased mind that I will not get my BFP from Dr Emeka on my first attempt with him. Even the day of my ET, Emeka he asked my hand in prayer but I told him not to worry that I am pregnant already.

To say the fact, among all the Dr's I have been meeting and using since this journey,both African's, Americans,Eurpeans,Arabic etc, I would strongly say that Emeka is the............

However,In this journey, we should all put God first,before I came to Nigeria in February, the Redeemed church were doing there annual fasting and prayer,I joined them, I was still on that fasting until I came down to Nigeria,If you had seen me on my first day and my first week of being in Nigeria I wonder what you would have said ,I know that even for Emeka's mind on my first visit to him,he would even wondering weather this woman would be able to foot his bill,from the way I look, I prayed, sow seed,offset all my vows,when I did all these, I told God,Now, I have done my part,Proved to me that you still sit on the throne.

Moreover, I also watched what I eat,somebody once told me, that I like eating odd food,I laughed,cos she does not know what am going through.I rested,ex -communicate myself from families and friends,to the extent that all my stay in Nigeria my parents did not set their eyes on me, you can imagine! I eat lots of ugu,titus fish,tiger nut,drank lots of water as pikinmama,once mentioned,eat lots of pineapples even in one of my scan with the Dr,he mentioned it that I have eaten lots of Vegetables,But in all it is still God.

The morals of My story is lets us not be discouraged,do whatever the holy spirit push you to do. I came to Nigeria with the move of the spirit,and he did not disappoint me.
So God will always answer all of us at the point of our needs.

I saw my baby's heartbeat last week that I started rejoicing and praising God because I never get to this stage wt my previous ivfs; only for me to do another scan yesterday and the heartbeat is gone. ..I'm really sad and feel so alone.God what have I done to deserve this .

Faith2012: Hello everyone,it's pretty long I visited the site due to small small worthy of experience discomfort of pregnancy in which God has been faithful. I still want to encourage as many of us that are still waiting that the Faithful God has not forgotten you, He is preparing the best for you at His best time, pls don't give up,keep trusting Him,He works with and honour our faith, as He did for many of us He will do for you. Remember weeping may endure for all night but joy surely follow in the morning,if He can answer me after 16 years at age 47, He will surely answer you, I'm five months now just like yesterday,pls join your faith with mine as I believe God for you that you will experience the joy I am experiencing now. Pls do one thing for me visit the right clinic with God fearing medical team who will not see themselves as the one doing it but God. SHALLOM you will testify soon

goldee29: I wasn't given any antibiotics oh, just some pain reliever (paracetamol - I believe) and cyclogest. If the pain doesn't subside, will give the Doc a call tmrw.
