One thing I have to tell the house is that we should all try and get busy with other things and not putting all our hopes on DPR. People will come with different lies and propaganda but when your mind is busy with something you give less attention to them. I wish each and everyone of us the best.

i might be wrong ,but i doubt if there is anybody following this thread that is "putting all their hopes on DPR"...some people here just want an upgrade on their current jobs..........even an unemployed person would not put ALL his/her hope on DPR, knowing how things are done in Nigeria........................so you guys should stop repeating this UNNECESSARY ADVICE

@sokarsenal, what is misleading about what I wrote or different from what you just put? Where did I insinuate that it was under firs? Pls, have proper comprehension before you quote me next time. Even when the scheme is under N-Power, it is still new. Or you are saying it was part of the originally designed scheme. More so, learn to have courtesy and use of charitable words to pass your opinion across. I have not seen where I claim to know all. You will accord your life valuable addition by using your time to learn writing and comprehension. You are free to quote me again but this time around with your English teacher close by. Nagode

I believe this is a new scheme entirely, though the nomenclature might be similar. This new ones are more like contract staff employed under N-Power but posted to FIRS.

when you people read news, you should endeavour to scrutinize and understand every detail before you comment on it.....................the ministry of finance under the npower program has decided to select 7500 tax officials from the empower scheme who would be trained and sent to their communities to enlighten the public and on the need to pay tax as a citizen.....Nd how paying your tax would improve the economy of the country.........these ones are not meant to collect tax,

.,......... that has nothing to do with the FIRS recruitment........their job description is hugely different..................this should not even be a topic for confusion at all

President of the most populous black nation is rubbish because your country has no real power.
The only people in America that knows buhari are Nigerians there. No one else gives a shitt about a third world president except when Bokoharam news pops up.
Chimamanda on the other hand is a symbol of American feminism. She is a role model to the vast majority of American women, and over 80% of americans have heard of her at one point or another.
She gets contacted by various American media agencies, educational institutions and women empowerment groups for interviews and events on a weekly basis ,and she has just been inducted into the exclusive American academy of Arts and Letters- That is the crème de la crème of American Arts.
Most major female American music and movie superstars from the likes of beyonce to Rihanna, to Hally berry, Julia Roberts e.t.c. have publicly contacted her for one or two collaborations because of the strength of her brand. These are all on youtube.
Yes, I know it sounds demeaning that your president welds far less influence in America than a mere individual, but it is true.

preach on brother....he obviously doesn't know that the average American isn't aware of the countries in Africa, they term Africa as a country, whether south Africa , Nigeria, Zambia,....how would he then know the name of the president of an African country, the same average American people that are only concerned about what goes on in their country........,..he obviously doesn't know a lot of Americans don't even know the name of the president of France or chancellor of Germany, let alone the president of Nigeria

Her narrow mindedness if grossly annoying. I wonder how she can be so short sighted. She failed to note that there can be no basis for comparing a trans woman to a natural born woman.

I would have loved to ask Chimamanda if trans women ( that is men who become women) experience menstruation.

A man who transgender into a woman, I don't think will experience menstrual flow cos nature didn't him that way.

The sooner peeps like Adichie get their head off their ass, the better it will be for them.

the issue with most people on nairaland is that they comment based on comments of others, without reading the original piece, so when the first few people make comments without reading the piece, all become confused.......,...........because if you actually read the piece you would understand that you are saying what she is saying.....but you are the typical Nigerian......

...,...................please before you hastily reply, take time to read the original piece

Thanks for the correction sir. I thought it was about the transplant people.

