MrDojo:.... Here you go bro... ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3jKLQzzSAU&app=m&persist_app=1 |
kokanepyramid:... ![]() |
...... I just watched the training video and honestly it's one of the few serious and intense ones I have watched in recent times. Yes, jokes were thrown in with the usual suspects in Auba but I have realized that's just who he is. The training was like a real match; Mkhi stood out to me, I have always loved the way he runs with the ball and he did that quite well in the video just that his final balls are still lacking at the moment.. .... Beating the press took a lot of the training and to be honest I wasn't impressed. Until we can tell and pinpoint exactly where our players are on the field, a good team will block passing lanes and that will frustrate our efforts. Guendouzi short passing with Chambers was the only attempt at beating the press that was decent. Quick shot passes is still the way out rather than trying to pull pressers to oneself and beating them with individual skills. Not everyone is Ceballos and even he losses the ball at times. We will get there with more practice but if we are going to do the passing from the back today, we have to be quick with the passing, no time to think too much. Whoever starts at the base of Midfield should be careful and lightning quick in thoughts. ..... Saka needs to build up though, the ease with which Papa brushed him off to score wasn't nice at all. Papa's cutback was sweet though and his goal even sweeter . Saka made up for it with a good goal though..... I love Torreira's body checking of Willock, and Pepe's typical nutmeg, Nelson was the casualty this time. Both scenes made me laugh. .... All in all, good training with an intent for something, which is today's match. I didn't see Lacazette, Ozil and Xhaka though but I saw Elneny. Laca will be useful today, I hope he is fine. |
kokanepyramid:..... Kai, no wonder. I know say something dey up the way your blood go boil from seemingly 0 - 100 degrees in a blink on top small matter, so na spy cause am .... Osanobua! na we Matteo fans come dey receive am. |
Fkhalifa:..... You are most welcome. .... You are right. I used to be one of those viewers, smiling and laughing as I scroll through the endless exchange. I started to post too but then the thread became so dry due to the reasons you pointed out above. For days no one would post anything and if any would, there would be no reply. I even complained and compared ours to others on this forum but some said it was pointless talking about what we had no power over and was already set in stone. ...This was in reference to Wenger and his team selection. If we couldn't discuss then why are we fans at all? |
kokanepyramid:.... Yeah I remember pickabeau and others like Ialomo or something and no I don't think I know that tye guy cos I watched a few videos from Arsenal TV this year and I just couldn't bear the toxicity. ... Lol, I had no idea that's how it went down but the exchanges between you guys then made for good learning. So your opposing views is why he sees you as a troll although I have a different reason why I tagged you a troll though. You and Spy Sha. |
Dreamswayne:.... Yup, I remember his usual exchange with spy especially when we are losing. The next thing na Wenger out. Yes, he seems nice but bias and Outright sarcasm even to his own has been off the roof lately. I guess it's because no more Wenger to channel his anger on anymore . He is still one of us anyway, hope he calms down. |
Fkhalifa:..... Just go there and see for yourself. Imagine them asking who is Willock? ...... Na that one spark my head. Stupid team that has never won the premier League since forever. Imagine if they did, we will not rest from their noise..... Even if we end up losing, they must sweat for that victory. I expect massive ginger from Luiz and for once I am glad we got someone like him. We need characters with victory mentality like him and I expect nothing less than the Luiz we saw when he played for Mourinho. Enough is enough ![]() |
kokanepyramid:... Lol, I think it's more about your unpredictable nature here. It's sometimes difficult to tell if you're really arguing or just trolling especially on that Jerry Curl kid and Ozil too. Your posts are quite sarcastic too hence the troll tag but it's just how you roll. |
