mrrandomguy: Macaroni is correct. There are no holds barred when it comes to opposition politics. What worries me more is that our beloved forum, Nairaland has become something else. See what I posted that they removed. Check out https://tellit.io/ it is new and growing and has some amazing features. Sign up and see for yourself |

masterP042: I've been in this nairaland for many years, Within the last few years, I've noticed that nairaland has seriously been compromised. I think they've been bought by the government. Make any post about self determination and you'll be banned for months, a moderator here is openly partisan and compromised, yet the owner of this forum allows it. This is not the nairaland I used to know. I think this is why anything Nigeria finds it hard to be great, because before it gets to a high level they compromise it with their partiality and evil. Nairaland is dead and buried. There's an alternative with more quality contents, found it recently. Check www.tellit.io |

Babapyro: I even think he has banned the user sef cos I didn't see his post again and probably all the people that complained about bullying and rape jokes on the thread,I was just astonished when he deleted the thread totally, wtf does he think he is,you give people small power and they start to behave like God,the members are practically everything to this forum and you're telling them they don't have the right to ask questions or ask you to improve some certain things,he was telling the girl or lady that it doesn't require any intelligence to complain. He is an horrible person,he can ban me for eternity I don't give a flying fvck but I'll say my piece Guys check www.tellit.io it's better and has a more improved interface than nairaland. It is owned by a Nigerian as well. |

I am also interested in taking this route all though the flight expenses are quite high. I have a question please:
My Netherlands visa is ready for pick up at the Netherlands embassy in Cotonou, going through their website, I read that I don't need an appointment to pick it up, I'm concerned about going there and being asked why I made no appointment. Has anyone been in a similar situation before, did you make any appointment to pick up your visa?
Thanks in anticipation. |

16yearsold: Sorry for posting this here but nairaland education section doesn't respond
since there's no robotic engineering in Nigeria, after conducting my research I finally discovered that the closest course to robotic engineering is mecatronics and I decided to take the course which is mecatronics but what's your advice? Please is the course good and what's the best university to study it. 1. It is spelt as Mechatronics Engineering 2. Robotics in itself is a subset of mechatronics. All robotic systems are mechatronics systems, all mechatronics systems are not robotics systems. 3. Mechatronics Engineering is still futuristic in Nigeria, however, it depends on your after study plans, but I would honestly recommend it in light of the digital age and coming economic shifts in Africa. If you want to be a margin of safety to it seeing through the lenses of present-day Nigeria, then I would recommend you give mechanical, electrical or telecommunications engineering a shot, then follow with an MSc in Mechatronics. 4. Follow your dreams and here is what I mean...sift through all the advice and make your decision based on logic and your passion. 5. I would strongly recommend you give FUTMinna a good shot for this course, you will not regret it, it is one of the best out there, otherwise consider ABUAD and if you have the resources Covenant will be fantastic. 6. I hope this helps...good luck with your future endeavours. |

Vote of thanks to everyone who has kept this thread lively, I visit this page more than 3 times daily to check for updates, atleast to look for something to hold unto why PTDF stretches our patience. In the end my wish for us is whether the final list comes through merit, quota system, favour and whatever 'isms' our names should be there. |

tensazangetsu20: Harvard will take the second. I attended a harvard business school seminar in Accra and I asked the admissions officer the lowest GPA they admitted in the previous year. He told me they had someone with a 1.8 but this person founded a company worth 10 million dollars straight out of college. Do you know the number of perfect GPAs and perfect GMATs rejected from HBS yearly. Op go and do stuff and wow the admissions committee with your accomplishments. Wow 1.8 this is interesting and encouraging. "yes I hear" |
