We often hear gist about side chicks and friend with benefits but less about side guys which is the opposite of being a side chick. Not so much experience we from people we hear about this scenario but as so much as we have large numbers of side chicks so their exist large number of side guys.

I used to have a relationship way back in the days, i was just coming out of a serious heartbreak, i needed a companion to comfort me so badly that i was ready to jump into any available relationship. I had a friend which was just normal "Hi" kind of friendship that I later got interested in and ask out. She told me she was in a relationship but normal guys parole nah, i told her I was going to do everything possible to take her from her guy if she gives me a chance, in no time our relationship kick off.

Long story short, i was aware she had a guy in her life and decided to stay and be the side guy. She claimed she had her reasons going into a relationship with me but at the same time finding it so hard doing away with the main guy. Imagine a scenario your babe telling you "babe, I'm with my boyfriend" or "I'm going to my boyfriend's place" without you raising an eyebrow or not able to do anything. You just have to accept the fact you are the side guy. Believe me, nothing pains a guy more with the full knowledge that his babe is somewhere at a particular moment getting straffed. How the relationship ended is another story as it end up in tears in the long run, i find the courage to move on later in the relationship as I can't continue playing a second fiddle in a relationship I'm committed into.

To the best of my knowledge, civil servant (University lecturers) are on salary scale (CONUASS), give us this pay structure with breakdown. This will allow us know if they are short paid or not.

I have seen payslip of other civil servant under IPPIS in some ministries and agencies with salaries up to a million and million plus which this salary is based on pay grade. So, I believe this shouldn't be different for lecturers too as you are to earn according to your grade.

Bro, I'm sure some people making comments have either not worked b4 or have not come of working age. Most organisations (public or private) that are productivity-driven sometimes work even on Christmas days and any other public holidays. I travelled by air on Christmas day and u know what that means, the aircrew members were onboard. Call customer care of most organisations on public holidays, go to hospitals etc. The services may be skeletal but the services are still rendered by humans. Are they saying those working on those days aren't human beings? Mtchewww.

I didn't want to delve into the aspect you mentioned above so much, more reason why i give a general overview of working conditions (With signed Offer letter or Not) of organizations which is always embedded in employee offer letter.

Do they even know that some bankers goes to work on public holidays be it christmas or sallahs? Same goes to other sector of the economy. Even some civil servants that work in specific parastatals do go to work too depending on their job schedule and requirement of their work

The truth is that, the company is not a public organization. Policy of organizations varies and people that have received offer letters from various private organization will attest to the fact that even if your offer letter stated that you are to work from monday to friday aside public holidays, there is a clause which is always embedded in majority of organizations offer letter that "employee can be ask to work on long hours or their job schedule can change depending on nature and requirement of the job at particular point in time"

The clause above alone gives the organization power to ask employee to come to work as at when they deem fit because if it eventually lead to court case, the argument will be that the requirement of the job warrant you coming to work during public holiday.

Dear friends, my eyes has seen many rubbish working with Indians, they maltreat we blacks as if the country belong to them. yesterday they sacked a co-worker for not coming to work on "January 2nd" public holiday, which was posted by the hr manager on the notice board. after he reported the issue to the hr manager that the head of the department "Nigerian" said they have sack him, the hr manager said there's nothing he can do. the so called "union" and the black management staff cant even say anything because the level of high service is 1000% they are always afraid of confronting this Indians, then i use to hear of people talking about modern slavery now i also have experienced it. one day very soon they will started putting chains in our hands and legs. i guess the hr manager is suppose to handle issues like this or am i wrong ?

Remember the money was mostly in 1000 Naira notes,plus they used counting machines.The number of people involved in the counting and machines used wasn't stated but it's obvious this guy is lying about the amount of time if took them to count the cash!

PS- I'm not defending anyone,just been logical!

I am not in doubt that it might take them 10 days to count that money, being logical lemme explain how it works for you.....

1. The bank staff that counted the money are not special people that were recruited to count Agbele's money.
2. They are the same staff that still have their normal daily work routine which they are to attend to.
3. Ado Ekiti is not really a commercial hub like Lagos, Abuja, Portharcout, Warri that will have large number of staff.
4. I doubt if they will even have a bulk room, even if they have they might not have more than 2 staff and three front tellers that will be attending to customers.
5. Assuming that the bulk room was cancelled for the time being just to count that money, i did not see a situation where the bank will draft staff from other branch to the Ado ekiti branch just to count money (That is even if there is another branch of Zenith Bank in Ekiti) not to talk of sending in staff from other locations to Ado Ekiti just to count Agbele's Money.
6. The same counting machines they will use to count the N1.2billion naira is the same they have been using to attend to customer. So i dont see a situation where they will have to buy other counting machines or request for other ones just because of Agbele's money which is just a one off transaction (Who bear the expenses for that?)
7. So, i don't foresee a situation where they will ground all other activities of the branch nor ask all staff to join hands all because they want to count Agbele's money
8. Counting of Money is not that easy per say, anyone that has been in a bulk room will attest to it. You unwrap the money, count using the machine and in case the machine did not count correctly, you need to confirm by counting with your hand after which you wrap again and append your signature. The essence of putting your signature is for confirmation that you counted the money correctly and if anything happened to it you will be held responsible if another person want to confirm the money.
9. If they did not take their time to count, how will they find out that N80million naira is missing out of the money because there was a report that the money was short of N80million after counting which caused argument between Obanikoro and Fayose.

I doubt if more than 3 people counted the money. I also doubt if it is not the same cash centre that service Akure also service Ekiti. Even to count N50million naira will take you hours in a location like Ekiti which does not have a big branch like major city centers we have in the country.