IghravweIG:..... Are you serious right now? Nine freaking years and no post here .... Just kidding, you are very much welcome and I feel honoured to be mentioned on your first post here. I see fellow fans on match day thread commenting like no man's business but never here. Thank God you are here. .... Well here, there are sane people like me, Fkhalifa, kodded, Dreamswayne, Jodera, Oga blueray; elders like Spy360 and Roland17 because they have been here before I knew what Nairaland was all about. Partially insane folks like Oga Kokane because he can be for you now and against you the next second and completely insane folks like Swissh and Sod. The latter being very unpredictable and quite sarcastic, don't indulge him if you have no patience. ![]() ... Regardless of our differences, we are here for the good of the badge. We all look forward to more of your posts here. ![]() |
.... Arsenal's last 22 away games against the Big Six .... Won 0 - Drawn 8 Lost 14 Clean sheets 1 Failed to score 5 Goals 24 xG 22.5 Conceded 50 xG Against 39.1 Shots 186 (8.5/game) On target 65 (3/game) Shots against 356 (16.2/game) On target allowed 148 (6.7/game) . ..... Damn |
...... Na Banter Fc Liverpool fans dey call us for their subreddit and they are so sure of victory. I have never seen fans more arrogant than they are. Their own pass Scummies own on a whole new level.... You know what? Screw it! That unbeaten run at home they are so proud of, we must break it tomorrow. Emery must come to the party and since Auba is a big influencial leader in that dress room I want to really believe when he says they want revenge for the humiliation of last season on that ground. Let's tell every team out there that the era of Banter is gone, this team means business, starting tomorrow. ![]() |
MrDojo:.... Lol, which bad thing... This new arsenal be say if you no improve, na sell straight. ..no time. .... Exactly bro. It will be an interesting but tight game, I am certain. |
MrDojo:... You are welcome, bro. ..... Ceballos is the first midfielder that's a true playmaker that's dynamic as both an 8 and a 10. It's what the modern game requires, the number 10 has to drop deep to start play and also press from the front. This is where Ozil's problem lies in; he doesn't like to drop deep and rarely playmake, he just wants to lay the killer pass and that's not enough anymore. .. Emery clearly wanted Ceballos for something and we got a glimpse of that in the last match. Emery is clearly not a possession style coach, he is at base counter attacking but a different style as his system still requires quick short passes rather than parking the bus. His style is something that will come into play very well as soon as we have players like Holding back who is better than Sokratis at ball playing and Bellerin too who is smarter with his positionings and will make our right wing more productive. We then to use the left wing because Niles doesn't bring that quick movement of the ball Emery requires just as good as Monreal does. It's actually stagnates our play massively which was why Emery wanted to sign another right back. ...Bellerin will be eased in slowly, still medicine is now advanced and not like before. His speed should still be there since this is his first knee injury I think. .... Niles is a good player and very sleeky on the ball which shows he is highly confident in his skills and abilities. To me he is a better player than Willock because of his technical skills but the edge Willock has over him is his level headedness. Niles loses concentration easily and he does that under little or no pressure and in dangerous places. Having a player like that and Xhaka in Midfield is bad news. He has to cut that shitt out if he ever hopes to play in our midfield, for now he is our Milner; versatile on the pitch and can fill in important places. .... As for tomorrow's game, I will just go out and enjoy the game. It's going to be end to end stuff. Whatever happens, It's one game more where the team gels more together. ... See the pass Map, you can see how heavily Ceballos was involved and the short passes in between movements, but look at Niles positioning compared to Monreal's, it's why his wing was bastardised by McNeil. So much space. By the time Bellerin will be back, there will be balance in movement and in attack and will make our attacking movements less predictable.
