He abused his position of trust. He was supposed to be a pastor, someone with some moral standing, who people look up to to strenghten their faith. Thats what makes this case quite seroius. The age of consent for their victims is lowered from the normal one of 18yrs to 16yrs for this very reason.

Why do you think there is so much scrutiny of teachers, doctors and catholic priest when it comes to immoral relationship with those under their care.

Firstly, sexual offence cover all LISTEN sexual offences, not only homosexual rape. Hope that is self explanatory eh. What makes such act really gruesome is not only the sexual nature but the violence covert or overt that is associated with it. That should tell you that all such crimes as far as i am concerned should attract fierce penalty. FULL STOP.

Secondly get it into your thick cerebrum that i never said homosexuals should be hung, what they do in their private lives is a matter between themselves and their God and conscience. However i stated and i will say again that it goes against the African culture, plain and simple. And yes, even if you were trying desperately to be ridiculous by spewing rhetoric of Africa being a country, we as Africans especially subsaharan black Africa all have a unique cultural identity just like you would agree with me the Europeans, Latin Americans etc does.

We have to fight to defend that culture, so that we can pass it unadulterated to out children and generations yet unborn. I dont advocate jungle justice. We live in a civilized society by African standards and as such follow the laws of the land.
That said allowing all criminals to go scot free to repent of their sins may be the norm in Vatican city, but we all know that as we are in Nigeria that is unimaginable and would be an outrage.

Punishment must be the reward of crime and it must be compatible with the gravity of the offence. Otherwise what we will have is anarchy.

Sexual offences rank amongst some of the most heinous crimes on the land. It is an offence against God, man and morality. Sexual predators have some of the highest rate of repetition. They should be shown no mercy and must be punished to the very last letter of the law.
Homosexuality remain unafrican, immoral and a sin. It should be discouraged and frowned upon.
I stand by my statement. What he had done should attract the death penalty, by what means i dont care.
