@ Prettysheila, the soul, mind, spirit and body are different things. The soul is immortal and reincarnates until it attains perfection, But, the spirit is in everything, living and perhaps non-living too. Spirit is the life force of every consciousness in the universe, it connect body and soul and give it life when a man dies the soul is disconnected from the body. The soul remain in a state of consciousness or unconsciousness, when our body dies it is that the soul has been detached from the body. Body is destructible but soul is industructable. Thus Jesus Christ said don't fear those that can kill the body but can not kill the soul.

The soul belongs to God. There is constant battle between forces of good and evil for a man soul. In the new life to come dark soul will be separated from light soul thus darkness will be separated from light eternally.

Body is physical habitat for a soul. Demons and Angels are invisible because they don't have a physical body but they have invisible body. Demonic possession is when an invisible being try to become physical by driving out or surpress human soul in the body.

Spirit is just like a battery or electricity that power our lives booth visible and invisible being. Without sun there can be no phyaical universe thus without spirit a soul can not function physically but it can function in an invisible state

The soul is you your consciousness.

The body is what makes us visible,our container.

Note: some soul can be recycle from generation to generation in different bodies especially souls of kings,rulers and those whose physical existence were terminated untimely.

In chemistry all element are in three state

1. Gaseous ( invisible being)
2. Liquid ( Embryo, The dead)
3. Solid ( visible being)

Thus the cycle of life is journey from gaseous state(spirit realm) to liguid state(boundry between physical and spirutual realm) to solid state(physical universe) and back to liquid and to gaseous realm. The liquid state has two portals, to allow passage of invisible soul from gaseous states(spirit realm) to be born and become humman and also to allow passage of departing soul from being human into liquid state and become dead (unconscious or subconscious) note that some souls journey departing physical realm may be trapped in the liquid realm(the boundry between physical world and spirit world) and not able to further the journey back to gaseous realm ( spirit realm) This trapped soul cannot be reborn or reincarnate,they remain subconscious or unconcious in this state for a time appointed. While some souls after death from physical state passes through the portals of the dead in the liquid realm (the boundry),to become conscious and alive in gaseous form (spirit realm) these souls have chance to remain in the presence of the creator forever or passes thorough the portal of the living in the liquid realm( the boundary) and become humman again in the solid state ( physical realm) Many of the dead or departing soul from the physical realm who are entrapped in the liquid realm are not conscious just like souls coming from the spirit realm or gaseous state to be born, when passing throut portal of the living in liquid state ( boundry realm) in the womb are alive but when born have no consciousness of what took place in the womb.

The three state are interlinked and every consciousness are constantly recycled around the three states. While some consciousness or beings are customised to remain in a particular states forever e.g. angels and demons are in gaseous state. Human lives is a constants recycling or journey around the three states until the appointed time according to prophecy that issue of death which we are not originally programmed for Will be solved. Humman being are originally meant to remain in physical state eternally a study of human DNA perterns reveal this but death remain a mystery which will be solved in time. It is written darkness can not conquer light.