|
..... This goal article is quite the eye opener... I can't wait for Tierney and Bellerin to be back. October can't come any sooner..... .... https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/ceballos-showing-why-ozil-is-fighting-a-losing-battle-with-emery-/1bn88gk8yztjq1iwnuh71y6s0e |
BlueRayDick:..... I heard Roma is interested in a loan deal but Elneny no get show yet. Both of them might not leave this window but one of them should. If Club Brugge can pay 10m plus for Wanyama, I expect something substantive for either of them. ... Emery dey try but I no sure say he reach Guardiola. Guardiola don tey for England small. |
BlueRayDick:.... Lol, waoh I am shocked because that word no follow. I don't know which club will make any of those two their protagonists but then he also called them big players; sweet words to aid their quick transfer. .... Those British shows can be so endearing sha, I love the British accent. Shows like Taboo and Bodyguard were orgasm boosters as regards my ex - ..... I learnt to whisper in that accent in her ears as we dey do the thing ...... Regardless, I am impressed with the pace in which he has learnt English, not particularly easy for a Basque dude. |
BlueRayDick:.... You sure say na Emery talk this grammar abi na translation ...... I don't think Wenger would ever come out to say players should find other clubs openly. This new admin and Emery no send anybody oh. The clear out continues. |
..... Nicolas Pépé: "Based on how it's been in training with Lacazette, we've been able to find each other with our eyes shut." [BTSport] ....I love this. |
kokaneprodigy:..... Between the both of us, who is emotional? You leave logic and facts to lie just to prove what? Compared to you, has anything have stated concerning this discussion been a lie compared to you who has has stooped so low to create things that never happen just to nail someone even when he was on the bench. Lol. Honestly, if I had seen some of your posts earlier concerning the lad I wouldn't have bother to indulge you. ... Arsenal deem it fit to reward the lad and if this ruthless administration could do that, then your opinion clearly doesn't matter. ... I am done with this discussion henceforth. We can discuss other things but not this that's if I ever want to in the first place. ...I also noticed you ignored my post on your claim that Burnley's goal was Guendouzi's fault. Anyway, it is well. You and your lackey can go on forever with your campaign, I won't interfere again. |
Fkhalifa:.... Can you imagine??... Spy360 don talk am before say he be troll that trolls his own. I didn't see this before then why are we wasting precious time discussing their over the scale bias on a player that they clearly don't like for reasons best known to them? .... I remember when I used to defend Ozil on Justarsenal forum like my life depended on it. We need this and that to help him regain his form and be blazing again but my eyes became clear last season and I respected myself. Still, I saw a difference in his play during the pre-season, he was willing to play especially during the Bayern match in the US. There was hope there and if he brings that to the field this season in the EPL, I will support him regardless of last season's debacle. That's how sane people behave and the reason I respect Baba Ray despite our conflicting opinions. ... As regards Mr Jerry Curl and his over zealous critics I am done oh. There's no salvation in sight. I pray you resist the urge to indulge them as sometimes they have no shame in lying just to get a reaction from some of us like a post up there blaming Burnley's goal on the lad. All trolling in the end. |
..... Imagine the hate. Was it not Ceballos that was wasted in midfield, the Burnley player dribbled him so bad that he was glued to the ground before he made that deflected pass. Luiz failed to track his man, Nelson lost possession that led to the counter in the first place and the one player who tried to prevent the goal is the one who gets the blame .... This is ridiculous on all levels.... Una go tire anyway, Arsenal has seen his "recycling job and blatant giveaways and side way passes" and has deemed it fit to reward his efforts with a new bumper contract. Una go tire last last. ![]() |
Fkhalifa:..... Thank God you can see through their pretense. The poster that asked the style of Emery's football didn't even reply their mentions and neither did I because this particular question has been asked here before and answered, and his own question which he claimed he asked on Reddit was also cleanly answered. It's obvious one still loves Wenger and his system while the other is blind to anything we do or achieve because a player in the very team he claims to support, who gives his all on the field is playing. It's why most times I don't indulge them as do many other fans here. .... The same player they castigate is who most fans on other forums want as the midfielder beside Torreira or Willock in future especially on Saturday. If a young player have negatives, are there not positives about him they can see but no it's the same complaints here everyday. They want to turn here to another one player debate like the positives FC thread. Anyway, you get time sha. .... Arsenal is preparing to give a bumper new five year contract to the Jerry Curl kid, so he will be here for a long time. The same thing with Auba but it's not yet clear for how long yet. .... As for Liverpool, some of us realists have been tagged as accepting defeat when even the coach when asked replied that nobody wants to play Liverpool ever. A joke yes but it's the truth. Let's see wetin go happen for Saturday |
