Ko jo o. Let's be careful with this NOC matter. It's good we want to help out but let's be careful when suggesting. 2263 does not look like a good fit IMO sha. It is aligning more with environmental and occupational health.

Hanty, I am not the ant biting you in your underwear. I said what I said. Toodles.
titiclassy:

The Ethiopian air vs Lufthansa part was a little humor thrown into the gist. It's not worth you having an headache over. And that was the only part you cld comment on. If you don't have encouraging words for a newly landed, at least u can keep 'shut'.

There are good people on this thread looking out for more important info such as landing proceedings, how to help people with settling, and then we have those on the other side... looking for faults in ur posts and how to prove they know better (in real life they are dealing with inferiority complex)

Abeg Hanty don't come and use me to score points. Leave my landing gist and move on. Pick any airline and enter. I am not advertising for any of them

Welcome to our Canada. May you find favour.

Sis, it seems you run into conclusions a lot sha. Lol. The same way you assumed that you were racially profiled is the same way you assume that folks here use Egypt Airline and Ethiopian Airlines because it's cheap. My dear, it is not necessarily the cost that determines the good patronage they are enjoying. I have flown with different airlines in my travelling life. I for one like Ethiopian Airlines because of their flight time and short layover. My MIL is supposed to be coming sometime in summer to help with my kids. When I tried booking her flight at the time, I surprisingly saw KLM at a cheaper price, but the longer layover discouraged me from booking. I went with Ethiopian Airlines instead cos of the short layover and based on advice from my neighbor in Nigeria who works as a travel agent. So you see, while it may be the cost (which isn't the case at all times anyway) that makes people use them, it might just be other things that attract people to them. Don't forget Ethiopian Airlines is actually one of the biggest airlines in the world today. People have given good reviews about them over time. So my sis, don't assume. Person use Nigerian Airways or Virgin Atlantic come Canada, na the same Canada we dey come. It doesn't have anything to do with anything. It doesn't determine your race here.

Jah bless.

Look at Mechanical Engineering Technicians under NOC 2232
efeklvn:
Hello friends. The following were my duties as Graduate Engineer. Are they okay for NOC 2132 (Mechanical Engineers)?

- inspect craftsmen and technicians during machine setup and installation

- Review and implement preventive maintenance schedules for vertical and carousel cutting machines

- ensure that outsourced maintenance contracts are executed within budget, and in compliance with company standards

- provide engineering support to maintenance team during preventive and breakdown maintenance

- troubleshoot and assess whether machine parts should be repaired or replaced.

- maintain a log of all preventive and breakdown maintenance and associated costs

- Conduct failure analysis to identify root cause of mechanical failures

Says who? Are you new here? So Newmum that was helping people with NOCs was a specialist in all fields abi? If you can't help with an answer, don't shush the poster up. You won't understand the issues people face with NOC until you are in their shoes. A lot of members here have gotten solutions to their NOC issues on this thread.

Hi guys,

Please help with my question.

My mum's TRV was approved, the purpose of travel at the time we applied was for her to accompany us to Canada to settle as new PRs. However, we are about to leave and she is unable to come with us any longer because she has to take care of my dad who is ill at the moment. I am expecting a baby sometime next year, can she use the same visa to come and babysit for me then? Hope she won't have issue at the border?
Thanks.

Guy, abi lady pick a hustle naa. Only you don't need the pension funds, only you still really needs it undecided It's nobody's fault if you are able to complete your POF abeg. Everyone is in one struggle for POF or something else. We don't all go burning other people's cables. So because your 25% can't get you 100% of your POF, you want to go and send mail to CIC. Like CIC doesn't already know what it is tenable in Nigeria. I am very sure that IRCC knows more about our extant laws than some of us here. You can do your investigations without projecting your frustrations on us here. Na only you get POF problem? What even stops you from using 100% of your POF and coming to give us news of your PPR. You abandoned Canada dream a while back and resumed and then expect everything to remain the way they were years ago.

Abeg chill, don't use your reggae to spoil people's blues jare. Use your 100% by yourself, for yourself and with yourself angry When you are sucessful, comman tell us. We will celebrate with you and maybe follow suit. Till then, allow us enjoy our 25% like that!

Canadatlast:

I couldn't have written this better.
NB: I can do without it but for crying out loud Nigeria is hard and not everyone is wealthy. I remember almost hugging the Boss at the Canadian Embassy when she said I could use it. It was like a lottery I won because I really needed it.
This wouldn't hurt me so much if I didn't confirm and if I didn't know of anyone who used it.
I'll do them an email today or tomorrow and take a screenshot of whatever response I get. I'll advice others who are free to visit their embassy and send emails(Please don't start stating % they should tell you that if necessary). If it's illegal to use the 100%, it's also illegal to use 25% because it's not available at time of application same reason we can't use equity on real estate.

