Tested negative today. Always remember that God has given you everything that pertains to life, including children. Don't ever give up and don't ever lose your hope. |
Tanidabi my sister I understand where you are coming from. The truth is that TTC brings out lots of emotion. Today you feel strong and feel in control and tomorrow it's another story where you find yourself sinking again. It's crazy but I thank God for His grace that has carried us through these past 11 years. First ever pregnancy through ICSI ended in in miscarriage at 24 weeks. Baby came and lived for like 10 minutes then she died in my arms. God was with me through those period. I could have been depressed but His mercy said No. Have tried 3 more cycles and 2 FET with no success. Right now I am on my 4 ICSI and my test date is tomorrow. I went into this cycle telling myself that I have seen it all hence I was going to take it one day at a time in God's presence and allow him to glorify himself in our lives. TCC is stressfull and if you are not careful it can steal your joy from you. But I settled that as far back as 2003 that nothing and I. absolutely nothing will steal my joy from me. Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls— Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. (Habakkuk 3:17, 18 NKJV). Live your life to the fullest, do whatever you believe you need to do, but don't think happiness or your joy is dependent on the birth of your children, by God's grace your children will come. Y'all have a wonderful and God centered weekend. |

Nogen: Sir, I will dance all, am sure another dance step must be out by then. Ama dance very well o. People around would think am your wife's younger sisterThanks Nogen. |
@ Blendy, what else can we say but thank you God almighty. |
@ Ticha I did 3 cycles and 1 FET in a UK teaching hospital and they were all 2 embryo transfers. One of the cycle was even funded under NHS. In the UK they advocate for a maximum of 2 embryo transfer for under 40 years women and a maximum of 3 for over, HFEA insists on it. Both for private and NHS clinics. |
My people I just say make I hail o! I am on Day 3 of 2 WW. @Graceful, your testimony is amazing. I give God all the glory for you. Congratulation. @ Tanidabi I praise God for your spirit. |
@Tontolo sending you baby dust and sticky vibes. May God perfect what he has started in Jesus name. @Tanidabi may god grant you your heart desires. Gimnaeto, I had uterine polyps taken off through hysteroscopy. If your doctor says to droit then trust him. Ladies do have a wonderful day. Remain hopeful! |

Nogen: @nogen . Yes the 1 million is for everything. But they recently had a review,so ivf icsi is now about 1,150,000.@Nogen I am using Blendy's clinic. |
tontolo: @ double blessing: congrats dear, our Lord is indeed a faithful. And for other women in the waiting room, the month of march the Lord will march us all out of the land of barrenness.@Tontolo God indeed is on the throne and he will perfect all that concerns you. Which clinic are you @? |
opelistic1: Myself and my hubby has being to a clinic for ivf, but could not continue due to d pay, does it mean I will not ve a child of my own? So sad.My dear Opelistic, children are gifts from God. Don't give up. |
Amen! |

