Please do the school accept HND Graduate for same course?
With HND you have to apply for Bsc in Germany.

I agree with you I also heard from a source that it's not just the covid 19 thing.
They said nigerian student's in Germany are mischievous.
So the appointment date thing is just a strategy.
When a country don't need you they won't tell you outrightly.
The ban is only to Cameroon and Nigerians..
Who are the michievous Nigerian students? Naija guys are doing great here in academics, Please verify info be before you drop it.

Can one move from here to the US. I mean is it advisable to do the visa interview from here or go back to Nigeria to do it? Has anybody been denied or accepted from here?
What are you going to do in US. That's what matters, and that's what Visa interview is all about.

Haba! 7 other schools.
Na una dey make things difficult for other naija. You've indirectly taken other people's slot and ended up wasting them.
Please calm down, you think I woke up one year, applied to seven schools and travelled? The travelling process is not a straight line for everybody. And I rejected the admissions I didn't need.

For all winter 2021/2022 applicants, keep the hope alive. Try to book for AD by April and use a far start date like October or November and please avoid the temptation of cancelling and rebooking .. JUST BOOK AND WAIT, "Patience is King" in this DE waka.... I believe things will get better concerning AD the moment the lock down here ease up ..

For those in the area of EEE/IT check out this courses, they all don't require ielts in case you don't have...

Thanks so much for your prayer.
Your assumption is not entirely correct. MSc in Germany is really not easy, very soon you will realize what I just said if you finally see yourself in Germany. Arriving from Nigeria, you will be met with many things you were not used to. And Germans are not easy to please, they themselves are very hardworking and expect you to be hardworking too.
Many bosses (Chef) here come to work early and do overtime, unlike in Nigeria where bosses mostly come late and go early. They have a hardworking spirit in their veins.
Thanks.. I appreciate the explanation

Good evening Gentlemen and Ladies.

I am currently rounding up a B.Eng in few months and had planned bringing my wife around to join me (family reunion; before Easter) just because we´ve been apart long enough which we both find disturbing.

Our plans:
1. Having babies while i either look for/get a professional job or start my masters. Like everyone else, i have 18months to get a job or get into masters. But, she also want to work and support me. I wonder how this could turn out.
2. Ease to relocate if everything goes south; maybe moving to Canada/USA together if it comes to that. At the moment, i still want to try my might in DE.

I live and studied in Bayern (not Munich). People seem to prefer other big cities like Berlin, Hamburg, Köln, Dusseldorf. The advantages aren´t lucid to me since i´ve only lived here.
Though am not completely clueless with the immigration laws; i don´t want to end up being smart by half.
a) Does anyone have experience on this or knows anyone who brought in their spouse as a student/job seeker?
b) What are the basic things i might need to fix before being eligible to invite her? (Ausländerbehorde is yet to open, internet sources might just be a mirage/deceit). I need a firsthand info.

This is a serious decision for us, so i urge you guys to really give your best bite. She is a Nairalander too and she would be reading comments as well.

Danke/Thanks.
Settle down first before you start talking of family reunion... If I were you now I would apply for a good master's program first while you continue to look for jobs as you carry on with your master's ..If you get the job, you can then start the family reunion... But you should book for appointment for your wife now because it takes sometimes up to one year to get family reunion appointment... Just continue to pet your wife and tell your wife sweet and romantic things on phone... You studied engineering, you will get a job don't worry... What's your field in Engineering?

Hi everyone, I just joined this forum... Please can I possibly get an admission and visa without ielts, I applied to FAU ERLANGEN-NÜRNBERG sent my application by post
on the 28th Dec, no response yet, fingers crossed

Anyone applied/applying for Biochemistry or related courses and in which universities.?
Please I need help and guidance
Your waiting has just begun.. That school is one of the top schools in DE but their delay in admission is second to none... Start applying to other schools to ease your visa application process... Don't wait for FAU o

And concerning your ielts question, I got admission in FAU Erlange and about seven other admissions in Germany without using ielts ...Use daad.de to research and make your choice... But you can still write ielts, it would make your application easier.

