@ toluxa, its not a thrick just a software, and ofcourse u can run many OS (one at a time), But the question is, can U RUN THEM ALL AT A TIME??  and switch between each just switching between ur browsers tabs?  and can u delete and reinstall it within 2 minutes?? thats tiny xp for u.

@ Grizzly, ur right tricks shared or not shared gets blocked, but u cannot compare the live span of the tricks that are spread (1-2 months) to the life span of the once not spread (1-2 years) lol. the key here, is to make the much u can from the trick before it gets blocked.

if you still have 8080 in them, then ur not a vpn user yet.

@ Posters, I will reserve my comments to myself, you all can go on to say wat u like, BUT. as for me, I got YF in a CD, from one of this forex training seminars my neighbour attended. (before gloaded posted it).

I know the vpn has helped a lot of ppl, and they do appreciate it so i wont call everyone an ingrate, rather they know themselves. @ Honsule, even the VPN source site stated it clearly that vista often restricts access (even authorized) to its network configurations, and thats what Open VPN is trying to do, have u tried adding the application to your Firewall exception list?? Just another reason to HATE vista.
But it worked for some ppl oh, currently mine is giving problem in my GHOST partition, it works well, but just continues trying to acquire network address which DHCP has failed to assign.

@ finni, if you leave your IE and FF settings at 8080, then the VPN is just for fancy, to use the VPN 8080 settings has to be cleared, and set to No proxy for FF and automatic for IE (or nothin). about the check boxes, i left it all alike that.

Well i guess u will have to answer the question that yf asked you then, make sure the open vpn is runing at the task bar, also check you control panel>>network conenction and see if the network adapter with name: TAP-Win32 adapter V9 is present, and that u have typed in the DNS server address in the TCP ip properties. exit all including yf and run again, dont forget to tick the open vpn check box in yf's ports tab.

@ semid, past expiriences have shown me that connection problems are often linked to freedom servers/usernames and passwords and gprs signal.
as for the installation problem, i think it might be a bad file. a fresh downloaded copy will solve that. try deleting the your freedom folder from programs file before installing again.

@ semid. if uninstalled, u can always reinstall. and the same installation file works on vista and xp, nothin special. but when u say it did not work, what exactly do u mean?? refused to connect? or did no install at all?

@finni, I clearly stated that the open VPN sh*t is Attributable to your-freedom net, i just poked, please read my previous post u will see.
The Effect on speed?? haha, you wont believe me until u have tested it your self. Let me just say It makes the 64k allocated to free user seem like they are on another package. Note: it still trives on 64k for free users, but ITS FASTER, it doesn't count streams, meaning you can exceed the limit (10).
THE SH*t Is BLAZING. take it or leave it, but i suggest u take it. i mean It connect messenger 9. marketiva streams per second, yahoo launch (radio) streams fine, even youtube, what else do u want/? if you want to run the MTN server down with your 800MB downloads and u think its not fast enough for you, please subscribe for the total package.

1. change servers.
2. check the message tab to see wat error it gives.
3. if you've been online for upto 6 hours NONstop. you wil need another ID to login with.
4. as a last resort, Restart your system. if symptoms persist, Please switch to ZAIN.

@ chrisemi. Just get a download manager and u wont have to worry about interuptions again cos it will resume when connection comes back on. u know if freedom no fck up. gprs will, so there's bound to be disconnections cos we are using packet data. DAP, IDM FDM all can be found at download .com.

@Semid. what i'm saying is pretty simple. Your YF door is not fully OPEN, check out My own freedom DOOR below.
with Open VPN all application can access the internet on your system as if Its Normal LAN connection. You can even use Latest yahoomesenger 9 and any other application and browsers, without any special config. they will all connect through the Open VPN. ITs SWEET.

So has anyone tested freedom without configuring browsers and applications i talked about??
I think it way faster than using port 8080. Its Like being on a LAN. Even views webcam, streams Yahoo Launch cast, without much breaks, and shows status message of chats i.e "typing message" that only show when connection is OK.
I could not use marketiva on YF. and was tired of changing proxy settings. But with this Open VPN. Life Is good on Yf