.... I also don't get the fans saying that Auba saved us or Lacazette used power to score blah blah blah.... The goal keeper's job is to stop the ball from getting into the net as much as possible, same with every other member of the team with their individual responsibility. A striker's job is to score but here if they do, some say they are bailing out the coach. What's their damn job in the first place? Is it not to score ? ...na wa oh. .... Against Burnley, we had four quality chances to score apart from both goals, especially that sweet counter where two teenagers beat Burnley's press. Na no see that one. I wish I could post the pass maps of our last game and you will see our future pattern of play clearly written there. |
Fkhalifa:..... That's the ish bro... I don't just get the complaints... The full squad isn't fully used yet, we had two teenagers starting both matches of the season and yet we are 2nd of the table, people are complaining. The days of Possession and counter attacking sole kind of identity are gone. Guardiola's game has evolved from soft tiki - tika to direct football and now they are very aggressive with smart tactical fouls whenever a team is trying to build something. It's just how football is; you evolve. Now, Liverpool don't press as hard as they used when they play the lower teams but come out in full throttle against the top 6 because Klopp now knows going full throttle all season isn't feasible. .... There are games we will aim to control and there are games we will come in to counter the other team's style. We are still a team in transition, one season won't change decades of Wenger's style and imprint in the team. Fancy football and Identity is good and we will get there but now it's all about results. We need to qualify for the Champions League, that's priority number 1 for this season, everything else is secondary. |
Swissh:.... I think I have seen this question and exact post somewhere before , yesterday perhaps? |
MrDojo:..... I think the Kroenkes trusted Gazidis and Wenger too much and pretty much allowed them free reign but they ran Arsenal badly. Losing money and valuable assets in players after years of investments in them. The one that broke the camel's back was slipping into Europa League. I think it was then they decided that they had to get involved. It's a good thing they did, at least now we know we are targeting something. I don't know the plans for January; a defender, right back or starting preliminary process in getting Ceballos or getting his replacement and that of Ozil ready. Perhaps. .... If there's one thing I have learnt from Arsenal's subreddit is the fact that most fans don't value Xhaka at all... Lol. Dem no wan see am for field especially on Saturday and honestly neither do I. But the truth is; if he is fit he will start. Xhaka is actually a big game player and did quite well in big games last season except for the Liverpool defeat. He will be instrumental in putting those long diagonal balls through that will disrupt the Liverpool backline. Which is why Both him and Torreira cannot start against Liverpool. Should Xhaka start, Guen or Willock should be his partner. If not, it should be Guen and Joe in midfield. Torreira cannot start anyway, he got only ten minutes against Burnley. ... Wolves and Everton will flatter to deceive. Wolves have Europa commitment and will surely affect them depending on how long they stay in it. Everton have good players but the manager has always been the problem. A Rodgers at the helms of an Everton team will have me seriously worried. They should sack Silva if he doesn't deliver this season and appoint Rodgers IMO. |
...... Anthony Taylor will referee the Arsenal - Liverpool match. ..... I am not excited about this guy because of the sending off of Torreira last season during the London derby but he also gave Auba a soft penalty that he failed to score. Fingers crossed since VAR is now here. |
Spy360:.... Lol, a single ball over the top will finish us if we have to drag the midfielders to cover for the pushing fullbacks. I saw a lot of that last season. ... I think you watched the Burnley match and you saw how they kept crossing the ball into our box almost without hindrance. How many balls did Niles or Monreal block on Saturday? It was free loading that could have cost us. If Auba and Pepe track back then it will be manageable but if they don't then it's advisable we start with three centre backs. I don't have confidence with Niles defending against a decent winger until Bellerin returns. For God sake, he was beaten time and time again by fvcking McNeil. Common Oga Spy, we go get serious wahala for wings whether we are defending or attacking. Liverpool will be at their best, they are playing Arsenal not Norwich. We are rivals regardless of our current state. |
Spy360:..... Then knowing Emery, he will put out a formation to counter theirs. We can't just start with that formation else Niles and Monreal will be roasted especially the former. Did you guys also notice that Pepe didn't track back enough last match? On a few occasions he watched as a Burnley attacker move past him a few times. I didn't like that but then he is still new as Auba was once like that but it just means that if he starts, we can't trust him to track Mane hence it will be risky to start with a back four or a formation that leaves the wings open when the fullback push up. |
Fkhalifa:.... Yup, one of many tinkerings we will see during the game depending on the direction of the game. Protecting the wings and frustrating their attacking moves should be our first priority for the duration of the first half while taking our chances. |
Fkhalifa:.... Yup, We need athleticism and energy in that Midfield so at least we know Ceballos will start. His other partners in Midfield is what most don't know yet. The defense and attack naturally picks itself regardless of formation. The Midfield partnership is the question mark now. Pepe played 45 minutes, I think he can play 65 - 75 mins now. I don't want Nelson starting this game or Mkhi. |
