Spanish giants, Barcelona are considering a move for talented Nigeria winger Samuel Chukwueze. Barcelona sees Chukwueze as an ideal and a cheaper alternative to PSG forward Neymar who they failed to lure back to the Camp Nou this summer. Chukuweze has scored 10 goals and recorded five assists in 45 appearances since breaking into Villarreal’s first team last season. The big obstacle to hiring Chukuwueze is the price of the deal which can go as high as €63m, Read more: https://www.completesports.com/barcelona-target-chukwueze-as-alternative-to-neymar/ “The situation of Ousmane Dembele remains unimproved compared to last season. The injuries return and Barcelona are running out of patience.” Premier League clubs, Liverpool and Leicester City are also interested in signing the 20-year-old.

Manchester United are lining up a January swoop for Ivan Rakitic, who could be on the move from Barcelona when the window opens. Reds boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to strengthen all areas of his squad and a new central midfielder is high on his wanted list. Young starlets such as Leicester City’s James Maddison and West Ham’s Declan Rice have been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford, but there is zero chance of either deal happening in January as both clubs refuse to sell midway through a season. With that in mind, reports claim that Solskjaer will turn his focus to Rakitic, who has bags of quality and experience, and at the age of 31 still has some of his best years ahead of him. He could be the answer to some of United’s issues and there is a good chance of getting him on board as Barca are willing to sell at the right price, as he struggles for game time at the Nou Camp. That figure is set to stand at £35million and United would have no problems matching it when the window opens. Talks are said to have started with the Catalan giants over a potential deal, but United are not the only interested party and they will face competition from elsewhere. Read more: https://www.completesports.com/int/united-turn-to-barca-star-to-strengthen-midfield/ AC Milan are also said to be in the hunt as they look to build a side capable of getting back into the top four of Serie A, and see Rakitic as such the kind of player they need. The Croatian international is desperate to play first-team football and will be keen to join a club that can offer that on a regular basis. That could put Milan in the box seat to do a deal, because as things stand, he would be one of the first names on the team sheet if they could do a deal.

Borussia Dortmund are lining up a swoop on England once again, with Wolves starlet Chem Campbell said to be the target. Dortmund have already had great success when bringing Jadon Sancho over from Manchester City back in 2017 and sense another opportunity with Campbell. Campbell is just 16, and is already very highly-rated by Wolves, who had him training with the first-team this summer. He has also been impressing in the under-18 set up this season. So much so he has made the step up to the under-23s and if he carries on the way he is going, then a call up to the first-team ranks will not be too far away. Wolves are clearly desperate to keep hold of the youngster but are unable to tie him down to a professional deal until he turns 17 in December, and that could leave the door ajar for Dortmund to swoop in and bring him to Germany. Read more: https://www.completesports.com/int/dortmund-keeping-tabs-on-wolves-starlet/ Reports are rife that Dortmund are keeping a very close eye on the player and have sent scouts to watch him in action this season. The reports back to Lucien Favre have been favourable and moves could be made to snap him up before Wolves tie him down to a professional deal. The central midfielder has an eye for goal, scoring two in five appearances for the under-18s, before playing one game for the under-23s in the Premier League 2 against Brighton. A number of youngsters have impressed since making the move to Germany and the Wales youth international could also be tempted if BVB make a move.

Chelsea starlet Marc Guehi is planning on being the next youngster to break into Frank Lampard’s side and is tapping up Blues legend John Terry for some advice. He is another promising youngster coming out of the Stamford Bridge academy and Guehi cites Terry as a major influence in his bid to become a regular in the Chelsea side at some point in the very near future. Read more :https://www.completesports.com/int/chelsea-starlet-sets-sights-on-blues-first-team/ “He was a great leader, a great defender and someone I definitely look up to,” he said. “I have spoken with him and he has trained with us a few times. “He told us to always be focused on what you do, communicating at all times and making sure you’re concentrated and that you’re having fun, enjoying what you do.” Guehi has plenty of current players at Chelsea to look up to, given the emergence of the youngsters under Lampard this season. Chelsea stars Mason Mount, Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham are in the England senior squad while Callum Hudson-Odoi is back with the under-21s this month after his Achilles injury, and Guehi is keen to follow in their footsteps. The youngster knows his chance will come, and is ready to grab it when it does. “They’re role models for me,” Guehi added. “Mason, Fikayo, Tammy – they’re young players doing really well at the moment and that’s an incentive for even more young players at Chelsea to know that if you keep working hard, there are opportunities there. “Hopefully (it’s not far for me). I just need to keep working hard and if I’m called upon, I need to make sure I’m ready.” Guehi is set to feature for the Young Lions in an important Euro qualifier against Austria at MK Dons on Tuesday night. The visitors are currently top of Group 3, with three wins from three, so boss Aidy Boothroyd knows a tough game lies in store.

Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has been handed a one-match ban and fined 1,000 euros by the Cyprus Football Association following complaint of ineligibility by Apollon Limassol, reports Completesports.com. Uzoho, 20, linked up with Cypriot club, Anorthosis Famagusta on a six-month loan deal on the final day of the winter transfer window from Spanish side, Deportivo La Coruna. He made his debut two days later in Anorthosis Famagusta’s 1-0 win against Apollon Limassol. Limassol later filed a protest with Cyprus Football Association claiming Uzoho was ineligible to feature in the game. They questioned the valdity of the mandatory medical certificate submitted by Anorthosis on behalf of the player as they insisted Uzoho arrived Cyprus hours after the KOA office had shut down on February 1. Uzoho reportedly informed the Police that the medical certificate was prepared for him while he was in flight en route Cyprus – which by implication suggested that he did not undergo necessary medical tests before the issuance. Maurizio Sarri says he is not concerned about the Chelsea fans turning on him during the FA Cup loss to Manchester United. The Blues lost for the third time in five matches, via a 2-0 scoreline at Stamford Bridge that perhaps flattered their performance. Following a promising start they were convincingly outclassed by United, who impressively responded to their first defeat under interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to progress to the quarter-finals where they will visit Wolves. The visitors built their lead through first-half headers from Ander Herrera and then Paul Pogba as Chelsea’s supporters turned on their manager by chanting “f*** Sarri-ball”. Former Masters champion Adam Scott feels slow play will continue to be the scourge of golf until the lawmakers do something about it. JB Holmes’ victory in the Genesis Open was overshadowed by further criticism of the authorities’ inability to crack down on players who take too long to play their shots. Holmes certainly comes into that category and was seen time and again to be lining up his putts with little urgency at Riviera Country Club. The American defended himself after lifting the trophy, stating that blustery conditions made it impossible to rush through iron shots or those on the green. The debate will continue to rage on and Scott, who ended up in a tie for seventh in California, believes the situation will remain as it is unless the USGA and R&A pull their fingers out. After failing to make an impact against Paris Saint-Germain in Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League first-leg round of 16 clash at Old Trafford, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has urged Alexis Sanchez to rediscover his form at the club. Sanchez replaced the injured Jesse Lingard just before half-time on Tuesday night but the Chilean was underwhelming as PSG defeated Manchester United 2-0 thanks to goals from Presnel Kimpembe and Kylian Mbappe. “I can’t do anything about Alexis Sanchez,” Solskjaer was quoted on the Daily Mail. “When he plays he needs to find himself because we know there’s a quality player there.” “Today we weren’t at their level. This is a level up from what we’ve played against, the games we’ve had.
