Politics / Re: Ekiti 2018 Governorship Election Results: INEC Official Announcement Updates by softseun: 2:27am On Jul 15, 2018
sisimmi:

My dear, elections are not conducted on social media. You need money (plenty of it), strategy, boots on the ground, good ground game, brain work and clarity of vision to win elections. It is a game of numbers. It is foolhardy for anyone to think that APC would be thrown away from Aso Rock just 3 years after! Those who think in that way, are politically short-sighted and fatally myopic. I will explain.

APC grew from Lagos. It then expanded and captured most of the southwest states except Ondo. Then it captured Edo and lost Ekiti. Then it captured Imo. Then, Aso Rock. With Aso Rock, it also captured 23 out of 36 States. Recently, it got back Ondo and has added Ekiti today. That means APC is in control of the finances and power of the Federal Government of Nigeria, controls 25 state government and finances! It also controls the Police, EFCC, ICPC, DSS, Army, Navy, Air Force, Civil Defence, NIA, DMI, etc. On the other hand, PDP which used to control the Federal Government and more than 24 States at a time, only has 10 States and nothing more. To make matters worse, the 10 states are being held and run by extremely unpopular gluttonous crooks with itchy fingers. APGA controls 1 state, and is already partnering with APC for cover and protection.

Add to that brew, is a President who has loyal followers and cult-like dedicated supporters - stuff no other politician in our common history has ever got. The outcome is a party that would rule for a pretty long time. By my extrapolation, APC would run this country for at least 20 years unbroken. If the infrastructure revival currently going on across the country gets the necessary continued attention, APC might rule for up to 5 unbroken decades.

PDP would die a natural death after 2019, just as a lot of the regular politicians would be permanently retired either back home, or to Kuje Prison. Mark these words.

APC grew from Lagos .. LOL Dumb grin

If you try harder maybe you might able to pass it by 4 months smiley Sorry but I have searched all the ways to get quick CRS collection, from TEF to Masters but it seems like ACCA is the best way. So, you better try to ace it asap. IELTS rewriting for CLB 10 is a big gamble.

& relax, I do not think that WES will change the evaluation outcome for now but yes CIC can change their rules as they have been quite unexpected in an unexpected and tragic way for us.

Thanks for the comment, i will look into it

#ACCA - I don't even have an accounting/Biz Admin background, so now i have to go invest 6 months in one ACCA. I hope at the end by the time its done WES wouldn't have change their mind of the evaluation outcome.

I tire abeg.

Someone find another shortcut . IELTS will expire after 8 Months.

It happens that i register for this 1 year program from a college but didn't graduate at that time, now am trying to go back to the school so i could be able to use this certificate under "Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees" in combination with my Bachelors degree.

To satisfy my curiosity, i called this school to ask what type of qualification would be issued upon completion of this program called " Microsoft Certified Solution Developer" they told me it will be just MCSD Credential Certificate from Microsoft and a Transcript from their school highlighting the Modules completed which i have listed below. They would not issue any certificate from their school asides this.

I want to ask if WES would evaluate Microsoft certificate as 1 year graduate study if i provide this school transcript

What's your CRS score? You could rewrite IELTS and aim for at least 8 in Listening and Reading. You score will jump considerably but maybe not so much to get you an ITA.
I had 7 in all the four sections of ielts. but if i get 8 is listening, 7 each in all my CRS will not be morethan 426

Is there anyone with my profile that got ITA, i want to know my best bet and best option to adopt
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by softseun: 7:24am On Mar 26, 2017
what is the best option to apply and meet up with scores requirement if you have only a BSC and 5 years experience with IELTS of 7 band and married. It seems without masters there is no way to meet the required score, am i right?

I tried to calculate this several times using different calculator online, returned different result.

Please advise if someone of my profile could apply to the pool directly.

Thanks
Properties / Re: Building A Four Flat: Need All The Help And Advice I Can Get by softseun: 4:27pm On Dec 27, 2016
JohnIfie:
I'm looking to build a 3 bedroom, four flat apartment in Ibadan. I already have the Architectural and Structural Drawing, but there has been no progress yet regarding the physical building. This is the first time I'm building, and I don't really know much beyond the little things. I've also read a lot NL threads, so I guess I got some ideas from there.

The problem I'm facing now is with starting the construction and the supervision of the process. It's not something I'm up for since I have no basic knowledge of it, and I want a properly built house (it's going to be rented out). The architect that drew the plan told me he also did supervision work (with the Structural Engineer's assistance) and took me to some of his previously supervised work, and one he's currently working on.

Although, I know it isn't really an Architect's work to Supervise a construction process, the fact that he's shown me he can handle it, coupled with the fact that I'm finding it hard to find an 'experienced', certified builder who will not overcharge me and also help build to taste was making my mind up (leaning the architect's way). I became even more confused, though when I decided to start with the fence. The architect asked the bricklayer to dig 2 ft deep, and that the blinding be 200 or 150 mm (was jargon to me then so I didn't interfere), the bricklayer however said that's not how it's done, touting his experience and old age. He said his standard metric was 1.5ft - depth, and 100mm blinding, which didn't work so well with A.

After the incidence, I tried asking around to see which of them was wrong, most saying 1.5 is standard (i.e, A is being too theoretical, thus being wasteful). I got more stories about architects being bad supervisors and over using materials trying to go by the book (tbh, I want something solid, but if the consequences of a minor 'not by the book' change is negligible, I need someone who'll consider it).

Afterwards, I tried searching for new builders, but none of them were certified or studied for it, so I felt they were no better than the architect in that case. I also believe since the architect drew the plan, he'd be an even better choice with the options I have now.

If you have any opinion or advice on how to proceed or any question to determine what to say, then shoot.

Disclaimer: I have a really thick skin. I'm happy to admit when and that I don't know something, even if it's just too obvious to you.

Bless Y'all and Merry Xmas in Advance.

If you find somone reliable let me know... i have the same problem, just dont know who to trust on nairaland lol

Obviously you have never worked on a project the proper way. Go and learn how the building team works. All other professionals are subordinates of the architect on a building site.

Lol, an Architect is under a construction manager who mostly are civil engineers(atleast for mega projects that am aware of), few cases you could find an architect rise to this possition.
