Assisted conception therapy (ACT) works. Evidence abound; my cousin's 2 children where through ICSI, Blendy's boys came through IVF, our newest triplets came through ICSI, I can go on and on.
So yes it works but the success rate is usually low because there are usually underlying issues that could hinder the success, if these are not looked into chances are slimer. There could be an underlying reason for low sperm count which could affect the viability of the embryo and hence hier implantation.

@Patajun speak to your doctor again and ask him about the state of your cervix I believe there is usually a corrective surgery for closed cervix.
For s.p.e.r.m pouring out after bd, I read on the TTC thread; its called "eda" and can be treated locally, they also said it could be caused be infection.

I forgot to tell you; I used your fresh pasta recipe but I used plaintain flour to make it, turned out nice however I couldn't make the lovely bows.

For the vegetable yam, I add tomato to mine but no crayfish or codfish I use smoked Mackeral instead and like you I can eat and eat lol maybe I would try adding ogiri to mine one of these days.

One of us mentioned recently that we have not being praying.

Why don't we set aside one day in the week as our day of prayer, those who can fast should and those who can't should just pray. We don't have to post our prayers here but we can post the scriptures we used here. This day will be our regular praying day. If anyone has any particular prayer request you can post it the day before.

What do you guys think and what day should it be?

@ Bloomingbuds your DH SA is not bad at all, the azoospermia is as a result of hormonal inbalance not testicular failure so there is mega HOPE. His FSH level can be raised by diet change or by the use of clomid (http://www.maledoc.com/blog/2010/04/28/how-clomid-works-in-men/).

So don't be heart broken, there is light at the end of this horrible tunnel. you are already on your way to getting out out with the supplements you are presently on.

@AngelicT I speak peace into your life. Fear opposes faith. Take your eyes of your ovaries and put it on the finished work God's grace bought for you. Stop expecting the cyst to increase instead start speaking to it to shrink. But remember that God is not stopped by anything, cyst or whatever. Please dearie keep your mind busy, look for something to keep you busy when your husband goes to work, if you are currently not working, look for somewhere close home to volunteer for some hours. Read books, learn new recipes. Don't give room for fear or unbelief.

@Faith, hmmmm thank God that you see your ex advances as what it is, temptation and distraction. However, you should speak to your husband that you can handle this, and there is no need for you to go off FB. Personally I don't consider an ex an enemy but it depends on how you feel, if you think it will constitute a problem in your home then you keep off the guy; send him a message tell him that you would rather you guys don't keep in touch, then decline to accept him as a friend, you can carry your husband along since you already got him involved. As for your hubby's condition, I had a friend who's husband had very low sperm count, poor morphology and poor motility, in preparation for ICSI they were on FERTILITY BLEND for three months, she was supposed to start start down regulation on the 2nd day of her period, her period came and she started her injections, however she noticed later that day the the period had disappeared, she complained to the doctor who urged her to continue with the injection however she decided to do HPT the next day before the injection and it was a BFP, her daughter is 3 years now. Nogen on the IVF thread also used FERTILAID after 3 failed ICSIs, her DH SA was very very poor too now she is pregnant natuarally. Try any of this products very easy to source in the US.

@ Beetle I believe the above post can help you too. The truth is implantation can be impaired when there are issues with the swimmers. Try fertility smoothies for your DH, see Dreams posts, her DH swimmers were poorly too but see God has restored her through healthy eating.

With wisdom comes definite solution, ask God for wisdom to tackle "this" issue.

Mr. Santa, your wife is blessed and I pray that God will reward you with your own children. My DH is diagnosed with unobstructive azoospermia. It was low count in 2002 and a urologist dxed varicocele and recommended surgery, which we did and story changed to azoospermia. We were able to retrieve S.p.e.r.m surgically in 2006 which we used for 4 ICSI and another one this year that we also used. The very first ICSI reulted in pregnancy but I lost the pregnancy at 24 weeks. We also had 2 medicated FET. So believe me when I say I know what you are going through, but like I would always say, nothing will steal my peace and joy from me" I don't know how God will do it but he will do it. His wisdom is available to us, and he will direct us.