Now that I'm enlightened I'll say these are humans who are not responsible for the way they are. That's why It's something to be treated sensitively. Ms Adichie's opinion still remains hers though I think it was a bit harsh due to her firebrand feminism. I personally haven't formed an concrete opinion about it.

transgender women/people really suffer a lot of discrimination, because no one knows what sex to give you.....imagine Emeka or Tunde or Aliyu starts developing boobs, imagine how the world treats them, but the average "social media trend-following" Nigerian thinks all transgender are the Jenners of this world,.......................so initially Adichie is saying they can't be the same with normal women because they grew up as male, but the self righteous western people would use that to say she is discriminating transgender people....so in summary her long response was to make it clear you can't say that they are the same as women even if u fight for their rights
Literature / Re: Chimamanda Adichie Clarifies Her Statement About Trans Women. by sokarsenal(m): 2:39pm On Mar 13, 2017
true.....no physical difference between a woman and a transexual......but I would like to think adichie was referring to the transgender, the natural ones, imagine being taken as a man by ur friends and family until 11, 12, 13 when confusion sets in

how can diffrenciate a transgender female frm a genetic female? embarassed

simple.........a "natural" transgender was born male because of the presence of the male reproductive organ at birth...and as adichie mentioned....given all the privileges of a boy child when growing up.....until puberty when the breasts comes out..,..........,..now I am referring to the "natural" transgender and not the transexuals like the "Jenners of this world".....those I struggle to understand

Who cares

Trans are the least of my concerns so far as they stay out of Nigeria. As for Ms Adichie, her views are here and I give no single f about them.

do you actually know the "kind of tranny" she was referring to.,.......there are actual humans born with male reproductive organs (penis), hence tagged as male at birth, who start developing breasts during puberty......

but transexuals are as a result of transplant

Pls do u hav idea how their test will look like? I know that the last time they conducted aptitude test, it was paper based & included topics like Maths/Further Maths, Econs, Physics, Chemistry, Geography/Geo Physics, History, Current affairs, Engineering e.t.c. It was organized & conducted by Eraproserve. Many of the candidates then complained about the standard of the test claiming that it was unorganized. Some even called it Academic exam. This time it's goin 2 be CBT & not PBT, do u think it's going 2 come out from GMAT? Response will highly be appreciated.

please what year was that?

Definitely.....people with BSc Mathematics or BSc Statistics according to the advert are to apply as Statisticians (Graduate Trainee)......but you have to be under 30 years by December 31st, 2016 and to have made at least a Second class lower division

would you be 31 year old by December 31st 3016? NO....then you are eligible

I think you don't understand me. because I'm seeing mathematics there and I don't know any university in Nigeria that is offering mathematics engineering as a course.

ya I saw that.....computer science is the same thing as mathematics in most schools in Nigeria......so the requirements for system analyst is Computer / Mathematics Engineering.....but we but know BSc computer science/mathematics is different from BEng or BSc Computer engineering......

the main point is if u have BSc mathematics u still can't apply as a system analyst....but as a statistician....simple

BIG PROBLEM!!!

After submitting successfully and receiving an email with a link to print exam slip, I logged back in after a few days to discover that my status changed from 'Pending' to 'Pending - Successful Application' BUT:

-my higher institution is the only missing info (it was ok when I submitted finally); and

-all sections are now editable i.e. I can delete, add or change info from the all sections except preferred and alternate exam centre.

-the 'Submit and Print' button is now active again which means I can submit.

Now the issue is that:

-I am scared of clicking the submit and print button because I did this the first time and it went through. Even though I have now updated the missing info, I fear that submitting again may count as multiple applications which means disqualification - and I don't want that!

-If I don't submit again, my mind cannot be at rest because of the word 'pending' and the fact that the button to submit is still active.

*Could it be that they reactivated my profile for me to be able to edit and submit again?

Someone please help. Talk to me. Advise if you can.

if even if u save and submit again....the "pending-application successful" would still remain the same

To your questions :

1. I'm not sure your question is clear. If you meant you didn't upload your Nysc, Tertiary and SSCE Certs, you MUST upload them. So go back to your application, use your profile to edit and use the "save and continue" button to update your profile. Don't click SUBMIT.

2. Forget the warning message. Edit your profile but don't click SUBMIT.

3. 3 references okay. But 4 isn't bad.

.......after editing your profile there is no "save and continue" option.....

the only options available are "submit and print" and "start a new application"........ what you should not click is the latter option, ie "start a new application".......if u edit ur profile and submit ur institution is add......and your reference no doesn't change.........same way as every other online application