Talk to your the person managing your account with them. You should be able to use 100% of your savings with them. But check what your contract with them says. Let the letter they give state that you can withdraw all you have less some deductions from the interest as usual.

I don't think they will get lost sha, but why did you send in your originals though? You could have sent only copies if you needed to. Or did they request you send in the originals? Keep sending them mails. Call if you can.

I had experience once with the UK Sheffield visa issuing office. Till date, they never returned some original docs I sent in with my visa application. Good luck.

Good day house,

Thank you all for the knowledge sharing; it would end in praise for everyone.

Please I ve an urgent enquiry.

After receiving my PPR mail, I sent my passport as well as original marriage cert, sworn affidavit and newspaper publication( my former passport used at the initial stage of the application carried my maiden name)

The passports( mine, spouse and child) was returned but the original docs were not returned.

I ve sent a mail to Accra office but no response yet.

please advise; how do I contact them? Are there chances of the docs being returned?

Thank you

Well Huncle, I never kicked against waka pass. I'd rather learn from others than give incorrect info. I don't have to start doing a screen shot of all the times I have answered questions here. My point is, if you want to be a waka pass, don't insult others who want to help!

You came on here with your "Or have I been advertising myself as a nice miss goody two shoes that will go the extra mile to help out?" Doesn't that sound insulting to you? Who were you referring to?

Anyway, collect clap Mr Elfmann Canadianfly.

Tojued:

Aunty. Someone did page zero, I appreciated it by assimilating the information there and asking only questions that need real life experience of people (exception of my NOC question which I just had to seek opinion of our in-house expert). Based on what I assimilated, I have been able to assist those in the same stage or behind me in the process.

I never criticised those who help, actually gave due accolades. Just said that it's not by force for me to be like them.

Let's come to you. You've NEVER answered any question on this thread. All you do is take, take, take and ask, ask, ask. When will you stop waka passing and start contributing so that others on this thread can benefit from you?

Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 4 by smileymum: 3:06pm On May 02, 2018
But you know that if people have been doing waka pass like you, no one will gain anything from this thread. I am sure you have benefited from the thread because people have chosen not to waka pass. The person or people you have chosen to berate as being nice miss goody too shoes are the ones that help keep the thread informative. You want us to clap for you that you are like Elfmann and Canadianfly? No need to criticize people who have chosen to help here because you want to appear 'mean and tough'. The person that made that page zero what it is and everyone is now "prouding" about did not waka pass! lipsrsealed

Tojued:

Why will I do that? Is nairaland paying my salary that wakapass is now a sin? Is there no post on how to search on page zero? Or have I been advertising myself as a nice miss goody two shoes that will go the extra mile to help out? Please please please I tend more towards the angle of CF and Elfman just that I keep quiet and waka pass or refer to page zero rather than give sarcastic responses.

I only respond to info I have at the tip of my fingers. Let the people who are nice continue their good deeds and continue to receive their accolades. I don't want.

Good morning guys. Please can someone be kind enough to help with an answer to the bolded? My friend did a pre-degree in sciences with OSU, I need to get a contact in OSU exams and records office to help in confirming if he can get a transcript and result to help in his WES evaluation. He wants to see if he can use it to add to his Bsc and claim points for 2 or more certificates. Thanks.
smileymum:
The program was for a year but I don't know if it can be called a diploma. He is not even sure it is. It was done before he gained admission into a full time course, even though he later switched to another discipline. Thanks mcstan18.

Please is there anyone with contact in OSU so that he can confirm directly if he can be issued a statement of result/to whom it may concern and transcript?
Thanks.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't what we call pre-degree a one year diploma? If it is (which I think it is anyway), then it qualifies one for the "two or more degrees or certificates..." thing when juxtaposed with your degree.

Good morning guys, I have a friend who is trying to maximize all chances of getting a good score for ITA. He has completed an MBA but getting the results approved by senate is proving to be difficult. He said he did a pre-degree course in sciences from OSU. Please does any one know if he can evaluate this in addition to his BSc. (from another university) to get points for 2 or more certificates? There is a huge difference in scores using only BSc and/or other qualification.

Hello happytbaby, can one send a CSE if one notices a slight error in the application without having a UCI? My friend hasn't passed medicals yet but he needs to correct a mistake he made while uploading his employment docs. Thanks.

If there are any grey areas that might need clarification, please raise CSE for a comprehensive LOE. Please remember to quote your UCI.

Would she have to add the old passports if travel history is on them too? And for someone who is submitting Travel History form upfront in the LOE section, should the person upload old passports there too?

Hi, I got a similar ADR. I suggest you fill travel history for both your spouse and you for the last 10 years. Try to cover even periods you did not travel using nil or n/a. Also attach passport data page and all stamped pages for both of you again.

All the best.
