Car Talk › Re: Toyota Camry 2007 Fan Belt by smsglory(op): 12:02am On Jun 01, 2018 |
jodecibmw: I've noticed a similar scenario in another vehicle, the mecho and owner thought it was a particular pulley that was the culprit and in the process changed the belt up to four times before one dude suggested he buys a "Belgium" belt, (that is foreign used one, if he couldn't get the OEM required one, as most of the new belts in the market are "Taiwan" low quality belts, if you get my drift). Guess what? The belt snapping stopped and owner has been driving the said car for more than two months now.
So maybe, just maybe, and I'm not saying inferior belt is the culprit but, try to get a "Belgium" belt fitted and observe to confirm before messing with the pulleys. Ok, there you have it. Thank I would, once i find myself around ladipo |

nurey: if you observe the belts very well, you will see a pattern which will point out the offending pulley, changing that pulley and replacing with OEM belt will stop the snapping.
Also there is nothing like cutted sir, cut is cut past or present, also belts don't cut sir, they snap. Thanks bro...I actually used the words of the Mech...if u noticed,I used snapped in my first paragraph....thanks for the heads up |

smsglory: Hello Guys,
It's started last month, was driving home and I put on my AC,next I noticed the car system changed only for me to discover that the fan belt snapped off....and this has become a recurring Decima on the car. Changed it again for the 3rd time 3 days ago, on my way back from church it cutted again...
My road side Mech is saying that the roller is weak, that's why my belt is cutting, cause trust me,I have gotten all kind of belt this period.
Please what is the solution?

Car Talk › Re: Check Your Cooling Systems After Acquiring That Tokunbo Vehicle by smsglory(m): 9:13am On Jun 09, 2017 |
Mrdigitech: Hello guys, I got a Toyota Camry recently and previous owner removed the thermostat because he was told it wasn't meant for Nigerian weather. The Vehicle was guzzling so much fuel like crazy. At first, I coped for the first few weeks. Latter, I started feeling the financial impact the vehicle's excessive fuel consumption had on my pocket. I decided to research online where I saw some threads about thermostat removal and its relation to fuel consumption. I decided go with the recommended guys ( not Kazeems ) on this forum. One said that he can replace the thermostat but I needed to verify from the previous owner if the Vehicle had overheating problems in the past. I did and the previous owner told me no. I didn't believe him though, but I decided to research a little more about a car's overheating problems till I came across Honmusa's tread. I decided to contact him and he explained what needed to be done. I discovered that he uses a cooling system test kit which presurizes the cooling system to expose leaks. So he was the right choice for me. He presurized my cooling system and a exposed a hidden leak on the pipes (thank God it wasn't Radiator) I sighed. We fixed it and pressurised it with his kit and it was peefect. However, a Kazeem (Toyeeb actually) worked on my alternator earlier in the day and didn't fix the wires properly. This disconnected my instrument cluster and power windows. All the guages were dead. I was wondering how I would be able to drive home without seeing the cluster guages. How do I know the car's temperature was rising beyond the accepted level? But Honmusa assured me that no overheating situation would occur. I took his word and entered heavy traffic. No overheating and I switched on my AC non stop and it didn't cause any problem. I drove 30km home and back to his workshop without issues. Guys! Honmusa is the REAL DEAL when it comes to vehicles. He has tools and kits for almost everything. The Kazeem (who worked on my alternator in the morning) I took to see Her Honmusa was just surprised. He cleaned up his mess and I went home happy. The Kazeem I took was very ignorant and boastful that he doesn't need to scan anything. That he has lots of experiences. That good guys don't need to scan anything them will just see the vehicle abd know. I looked at him and saved my breath. Guys, take your lovely ride to Honmusa and stay a 1000 miles away from Kazeems, Toyeebs, alfas and Kazeem's distant relatives, they'll wreck you... Yea...he (HonMusa)is very good with cooling system and other stuff about emissions. He was the one the fixed up my 2006 Sienna overheating issues, within 10mins we discovered where there was a leakage in the pipes, whereas I has taken the same car to a dude who is always on the radio taking about fixing cars issues.... Thumbs up bro |

obekediamondfuto: how light are u on the throttle? get the car scanned, I'm sure u meant 81km to n fro not 81 miles tho cos I had to check weda ajah to ladipo is 81miles. were u overtaking all the cars? and sharp accelerations also use excessive fuel. get the vehicle scanned to be sure ur check engine light hasn't been artificially turned off. there is an alternative way to check if ur cel is ok, but that would require technical knowledge. how good r u with technical stuff? it's not normal, I r getting like 10mpg average as against 17-19mpg depending on ur v6 version Bro, please note 81km I mentioned is going from Ajah to Ladipo and coming back to Ajah... I noticed I used 20 litres of fuel for a 81km journey ,despite usual and crazy traffic from Ajah to Ladipo and back to Ajah using AC.
Is my vehicle consuming fuel.

