Please if I may ask. Do you pay before you book the appointment? Or you booked and pay after? Which one?

I received CAS today from my school. That is a sure hope that internationals are welcome to Uk in September. Those still expecting should keep hope alive.

Thank you so much for this response. I would want to ask a question. I am the one going to Study in Scotland, my question is, if we apply together, (my husband and two kids ages 3 and 5), would my husband automatically get 40hrs per week work permit as a tier 4 dependant? Also, if we apply separately, (I apply first to receive my decision before they apply), would he still be eligible for the work permit? Thanks
Your husband (dependant) will not be limited to a number of hours to work he can do “unlimited” but he will need to get National Insurance NI number before he can work. Regardless of when he join you, he will need to book an appointment to obtain NI before he can work legally.

@olarinde,

Pls can someone say we need to sought out accommodation before the dependants can join?

If ok, what are the documents the main applicant will send to add to dependants application

And must the main applicant get to UK first before the dependants file theirs application?
I travelled first before my wife joined me, but we applied at the same time. This was to make accommodation plans ready before she come around. I travelled as a first timer when I traveled. It is good to plan yourself well. Will not suggest hotel as there are studio accommodation with bills PCM cheaper than hotel.
When the main applicant travel before their dependants (spouse/child), no documents are required to be sent to them. Dependants just need to apply to joining their partner, your post code where you live in the UK will only be needed so they can include that in the application as where they will be living when they join you. Also the border force might ask them “where are you going “.
To answer the 3rd question. Be sincere with yourself, decide what you want because you will fill it in your application “Are you travelling with any dependants “. I advise you apply together, when your visa is approved, you can travel alone to make accommodation preparations before your dependants join you, but it must be between 30days because vignettes (permission to enter )expires in 30days after visa is approved. Hope this make sense?

MamaG2020:
Good morning family, I will like to know if I apply for visa as a primary applicant first and get positive outcome, can my dependants (hubby and kid) apply immediately in order to meet up travelling together.

Second, if they can't meet up and it requires me to go first, can my hubby be allow to bring my a year old kid?

Any of this category already in UK for MSc. that I can get first hand info base on how they did it and interview questions

Also, anybody in middlesbrough I can get info from about accommodation for family in a good and safe area.

Whichever way you want to apply is good. But PBS tier 4 guidelines requires that applicant and their dependants apply at the same time so that the application can be treated as one. If there are reasons personal to you that your dependants can’t apply with you then you are still on track. But note that if you apply alone, there is a portion in the form where you will fill in when you intend to travel, will you be travelling with dependants? How you answer these questions will determine if they can apply immediately after you or you will have to travel before they can apply. Be properly guided.

Please will they interview adult dependent like(your spouse) or just the main applicant?

Only the main applicant will be interviewed, all other dependants will just need to submit their documents and do biometrics.

They have mailed me to provide documents for CAS Issuance. Abeg which one is pre- CAS interview ooo. Someone should help me out pls. I need to know what to expect
Had similar experience with Keele University. The uni. Requires to see your bank statement of account and other documents (academic) before they issue CAS for you. Thereafter, they will send you a sample CAS for you to check if there is any mistake, after which your main CAS will be issued. Likely interview questions you will be asked during your visa interview will be sent to you as well. Hope this make sense?

Did my tuberculosis test on the 27th of February and was just about to have CAS issued when COVID-19 shut everything down.

My TB test result expires on the 27th of August and I’m considering booking a new appointment for a repeat test as I may not be able to submit my visa application before the current one expires. No one knows for certain when the visa application centre will reopen for new applications.

N54 000 and almost a whole day down the drain.
Fingers crossed, you should be able to put in your application before it expires. TLS should be receiving new applications from mid July hopefully.

Guys pls has anyone gotten CAS yet.huhhuhhuh?
I guess most of us are awaiting CAS. I think the Unis. are delaying it because our borders are not yet open. Because international students who are in UK have gotten CAS but Int students outside the UK are yet to get.

Good morning guys, does any one have much information about university of bedfodshire, the research and reviews I’ve seen aren’t really encouraging. Also, university of Northampton, those are my two options
Based on my personal experience. The uni is like an advance 9ja sc Sch. I applied there but latter withdrew my application. You will be required to submit your statement of account and pay 50% of tuition before you get CAS. And thereafter pay the remaining 50% at enrolment. Generating CAS for them is like waiting till eternity. Best of luck with them sha.

Please I would like to confirm that the study visa application doesn’t include police report? Haven’t heard much about this here.
With my own understanding, The course you choose to study, the university and the location of your university will determine that. The school will also notify you if you will need a police clearance. I will be studying MSc Adult Nursing in September and my school has requested I should come with police clearance at enrolment. Confirm with your uni to be properly guided. Hope this make sense.

Hello house! I got my tier4 visa approved today for 2years.
Here is my transcript below;

*Biometric and interview on Tuesday 28th September!
*visa application sent to the Decision Making Centre for processing on the same date 28th September, 2018.
*online application received at the UK Decision Making Centre on September 1st.
*Decision was made and passport is ready for collection at the TLScontact on the same date 19th of September.

Yeah. I just did my interview on Monday and I was asked the same questions that you shared. It was same woman that interviewed me. I was happy with all her questions as she doesn't ask much. Congratulations to you . hope to hear our testimony soon.

Now to the interview questions;
*can you confirm your date of birth and nationality please?
*can you confirm your course start date and what course are you studying?
*why this course?
*what school and why this school?
Lastly, why the Uk?

This interview wasn’t up to 5minutes which got me so worried because every other people that has been going in use nothing but like 15/17 minutes.
