thehomer:See my friend, i am against homosexuality for personal and religious person. However if you have read my posts so far, i cannot and do not intend to stop you from chosing your sexual preference or practising it. Provided you are not breeching the law of the country you are it, "gay on". The problem is you guys are too sensitive. People may find it repugnant but no one is persecuting you. Its a free world, at least in the west. You can chose to become a woman and cut off you joysticks, cross-dress or even sleep with animals. Its the 21st century. Something else people might find offensive is when you try and stop christains from expressing their faith no matter how antiquated you think it is. |
BlakkBoi: Deep Soul:So why did you guys date him/her? |
David /vs/ Goliath |
Typical problem with Nigeria. They have lost all respect for the police and rule of law. So will the masquerade be put in jail? Reminds me of the joke where a masquerade was arrested and so went on hunger strike. After 3 days he started crying, "juju dey hungry" lol |

TitanMoon:Calm down. Always read your post before clicking on send to see if you are making sense. You have delved off topic again. I know its late into the night but its not friday yet, so no excuse for being tipsy. You insult the intelligence of the Brits by claiming to know why they vote for who and whom not. The world is not as black and white as you think. Read my posts again. Immigration is a major issue to everyone. But the way of tackling it is what divides opinion. The tories are not the only party that pledged to address uncontrolled immigration. They all did, even the BNP ![]() The tories gained the most seats but did not get enough to earn a majority. Simple. That means they did not receive the mandate of the people to govern themselves. I repeat again. It has been agredd that there will be a cap. No one is disputing that. Even the UKBA has updated its website as someone rightly pointed out above. We have moed past that guy. The tories have so far refused to tell anyone the exact numbers. That is the bottom line. |
Utali:Yes o. I am still proud to be a Nigerian. I am sure a Brit or American will take a similar reference to their nationality as a compliment. So the jokes on you mate. ![]() |
It seems bawomolo and thehomer are out to attack the catholic church and its leader the pope. You have also stood staunchly defending homosexualism. While i cannot judge or condemn you for your opinions you should realize that thse practises are frowned upon in our culture and considered abominable. Infact homosexualism is illegal in Nigeria and most other African countries. I know some persons have been brainwashed by western culture, but you need a cerebral reevaluation on your stance on such issues. The fact that polygamy is practiced mostly in Africa has not led to the west embracing this practice with open hands. Are you both aware that until some years ago homosexualism was considered A DEVIANT SEXUAL PRACTICE AND CLASSIFIED A MENTAL ILLNESS. The gay right groups and liberals actively campaigned for a change in nomeclature. Homosexualism is a choice. Nobody was born to be one. It is not genetic as people have tried but failed to prove. It is immoral not only by biblical standards but societal standards. Depends on which side of the fence you sit on. You guys can continue practicing your gayness, provided you dont rub our noses in it and try to force the rest of the sane society to indulge in or embrace your practice. We have a right to preserve the human culture. |
Abortion is morally wrong. It is non-biblical. It is criminal in some countries as well. If gays are so keen on children, i wonder why they became gays to start with. I disagree with gay adoption of insemination or whatever. Children are best broguht up in a natural environment where they are raised by different sex married couples. All the research confirms this. Childrens from homes where their parents are not different sex married couples have a higher proportion of vice and difficulty in later life. So the pope may be correct afterall irrespective of the angle you have the debate. |
Unfortunately some persons here seem to suffer from dyslexia. Funny you quoted my post then went on to rant about completely different issue. I said the majority of British people voted against the tories, hence they rejected the tories manifesto on immigration. Of course even those that voted for labour and the lib derms will be to a large extent against non-eu immigration. So do not confuse your self. I dont care if they shut their doors to any flipping non-eu or eu people for that matter. I am secured in this country and have an eu passport. However as we have this discussion, my aim is to correct any misinformation about their immigration policy. |
bawomolo:From a non-biblical interpretation John marrying steve is a threat to the world. John and steve cannot bear children. If every john marries steve and every Mary gets wed to a Sue, then the world as we know it will become devoid of humans in a generation. |
bawomolo:So murdering innnocent unborn children is a way to control the worlds population. Why dont you start eliminating people as the Nazis did? |
There are a thousand things in the bible that does not conform with a secular world. Christains believe in it, they take it as Gods word without question. Such as the world was created in 7 days, The messiah is coming again, etc etc. You dont necessarily have to agree with them. Similarly, they belive homosexuality and abortion are WRONG and SINFUL. Sorry if it upset your sensibility, but they are only exercising their faith. |
browncocos:Then why did you break up? |
You have 100% right to disregard his views. Christainity does not enforce its belief but does this by coercion and perseverance. I dont think the pope is interested in winning a popularity contest. The current media onslaught against him will not negate his sworn duty to defend the catholic faith. The media see him as their whipping boy. They are quick to pick on any preaching on homosexualism and abortion. I am sure during his sermon he must have talked on 100s of other issues but surprise surprise they are mostly ignored. |
Hi Odunnu. Nice to hear from you. How are you doing. I thought you have been very busy with work and studies. I havent been to scrabble thread for sometime. How life. Hope you are coping ok. |

He has the RIGHT to have a religious belief, to maintain that belief and to express it. It is his fundermental right as enshrined in the human rights act and the european convention on human right. And as the head of his faith it is doubly important that he defends its doctrine. Just like gay rights group may call christains and musliims threats to our civilization, what goes around comes around. Abortion is murder plain and simple. Homosexualism is not biblical period. The church is not governed by human laws. |
You again with you belize visa wahala. |

No problem at all my friend. Suck on. |
No i havent. Can you explain what it means ![]() |
I thought i saw a similar post in another section. You are really desperate. |
Unknown idea promising heaven and earth. Hmmm, I smell a fish. |
Are you ok at all. The pope is not a fanatic like someone on this thread. |
An hour is a long time in politics. Things change, opinions change. Never trust politicians. The Tories said during their campaign that they will not increase VAT, but now we are hearing it is going up to 20% in thei emergency budget in 6 weeks time. The lib derms. are a liberal party and hold such views when it comes to immigration. They did drop their plans for an amnesty for illegal immigrants and will allow the tories cap, but when it comes to the nitty gritty i believe thats when the disagreements will emerge. Dont forget that despite the fact that the tories won the combined labour and lib derm vote is more than the tories, which means most people in the country are against the tories view on immigration. |
How do you know there wont be? The governmentrt may not be oblinged to but you cannot categorically rule any out. Like i said earlier, people are ready to challenge a cap in the law courts. If a cap is introduced, what will the number be? How will they set this number for each country? Will it affect all visa category right from holiday makers, to members of armed forces to spouses of eu citizens. These issues are not as straight forward as many here seem to believe. |
I believe there would at least need to be a public enquiry and proper consultation before this cap is introduced. Remember the HSMP debacle and the legal challenges that followed. The home office were forced into an embarassing retreat. I am sure they would not want to be faced with similar again. It will happen or something similar, what form it will take we cant say for sure. Cap on immigration was one of the cornerstone of their campaign. They must be seen to have done something, especially against the fact that there may be an election in the coming year. |
mama-gee:Nonsense. Another of your one liners to get more posts. |