I always preach peace and joy, we all have to get to the stage in our lives where the only words that should have any effect on/in our lives should be "GOD'S WORD" don't let anything affect or steal your peace. People will talk, people will say things without understanding the implication or effect it will have on the hearers and people would also say things spitefully, however to protect yourself learn to shrug the words of men off, especially when it has no positive impact. You don't also have to answer every word thrown at you, learn to smile and laugh.

You don't know me that much here, you don't know my story too, but one thing I want you all to know is that i'am one woman who has chosen to live above depression, confusion, despair, bitterness, self pity, anger and every other rubbish the devil had thrown at me., i completely CHOSE not to accept any of his baggage.

My prayer for each and everyone of you here is that you will see yourself victorious, and realize that a victorious person has no room for the devil's baggages mentioned above.

Live life to the full, and trust God, follow your dream don't end your life just because you are TTC. Don't talk divorce because of fertility issue, love conquers all. A home doesn't necessary need children to be a home, peace, joy, laughter and love makes a home.

Y'all have a blessed week, let go of anger, bitterness and strife, for some these might just be all you need to do to get pregnant.

Does anyone really know about varicocele? Hubby was recently diagnosed of it.

My sister please don't be in a hurry to do varicocele surgery please, my DH had low sperm count, we met a urologist who diagnosed varicocele and recommended surgery, we did it, he did SA like a month after, and our story changed to azoospermia.

Doctors are undecided on the effectiveness of the surgery as a way out. If you read any medical journal or blog, you will find out that doctors don't agree on its efficacy to settle the question of infertility.

Don't push surgery to your hubby please. Low S.p.e.r.m is better than azoospermia.

I have been a regular follower of this thread, I haved laughed when you laughed, praised when you did, I have been heart broken when tradegy struck, however I have never had an urge to post until this week when two ladies broke down in desperation, as usual I wanted to let it go, but I just couldn't hence this first time post

Please find a way to let light in no matter how tiny in this darkness called TTC. Depression is not a road to get into and it's also a very difficult road to get out of. It makes you see evil in everything, makes you live a " blame culture kind of life" if you are not careful it will rob you of your marriage if not your life. Don't always feel people are gossiping about you, it's only shallow people who do such, so it shouldn't bother you, instead feel sorry for them, they really need help.

My advice; trust God, be happy, make endearing memories with your spouse, enjoy your marriage, make every day/moment count, be loving to every one, leave a positive mark on everyone you meet, eat right, exercise, seek help that your spirit agrees with.

Don't hide in shame or reproach, because there is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of, attend functions, dress well, feel good about yourself and your spouse. Sometimes people keep away from sharing their conception news with people because they perceive the pain and sorrow they carry around. Stop exuding sorrow please, it could be worse.

Finally, no matter the problem, don't let it intimidate you, because

No matter what difficult situation you may be facing today, God can turn it around! The doctors may have told you there's no hope. Your bank account may be empty and the creditors knocking on the door. There may be trouble in your family or on your job. You may have a loved one headed for prison. Your problems may be stacked so high, you feel like you can never overcome them. But don't let the devil fool you. He has never devised a problem that faith in God can't fix! Nothing intimidates God. It's just as easy for God to heal cancer as it is for Him to heal a headache. It's as easy for Him to buy you a new home as it is for Him to pay your rent. Think about that! If you'll dare to believe God's Word, you can have light in the midst of a dark world. You can have protection in the midst of a dangerous world. You can live healed in the midst of a sick world. You can live prosperously in the midst of an impoverished world. You can live free in the midst of a captive world. But you can't do it by dragging around in an attitude of defeat. If you want to walk in constant victory, you must develop a spirit of faith and persevere when the devil is putting pressure on you. Faith believes God's Word just because God said it-whether natural circumstances seem to agree or not. That means if you want to maintain a spirit of faith in the area of healing, you must start by getting your Bible and finding out what God has said about healing. Then you must choose to receive that Word as the truth. Then say it! Say, "The Word says healing belongs to me and I believe it!" Keep putting the Word in your heart day after day until faith rises up within you and your body begins to line up with that Word. People with the spirit of faith always receive the blessings of God. They may go through tests and trials, but they come out victorious every time. I like those odds, don't you? I like to beat the devil every time. And, glory to God, we can do it if we'll walk continually in the spirit of faith. Keep faith stirred up. Get your expectancy up and out there ahead of where you are now. Dare to believe God. It won't shake Him up! Nothing intimidates Him!