Wow! Congratulation sir. May God perfect what He alone started. Love to madam and your babies. |
akintr1: Thanks Blendy77, we are not going for IVF,becuase it is male issue that we have not even low sperm count but azospermia, and as I said earlier,it is not blockageAkintr, Most fertility Clinics offer IVF/ICSI. With the option of TESE or PESA. |
@ Akintr, Dr. Ikenna Emeka does Surgical retrieval of sperm, I have spoken to him and that is what we plan to do with him. I talked about LUTH (university of LaGos teaching hospital)and Blendy talked abouth BUTH (university of Benin teaching hospital). Google Regenesis fertility clinic its in Lagos. I have a friend who has done ICSI twice and in each case she got pregnant and she has 2 girls from 2 ICSI. The younger you are the easier it is to get pregnant. Don't start with fear. Some clinics have donor programmes where if you donate some of your eggs, the money You pay will be reduced, if you don't mind that you can alSo try that route. |
Nogen: Thank you all for all the wonderful recommendations. I took some time off ivf after a failed second attempt at St.IVES Ikeja. I decided to seek another opinion elsewhere without knowing for sure which hospital to go to really. I have been to The Bridge Clinic to make inquiries and was supposed to have started my medical examinations end of January but I kept having cold feet. Just yesterday, I came across this discussion on this site and I discussed with hubby who encouraged me to find out the location of the hospital.Welcome Nogen.sorry to hear about your failed attempts. I totally agree that in IVF there should be no room for mistakes. Having said that I also believe that every couple should try as much as possible to find out everything they can about IVF before going on to invest in it. Imagine investing close to N1M in a business without information in it. I had a case of bleeding 7days post ET. When I told my doctor he waved it off. I kept insisting so he increased my luteal phase support in the next try. But it still happened. There is just no way any Embryo will implant 7 days after it was transfered. I still complained to him that apparently I don't absorb the gels. I asked for intramuscular injections he refused. So I sought a second opinion. I got a private prescription for IM progesterone. I did not bleed 7days after transfer but I still didn't get pregnant because it was FET and the embies didn't thaw well. But now I know that IM progesterone is the best option for me. Most doctors are careless and some are set in their ways.so its good to have a knowledge of the procedure. Forgive my rambling, having said all, we only plant, God gives the increase. |
@Blendy Amen. |
akintr1: Please does Dr Emeka work in Georges or he has his own clinic? He runs his own practice but located inside Georges Memorial hospital. |
akintr1: Hello everybody,My dear sister! Me and you are in the same boat.exactly the same diagnosis but we have been TTC for 11years. Presently, I am planning on starting a cycle with Dr. Emeka of Olivebranch (not St. Ives). Like him many fertility clinic in Nigeria offer SSR (surgical Sperm retrieval). I have read on hear about REGENESIS fertility clinic. I think there is a lady who is presently pregnant with triplet who had her treatment there, the reason I mentioned them is because they have a promo till March. Finally, I have come to realise that fertility treatment is basically in the hand of God. Every clinic seem to achieve a level of success. As a result of your financial constraint I would also suggest that you also check out LUTH's fertility center. Just pray and ask God to make your first attempt to be your final attempt irrespective of the clinic you use. In addition, I have sincerely heard of testimony where a sterile man went on to achieve pregnancy with his wife. In his case when he was diagnosed he rejected it and told his wife that they were not seeking any medical treatment but that they would trust God. It took them 7 years but God honoured his faith. But the good thing about our God is that HE meets us at our level of faith. Wishing us all the joy of the LORD. |
olivia3d: Hi Smiler, good to know there are ladies that have gone thru this. Its actually 7days past FET and I had 3 embryos. I had some cramps today off and on but have stopped. Is this normal? I have been TTC since 2009 and this past few weeks of injectibles has been soooooo crazy 4 me. I know God wont let me down but Im now a little nervous as my test date draws near.big hugzI know its not easy but I will advice you try to take it one day at a time. Try not to dwell on any sign for your own peace of mind. |
olivia3d: Hi everyone, so glad i found this. Is anyone in the IVF 2WW? Actually I am to so just needed to share some of my experience. Cheers@Olivia3d, I pray someone in 2WW comes along to share with you. However you are free to share most of us here have experienced it. Wishing you a very BFP. |
What's this auto correction of words here. What's fluid and erupt? And what is wrong with the biological word S -P- E- R- M. That it has to be subtitled with "fluid erupt" sad ![]() |
Faith2013: Hi everyoneWelcome on board Faith2013. For you to have male factor issues and still able to do IUI means you have plenty of hope. So please don't give up. Doctors say we have male factors issues, according to them no sperm is found in the ejaculate. I guess for you to do IUI you have sperms in the ejaculate. We have been trying for 11years now;4 ICSI and 2 FET, one preterm labour @ 24 weeks that resulted to the loss of our baby. For every treatment we have undergone we had surgical retrieval of sperm. You sound like you feel sorry for yourself my advise to you is STOP. There is light at the end of the tunnel.I haven't given up hope and I sure don't feel sorry for myself; you know why? God never fails and HE is not a liar! Cheer up my sister, take a break if you have to, but don't give up. My friend had male factor issues, she and her hubby started taking fertilty blend in preparation for ISCI, she was supposed to start DR on either day 1 or 2 of her cycle. So immediately her period started she started her injection however she noticed the period was not normal so did a test and discovered she was pregnant.so she had to stop DR. She has a lovely daughter. Check out this testimony too http://faithandfertility.com/2013/02/12/faq-i-know-what-gods-word-says-but-how-do-i-get-it-to-manifest/ Be encouraged. *big hug* |
larry2000: @Smiler. Thank you so much for your concern. My treatment is going on fine, I'm already on the second stage. God has been so faithfulThank God. |
