This brings back memories of what happened some years ago when Barca lost 3-1 to chelsea at stamford bridge. They flogged chelsea in the return leg. I believe Babayaro got sent off in that match. Who says lightening does not strike in the same place twice? |

Bride |
As far as i know the culture of child bride is the norm in some section of the north. They fail to see anything wrong with it. Fortunately/unfortunately it has taken Senator Sanis' shameful [interenational] wedding to bring this practice under the media microscope. In a normal society he would not only be sacked as a senator but would be languishing in jail as we speak for child abuse. |

frosbel:I wouldnt go down that path. We know how attacks on Mohammed evokes strong reaction here. Senator Sani is a disgrace. The Nigerian parliament is an even bigger disgrace. How can they allow a paedophile continue as a senator of the federal republic of Nigeria ![]() |

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/8649035.stm Women's groups in Nigeria are threatening to take legal action against a senator, following reports he married a 13-year-old Egyptian girl. Ahmad Sani Yerima, 49, is reported to have married her at the national mosque in Abuja several weeks ago. Female senators have promised to table for debate a petition from the groups calling for Mr Sani to be reprimanded. Meanwhile, Nigeria's human rights commission has begun an investigation into whether the marriage is legal. The BBC's Caroline Duffield in Lagos says Mr Sani is refusing to speak publicly about the matter. He was the governor of Zamfara state and oversaw the introduction of Sharia law - the first state in the north to do so in 1999. The petition, handed over to a group of female senators on Tuesday, wants the identity of the child, her age, the circumstances of her entry into Nigeria and the dowry paid to her family to be investigated. The women's rights groups believe Mr Sani has broken the law, pointing to the Child Rights Act of 2003. "When you marry them out at this early stage, is it because it is viewed as a commodity that can be easily disposed of and a new one acquired," Nigeria's Punch newspaper quotes Mma Wokocha, the leader of the coalition protesting about the marriage. Newspaper reports have also accused him of having previously married a 15-year-old girl in 2006. A spokesman for Nigeria's senate has insisted that the chamber does not comment of the personal affairs of individual members. |
Illusions. Make we dey deceive ourselves now. |
useless, nonsense, rubbish and utterly irrelevant and misleading thread. |

Kobojunkie:Correct. Right option. |
illusion2:Well i am not sure about that. I have heard several times when hes talked about his catholic upbringing. Point is he is the only one of the big 3 candidates that apparently believes in God. I stand to be corrected. |
@ thameamead I just had a quick look at her personal website http://kemi.adegoke.com/. She gave no personal stance on immigration. But she directs people to the conservative manifesto which by default would reflect her opinion on immigration. |
THE Niger State government has said it will partner with the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) office in the state to purchase 50 metro ambulances at the cost of N3.5 billion. Governor Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu announced this in Minna, on Monday, adding that the ambulances would be distributed to each of the 25 local government area of the state to assist accident victims and other patients in distress. The governor, speaking at the inauguration of the first five of the ambulances, said the government was concerned about the number of lives being lost daily to accidents on the roads, adding that if the facility was available, some lives could be saved. Governor Aliyu said the government planned to have, at least, two ambulances in each of the 25 councils in the state, as part of strategy to ensure health care delivery in the state was made efficient and effective. Earlier, the Director-General of the state MDGs office, Alhaji Hassan Nuhu, had assured that the second batch of 10 ambulances would be delivered in the state soon. Nuhu also used the occasion to announce his intention to contest the next election into the House of Representatives. http://www.tribune.com.ng/index.php/news/4551-niger-to-purchase-ambulances-for-n35bn |
If a striker with 6 goals in 15 matches is the best the Bundesliga can offer then it must be a dead league. Imagine forwards in Spain, England and Italy averaging almost one goal in one match. Obagols ratio is like one goal in 2.5 matches. Appaling for a so-called most efficient striker if you ask me. |