ekpotek: In order for your next application to be sucesssful, you must do the following:
Determine your monthly salary and start paying yourself this salary be transfering funds from company account to your personal account monthly. Build this up for the next six-eight months to clean the bank statements for your company and personal accounting processes. This way the issue raised by ECO will be addressed. The ECO is concerned about you sources of your salary which you stated to N300,000 monthly not reflected in your personal bank account or debited from your company bank account. Another way is that you can decide to fund your visit using company funds. Then you will need to provide documents to show the ECO the benefit of the conference to your business. Also provide documents to support any large deposit into you company account from your clients. Thanks noted all your points. What to know, can one apply with a low balance, but the transactions in the statement shows alot of inflow and outflow flow of cash. I have heard of 2 different guys who got a visa even with very low balance |

ekpotek: Your case is not unique and it's important that other applicants learned from whatever advice that is provided here, so sharing it here help other applicants that may be in your same situation. The best way forward in your next application is to address the issues raised by the ECO in your last refusal. For me to help, you can post/share the refusal letter here and block out any identifier information. Or you can just type out the most pertinent reasons for your last refusal for us to help out.

ekpotek: Okay do you have the conference invitation? Is your business registered? Do you pay tax? These are important questions as the ECO will need to be convinced that the conference will benefit your business. As per your bank statement, you need to include a cover letter to the ECO explaining how you pay your self salary and why it's not reflected in your bank statement. Yes I have an invitation for the conference Business is registered And yea I pay Tax, with a tax payer ID card . Please can you send me a mail,so I can have your email and mobile nos. todhost: I will agree with you that any response time greater than 3 hours is high. However, there are times web hosting companies have issues and a whole lot of tickets are generated by customers, in such unusual circumstance, response time to tickets are actually prolonged. I have had over 24hrs wait with one of the top 10 big web hosts in the U.S market.
Not trying to defend Whogohost anyway but the fact that I understand the industry and its workings better.
Vera BI Customer support staff https://todhost.com 3 hours for a foreign host company,so so strange. I have an unlimted Windows hosting plan with Mochahost, the longest time i can remember those guys used in solving a problem is 1 hours. They are spot on to solving issue, they even have a technical team you can chat is online,if those one can do it, immediately they open a 2level ticket with high priority on your behalf. Nigerian hosting will be like you should open a ticket yourself etc. And if you say alot of folks had sent them ticket, that is why they take time to reply...It surely means they are having issues. My BulkSms site was off for the entirety of yesterday,a top client said they would arrest me if they were not able to send their SMS....All whogohost staff were saying is they are working on it,for more than 20 hours for a simple issue. I will keep on saying it,till the right thing is done |
Webmasters › Re: Whogohost Is Rubbish by smsglory(op): 4:44pm On Jan 01, 2017 |
todhost: I quite understand the delay in responding to the ticket sent to whogohost in this instance. This issue is clearly not a hosting issue and so the priority is low. You ran an upgrade, if you have properly setup your phone well, you should not have issues. Besides, they are not there with you to see what you have described. Talk to them about the specific error you have received and they can find a way to help. Web hosting companies will usually not take responsibility for third party applications. My point here is,real time response to ticket, yesterday it took them 12 hours to reply, them another 8 to fix it. Is this normal? |

Some companies here in Nigeria start off well, but when they start to make few cash they forgot that the company is actually meant to out live them, like what foreign owned company do.
One of such is whogohost, they have been very frustrating these days, sometimes your site would be having connectivity issues.
The most recent is I upgraded my phone version and thus my site went blank giving MySQL errors ,I have sent a ticket for more than 12 hours not responds at all.
Is that not ridiculous, how on earth will I renew the domain once it expires with such services, whilst is you use a foreign owned hosting company,it takes them maximum of 30 minutes to fix the issue
Whogohost Na bad market |