Congrats bro. Canada denied me last year so I want to try Canada this year. I have OND, HND and Btech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. My OND is lower credit 2.89, my HND is upper credit 3.09, my Btech is 3.75. My OND and HND transcripts are are with me already while I am working on getting my Btech transcripts. I also have about 7years working experience maintenance management. Kindly advice bro. How do I get started. The best schools to apply to and the best programs.
Check schools that combine Engineering and management together e.g MEng Technology and Innovation Management.... I think there is another Engineering management course at TU Munich for master's level... Just use daad.de to search for international programs

But it is not easy to succeed in job hunt go Germany with a management oriented degree.. They prefer core technical career path... They give management roles to Germans.. Think wisely, the choice is yours between these two paths as you have already built a career go one area

Hahahahahahaaahahah, when I got my German visa, this is exactly how people reacted. The question on their lips to date is HOW POSSIBLE? , because to them it seemed impossible since I came from a very poor family.
They all thought maybe I won a scholarship or something like that. In the place I work at night, I opened up to one of my colleagues that I have another job (mini) in addition to my studies which I don't joke with, he thought I was joking. He asked HOW ON EARTH CAN A HUMAN DO THIS STRESSFUL NIGHT JOB AND STILL DO ANOTHER JOB, AND TO THINK THAT HE IS EVEN A STUDENT... IS THAT POSSIBLE?
I found out that people always ask HOW in my case. All glory belongs to Almighty God.
Well, that's apart.

I agree with you, Germans are not friendly. They hardly talk to you if you don't talk to them, and they are strict too. They are mostly introverts but honestly, they have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the world. The problem is that we find it hard learning the language. Some of us don't also have the intention of learning the language. Deutschland is not English land, we need Deutsch to go far in Deutschland. if you intend to live in Germany, then you need to learn the language. If we can learn the language to at least B1 and pass the Goethe B1 test before graduating, it will go a long way in widening our employability.
The good news is that it is no longer compulsory that you must get work in your area of discipline which means you can as well learn a needed skill and get work in other fields if possible or even leave the country to settle in other countries, the main aim of almost every person that left Nigeria for studies in abroad is to remain in abroad after his or her studies.
It is extremely rare to see anyone who plans to return back to Nigeria.

So anywhere at all that gives you the opportunity to stay after your MSc, why not?
May God continue to bless your hard work... I have noticed people have different experience in Germany.. I have read about somebody on nairaland here who lived in Siegen, didn't work for almost seven months after arrival but still had good testimony of how he later made money in DE while studying even with good grades in his studies...

I am assuming most Nigerian students are very poor with multitasking because in Nigeria, it is mostly just a narrow approach of studies alone in our universities

Hey Bro i will come back to you on how you made this money in Germany that runs to millions of Naira, to be frank with you i spent 3 years and half in Germany as a master student in Berlin 2016 to 2019, i worked my freaking ash off, combining work and school in Germany is not easy. well i cant say Germany is not a good country per say but they are not friendly people whether in suburbs side or big cities. i got tired of ich bin this ich bin that and besides after my study how many percentage of international student get jobs, few of them most start all over doing 2nd master i calculated all of these i took off. I am happy today i did, i can understand what they speak where i am, i see happy people around me infarct I am so happy.so i guess you are one of the lucky ones in Deutschland .

There are really some inconsistencies in your post which I boldened and again please pay special attention to spellings and punctuations and start each sentence with a capital letter, it makes the post easier to read and understand especially if it is long.
Well, just as I mentioned earlier, we are all different and we see things in a different way.
From your post, I suspect maybe you study in the smaller part of the country or Eastern Germany, I heard that they are more hostile to strangers. Bigger cities are more international and friendly.
You eventually took it to the level of spelling and grammar correction? There is no need to be petty, you have a strong basis for your argument.

