Why do some people like to discourage people? Is there any harm in sending CV's? Even if it's GNLD, will they force you to sell their products or will they force you to pay any money? Nobody is a kid here......everybody knows that when an employer or recruiter asks for money, then you know it's fake!

To me o, I think it's not a crime to send your CV and nobody will scam you or do juju for you if you send your CV. You just have to be smart.......ask questions before going to a place you don't know. Be sure that people have been going there for interview. Ask questions on Nairaland if you get any SMS or mail for test or interview. You will sha see somebody on Nairaland that knows about the company, employer or recruiter!!

Dude, wise up.... Ur Cv contains ur personal information. These people even go as far as contacting ur referees if u include their contact details . Some even try to scam them. So, u gotta always be on guard and watch how and where u send ur CV to.

Yea you're right and i really appreciate your opine,even took a cue from what debbie also said yesterday abt the links etc. Am still a learner thou so with time would be used to the policies. Initially why i was posting links was because most companies esp multinationals dont ask for Cv's to mails,you have to apply via their company career website,so that's why i post their direct links so you see for yourself and apply if you want to unlike those funny ones on NL who would post a vacancy and would still direct with with a link to their blogs before you can now get a direct link to apply and that one sef na under maybe if you wont be directed to a jobsite where they get the original vacancy to post.
Now that you have also brought my notice to this, I would definitely abide by the rules . So grateful.

Honestly, I see nothing wrong in posting a link that leads to a company's website. There's nothing as genuine as applying from a company's career website. Although, sometimes website will request that you sign up on their website before you can apply. That doesn't mean it's fake. So please continue to post the links as long as it's genuine. Well-done

He's a fraud. They get information from ur cv, call u and claim yu have been childhood friends from d address on ur cv claiming he was ur neighbor when he was still staying at d address on ur cv. Calls himself engnr Joseph. He starts talking about his place of work (you won't ask him that question), later on he den ask about ur work. And he later on says that he will introduce someone to you bla bla bla.
