MODERATOR, KINDLY CLOSE THIS THREAD. THANK YOU. |
aribisala0: really there is no big deal but it raises a number of questions in modern life.. Interesting story. I think it was in bad taste to ask her to keep the fiver. Not surprised the way she reacted. It probably made her think he felt obligated to give her money for spending the night, implicitly (though inadvertently) labeling her a... By the way, my girl - a naija girl - would react the same way. #proudbf. I think a lot depends on knowing how to read character within a short time of meeting someone, knowing what you want and not letting Old Roger do the thinking. |
Is Seun really that ubiquitous? Like, is he reading my post right now? *amazed* |
Lilimax: Why did they they wait for years before bringing in this porting stuff. It would have been appreciated more if it were when SIM card was very expensive. As for me, I have all the network. Anyone that messes up, I will discard it.Afterall SIM card is as cheap as pure water. You're making plenty sense. Yet you cannot deny that there is definitely a market for MNP once Nigerians get over the inconveniencing way in which the service will be delivered, e.g. you've used the same number for years, you have possibly thousands of contacts who have that number but you've had it with the network provider. What do you do? Port I think. This is certainly my category so I'm pleased to have MNP now with all its imperfections when few days ago it wasn't even available as an option. |
kufreabasi: Will this solve the crimes and corruptions problems going on in Nigeria? Leave the poor masses to enjoy their normal lives instead of creating more problems to the existing ones.. It's not mandatory my brother. You can choose to ignore it as if it never happened. |
Jenams: This portin poo is not in d interest of d subscribers, what's d need of havin more than one sim and goin tru dis tidious process wen one intends to port out? A simple text msg shud be enuf and less than one hour port-completion period! 90 days is too much! Anytin naija do must get K-leg!. I read 48 hours. You must have read a different article. Lol |
Tell you what, there's a sorry class of girls these days to whom it is a strong preoccupation to be desired by any man they meet. They've been spoiled by all the attentions they've received from men (the ones who are like peacocks with arrested development) to the point that they've come to depend on them to reaffirm their self worth. So when they encounter a guy who's not giving them the time of day, they pull out all those little stunts and tricks to grab his attention because they NEED it. They are empty inside and their self esteem depends largely on being desired by men. |

@OP: Distance is a bitch. That's what I blame. That said, your guy is also being a dick about it which I can totally identify with hehe. The distance has really limited you guys as to what you can do to keep the flame burning. Relationships, in my modest opinion, need to be nursed like babies to keep them alive. From the guy's perspective, maybe everything has gotten boring and repetitive, because it's very difficult to freshen things up when you are so far apart. Add to that, the absence of physical intimacy. In such a situation, a guy who really loves you and wants to be with you, would rise to the challenge and be inventive to keep things fresh. He would find ways to make those prosaic phone conversations more interesting, etc. So if he isn't doing that, if he's not fighting hard for you, it means he had never really embraced the possibility that you were the one for him, or he has lost sight of those things that made him love you, and maybe he's had his head turned by someone or something else. But I dont think hes necessarily cheating on you though, I just think his feelings were never really strong enough to withstand the test of distance. I also think he either knows what he wants and youre not it, in which case hes holding out for something better, or he doesnt know what he wants, and is just stringing you along while he figures it all out. |
Richvkunt: The OP came here claiming married men on this forum were bugging her for relationships.. Gbam! |
Tashamania: In that case, they have the options of marrying as many wives as they want. Afterall, no one is against it.! That's a bit unfair though. It's not the daughters' fault that the fathers can't keep it in their pants. |
Venue is GTBank Training School, Port Harcourt |
The test is for the "Executive Trainee" position.. |
Just got an invitation for the aptitude test. Who else has? |
Thank you Sir |
Cynthia I hail you. Our madam at the top! |
It's been one month though it feels like one year. I still see us waiting another month at least. It would be nice though to receive some reassurance that they have not decided to pull the plug on the whole thing. |
There are platforms like Meritrade that allow you to manage your portfolio online[sup][/sup], yes! Haven't used it myself, I'm just aware it exists |
Cyntia: i like confessor more than soldier-aI would like Cynthia more if she would take the time to spell people's names correctly (including her own) and complete words. Haha. Just teasing you o. Happy Easter! |
konfessor: she never claimed to be a prophetess dude.Ok dude, was just kidding anyway. Where's your sense of humour? |
I'm young, really interested in learning how to invest the right way. It would help a lot of I could find a mentor. Any takers? |
@Cynthia: Relax? I'm relaxed. Have no fear on my account. Hearsay? Just sharing my thoughts and opinions hoping to spark interesting discussions that will lead to better information for us all. That's the point of a forum you know. Its certainly better than prophecying things that never come too pass hahaha. No hard feelings babe. |
Cyntia: our employment letters comes after our training;I will not debate the number of Cross Riverians with you as I am not an insider, but I had it on pretty good authority. I might have heard wrong, possibly. |
By the way, this is not a job though. It's a graduate programme. I think everyone should sort of keep that in perspective. The training begins in the classroom apparently and progresses with each trainee being assigned to a suitable speciality (such as quarry division, bagging, control room etc.) Getting a job afterwards is subject to availability and performance after the evaluation (which is done after the training programme on a per candidate basis.) Further, I heard UniCem is planning to take 30 candidates- 24 Cross Riverians and 6 others. I hope this information was helpful |
Cyntia: we will be called before 28thIn an earlier post you insinuated that you were an employee at UniCem. Now you're sounding like a prospective graduate trainee. Which are you? |
mac-momo:It sounds bogus for two reasons: 1. They would probably invite successful candidates for discussion of terms, verification/identity checks and health examinations before giving out employment letters 2. If they had started giving out letters I should have received mine. |
