TV/MoviesRe: What Series Are You Watching Now? Part 2 by solomonbrown64: 6:43pm On Dec 23, 2019
.... I never thought I would see the day I will watch a complete fantasy series where the use magic won't be sidelined. Since Legend of the Seeker was cancelled, there haven't been another series like that. GOT wasn't it and completely different in what I wanted and what was given.

... The Witcher. Oh My Word!! Action from beginning to end with a story that was slowly told albeit in what might seem like a random order but in my opinion, well done. The writing was very good and the use of CGI was well done too. In this first season: every detail matters, every scene matters too. Skip even one and the show won't make sense. My goodness, those with magic never seem to age especially the Witcher.

... There is so much potential in the series and since Netflix have said that they want to make it their own form of GOT which I think the comparison is unnecessary, I have faith that the show will only get better. So many bonds were seen to have been made in this introductory season; the two that surrounds the Witcher is what interests me the most.

... The cinematography was awesome, and unique sound that follows the swing of the Witcher's sword reminds me of that of the Sword of Truth too – that dance of blades we have truly missed was evident in the first episode and hopefully more like that in the next season. For Fantasy lovers: the wheel of Time series and the Upcoming Lord of the rings series will make a brilliant 2021. I honestly can't wait. I will rate this season an 8.5. I loved it.

... Oh, I loved that Bard too and his Witcher's song. That ballad was brilliant.

... All right, I have seen some inputs and the answers are all over the place, lol. Some of you want me to go back to Broken Vengeance while some of you want me to start a new series. Hmmm.... I will tell you guys my decision later this week. I want others to have their say too. I thank those that made theirs known. smiley

.... I have been away because I have been busy and also because The Witcher series have had me completely glued the past few hours. You guys won't understand the pure joy I feel as I watch this series. If you guys have any idea of how much I have been praying for another complete fantasy series like Legend of the Seeker again, you will understand my joy. GOT wasn't that and thank God, we have more series like that coming up in the Wheel of Time and the Lord of the rings plus the season two of the Witcher coming up in 2021. Abeg guys, let me enjoy a fantasy series with actual use of magic. They come once in a blue moon. wink

... To those I owe updates, I am working on them. Merry Christmas folks and have a lovely Christmas eve tomorrow. Take care while you have fun.

... Solomon

.... Well, we are getting closer to the end of the story. It was meant to be a short tale that I have dragged a bit too long, lol. That's not new to me anyway. I am still writing the last Wolf Series but I plan to write another fantasy/supernatural tale and I want suggestions from you guys, or perhaps I could just pick up from where I stopped in the other fantasy tale on my profile? What do you guys think? A return to my past story or a new fantasy tale? Tell me. You have today for that as I intend to drop updates here tomorrow.

.... Before I go, I want to thank everyone for their comments and likes and a big shout-out to the mod here; he is doing a fantastic job. Till tomorrow folks, have a lovely Sunday.

SportsRe: Mikel Arteta Is The New Arsenal Manager by solomonbrown64: 6:25pm On Dec 18, 2019
.... I know Arsenal don't employ top coaches right from time, Emery was the exception in so many years and even he was unable to do anything meaningful with that squad of players and now they have gone for an inexperienced coach in Arteta. Even Wenger had managerial experience and built his team on the defensive unit left by Graham, Baba started having problems when he couldn't assemble a better unit than the previous generation and that trend had continued up till now. City play with technical players and Arsenal right now don't have such players, a situation that frustrated Emery to no end and yet the silly board brought only Ceballos to help the man's course. I hope Arteta is backed with the players that suit what he wants and he had better make that clear to Raul and his gang before he signs that thing else he will use his own hand to resign and walk away after his beautiful black hair start turning grey from frustration.
