The Chief Magistrate District Court II in Abuja has suspended the warrant of arrest issued previously to the Special Presidential Investigative Panel (SPIP) headed by Chief Okoi Obono-Obla against five top officials of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), reports Completesports.com.

The officials are NFF President, Amaju Pinnick his two vice-presidents; Seyi Akinwunmi and Shehu Dikko, as well as Ahmed Yusuf and the General Secretary, Dr. Sanusi Mohammed.
A statement from the NFF’s lawyers, Mamman Nasir & Co, was made available by the Communications Department of the Nigerian football ruling body stating that the court ordered that status quo be maintained while a notice was served to the (SPIP) to answer to other fundamental and substantial issues of law put forward by our clients in the matter.

The 32nd Africa Cup of Nations will hold from 15th June – 13th July this year.
Egypt beat South Africa to the hosting rights after Cameroon, were stripped of the rights to host the tournament late last year.
The announcement was made after CAF’s executive committee meeting on Tuesday morning.

This year’s tournament will be unique because the competition has been expanded to 24 nations and has moved from the usual January slot to June.

Egypt last hosted the Afcon in 2006 – they’ve hosted on four occasions in total.

Jose Mourinho has been sacked by Manchester United.

According to a Sky Sports report, Mourinho’s assistant Michael Carrick will be appointed temporary manager to take charge till the end of the season.

Mourinho’s future has been the subject of intense scrutiny this season – and the club’s worst start to a season in 28 years was confirmed with defeat at Liverpool on Sunday.
The 55-year-old Portuguese insisted at Anfield that he had not lost the dressing room, as his team sat sixth in the Premier League table and 11 points off the Champions League places.

But Manchester United announced on Tuesday that “manager Jose Mourinho has left the club with immediate effect.”