I booked appointment in May but couldn't get a date after 6months being oct 1st I have to cancel and rebook since everything would be wiped away, then I found out none of the first class students has gotten AD and only cat b were getting with scholarship, I said maybe I should consider booking in cat B since all the AD screenshots have been seeing around that time is all cat B and scholarship students.
I rebooked early morning 8:20 am 1st oct. So I believe if the embassy starts issuing dates to cat B I would be among the first but someone claimed yesterday he booked under cat A and didn't ticked on scholarship students but got an appointment. Pls how true is this?

Do u think I should cancel and rebook now that is late cuz AD might start coming by January

COVID-19: Why we soft-pedal on travel ban — FG
ON DECEMBER 22, 20206:05 PMIN NEWS

The Federal Government says it has not imposed
travel ban, particularly to and from UK, over the mutated strain of COVID-19.

The government said it will require the concurrence of neighbouring countries for the ban to be effective.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, disclosed this when he featured on a Radio Nigeria programme, “Politics Nationwide’’ on Tuesday in Abuja.

During the programme monitored by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Mohammed said, ”although the government is concerned over importation of the COVID-19 new strain, it did not want to take a hasty decision”.

He said the Presidential Committee on COVID-19 deliberated on the issue at its meeting on Monday and decided to watch the development for the time being.

He said they are working with West African Health Organisations and other neighbouring countries, particularly, Benin Republic, Togo and Ghana.

“We did not want to take a hasty decision to ban flight from the UK into Nigeria only to find out our people are going through Cotonou, Lome or Accra to come into the country.

“What the Airlines will do is to transfer Nigerian passengers to these routes and they will enter the country through the land borders.

“This will lead into hardship to Nigerians because if you transfer your economy to other countries you lose a lot of money

“However, if we get the concurrence of these other countries, we will not hesitate to do the needful.

“We are consulting and being very careful in order to take a proper decision,’’ he said.

It would be recalled that the minister gave the hint on Monday that the Federal Government might impose travel ban to and from certain parts of the world into the country.

Mohammed, a member of PTF, had said at a Special NAN Forum that the government was concerned about the new strain of COVID-19, manifesting itself in the UK that is the mutated strain.

“It is difficult to detect, it spreads faster and people have been known to die of it within a very short period of its detection.

“This is a major concern to us as a country.

“Why I did not want to pre-empt the PTF because we are meeting this afternoon, it is going to be top on the agenda of our discussions.

“I will not be surprised if that will be the recommendation of the committee which is meeting later today,’’ he said.

The minister noted that many European countries had banned flights into the UK and many imposed restrictions into that country.

What differentiates then, like how is their mode of teaching / learning different.
University of applied sciences is focused on industry and hands on practicals with a little bit of research while Technical University also refereed to as University is focused on research and academics. Don't get confused by the word "technical"

I am also interested in moving to Canada . After living here for 1 year , I have a mixed feeling about Germany . I could give it time but anybody who is Germany knows that regardless of amount of years you stay here the majority find the language and the environment unbearable . I say this because I talk to almost all students from Africa and India and Pakistan . Most have the same feeling ....a lot of complaining , lol

That’s one thing I understood really , language is key . It’s not just a barrier for your work or social life but it’s your whole sense of being ,the way you think .
I personally like English (not a native speaker , not Nigerian too ) , it’s easy for me. There is no way I will build that level of thinking in German in the near future , I just don’t see it . Sure you can learn and communicate average enough to work and live but like I said language is more than a tool of convenience.
Knowing German for me is like learning Java for instance , sure you might work on it . One ,do u feel confident enough ?
Two,does it feel like a natural language or a programming language ? Lol
Don’t get me wrong I will still finish my studies , still learn the language , still look for Praktikum but now I have decided to look for any other options .
With that being said I am open to suggestions.
I know there is Canada study route , express entry , PNP .
Peace ✌️
I’m open to arguments and thoughts
Focus on PNP but this depends on what your course and specialization

The issue isn't about Germany accepting immigrants, it's about Germany accepting "Nigerian based immigrants". USA just tagged Nigeria as a nation with religious intolerance. Most Western nations take cue from USA for their foreign Policies. It's always been about Politics and International Interests.

And right now, Nigeria has a bad reputation internationally. Your blame should be on your Government for always handling things poorly
