i believe if we all stick together and ignore every advert he brings , fingerlings sales , seminar etc. he can not trade on this forum and make money from people here and when its time for him to answer to us about a problem he ignors everybody. i believe nobody is too big and nobody is an island of knowledge.lets all ignore doing any form of business with him till he apologies or give a good explanation to the problem at hand ... what goes around must come around ,i know one day he will need a help from anyone here .GOD go catch am !!!

stocking runts is a very big mistake anyhow u look at it , u will loose , i advise that if u have were , u buy ur fingerlings or juvenile, always go there in advance to see the fishes when thy are fries. It doesent matter if u go to ur seller and see the fries sevral times before they become fingerllings or juvenile , u can even pay part payment so the hatchry can consider urs first, that way u get to get first shooters or second shooters and also u will have knowledge of the fishes if they are sick or fish thats doing well... and for those who already got runts i made this same mistake of stocking runts last year believe me its a bad story .but i actually made little profit . so for those who had runts now what i advice . mix any good fish growth powder booster with there food , when u buy lets say coopens 15kg a bag mix about 3 sarchet of any good fish booster in the feed, this means for 5kg feed, u add 1 sachet that sells for 300 naira and also when u change there water as in concrate , tarpaulin or plastic ponds ,buy also the liquid fish booster and mix with there water when changing the water . actualy runts are fish that lacks the esential vitamins,minerals and hormones that make them grow like the shooters or we say normal fish . so they need this boosters to replace the lost minerals and vitamins and it helps kick start there growth hormnones , i tried it and after a month my runts start to grow normal . and i did not run at a lost when i sold . Am not encouraging any one to buy runts but only ofering a solution incase u are missled to buy them, better to save ur capital than loose all. the best practice is to buy shooters from reputable hatchries .

i believe the nairalanda that sold those runts should be exposed .this one of the reasons of this forum ,or else the person will still continue to do same thing to other nairalandas which will not be in the best intrest of this forum .pls expose him and lets see how he defends himself here. or maybe ur the one with not good proper management ??

stock 2400 fish juvenile .. if u get at 15naira per one that will be about 36 thousand naira ,then keep about 200 thousand for feeding them to table size between 4 to 5 months depending on how u feed conversion ratio and ur water management , ur remain 60 or 64 thousand naira for logistics like medcine should in case , transport , scale , ph kit, bowls ,etc . hope this info answers ur question

catfish definately will feed on any fish smaller than them so far they get hungry,they even feed on their ownself, if they see weaker one or any insured one,they feed on it they are canibals..lol... THE major reasons why people mix them together are as follows....1, catfish GETS HUNGRY IF AND REDUCE GROWTH IF YOU DONT FEED THEM REGULARLY , THEY EASYLY FEED ON THE TILAPIA FRIES AS SURPLEMENT...'2, AS TO REASON 1 ABOVE, IT MAY HELP U REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF FEED IN TOTAL USED FOR THE CATFISH, DIRECTLY REDUCING UR COST OF FEEDING, 3, NO MATTER HOW MUCH THE CATFISH FEED ON THE TILAPIA FRIES. YOU WILL STILL HARVEST SOME TILAPIA WHICH U CAN ALSO SELL CAUSE TILLAPIA PRODUCE NATURALYY ON EARTHEN AND CONCRATE PONDS THEY DONT NEED ARTIFICIAL MEANS LIKE INDUCEMENT ,AND IF TILAPIA ARE NOT WELL MONITORED U CAN GET POPULATION EXPLOSION IN UR POND DUE TO LOTS OF TILAPIA HATCHRIRS AND YOUNG FRIES GROWING,,4, WITH ADDITION OF FEW TILAPIAS TO UR CATFISH POND DOES NOT NESSESARYLY MEANS INCREASE IN FEED U GIVE .TILAPIAS ARE VERY GOOD IN EATING THE SCRUMBS OR LEFTOVER < FEED THE CATFISH DID NOT EAT DURING FEEDING > MEANS U WASTE LESS FEED.. Let's say u stock 5000 melange..
The buyers takes an everage weight of 28kg per bowl, because of easy transportation... The price for melange as at now is #350..Sometimes I get 8 bowls of melange per 1000 melange.. Hope u understand?? What I mean is this: if I stock 1000 melange I will get 8 bowls or 9 bowls at harvest..

8 bowls multiply be 28kg = 224kg
224kg multiply by #350 = #78400

If you stock 5000 that will give you #392,000 in just three months..

Melange farming is good when you have high capacity farm, that has a hatchery and nursery ponds and you keep hatching and stocking in mass.. To be continued

yes sir, i read were you posted melang farming , u only stated how much u sold u never state there how much used for feeding them , which i believe that the for profit u must subtract the amount used from amount sold to get ur profit thank u ,can u clearify betetr on it ??
