MrDojo:
Bro, this midfield is better than what we had during peak banter era (those days whishere and Ramsey were competing for Miss Injury). Yet, Wenger played some fantastic football with them. Yes, they got found out. But still, the football was good to watch.

Our current Midfielders, however, look clueless anytime they have the ball. It's as if they dont know what else to do other than pass side ways. Why can't we adopt a system that relies on quick exchanges to break down the opposition?

To me, I believe they're doing what the manager instructed. If not, they wouldn't repeat the same thing over and over and over again.

And we all know that stupidity is doing the same thing over and over again, yet expecting a different result.

Well, good luck to all of them. They're all millionaires.
.... Na, I will disagree with you on your first paragraph bro. Guendouzi is still learning the trade, same with Willock. Torreira has been off for a while and Xhaka is Xhaka. Peak Banter, we had Song, Rosicky, Wilshere and Ramsey, and then Arteta. Abeg, our current Midfield no near those folks. Even Denilson get mouth for this Midfield.

..... Our current Midfield na serious work but it's not an excuse though; Emery needs to work something out quick.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by solomonbrown64: 7:02pm On Sep 14, 2019
...... Honestly sometimes I can't blame Emery with his weird selections. Our Midfield is too easily bypassed sometimes especially with double pivot in Midfield. He is trying too hard to prevent us from conceding and it's not really working. It's why I believe he plays three midfielders and even at that Tottenham sliced through us easily in the first half. I don't expect Watford to do that but then Doucoure frustrated us last season even when they were ten men down. He owned the Midfield last time we were there but let's see how he structures the Midfield tomorrow.

.... I will really like us to break that new coach - winless run tomorrow. It's very possible and Pepe has to come to the party. The mockery is getting too much.

If Emery puts up this Cowardly line up, I would fully join the EmeryOut bandwagon
.... Baba, that's just my prediction. The midfield might not be like that but the attack might be. I kept Ceballos there because Nelson isn't as daring as he is. I won't lie, Chelsea and ManUnited games shocked me but let's see what the man puts out tomorrow.

...... My predicted line up for tomorrow's game:

.... The back four picks itself naturally

... We are going away so Emery will be very cautious especially since we have lost a game changer in Lacazette. Xhaka is not injured so I expect him to start, Guendouzi cannot be dropped now, so the next candidate there will be Willock. Torreira is still not fully fit.

.... It's an away game so I doubt if Emery will start Nelson or Gabriel. I expect Ceballos to replace Lacazette in the front three. He started on the wings against Spain, so it's not an unknown territory for him.

..... Niles -- Papa -- Luiz -- Kolasinac
......
.......... Guendouzi -- Xhaka -- Willock

........ Pepe --- Auba ------ Ceballos

The fans are arguably the most powerful in most club footballing side, I read its the reason Kosc left, he knew he'll be among the scapegoat if things didn't go well, He couldn't afford to let his hardwork for the club end with harsh criticism..
Pa Wenger with all efforts was met with fans fire, so who is he? grin Mustafi,Iwobi and many others cheesy
Our fans no get chill, Emery wants the fans love I guess, so he's playing to thier tune.
.... Since the creation of BBC in Madrid and MSN in Barca to the Successful Liverpool trio, fans also want something similar especially our own. I have been seeing PAL everywhere on various Arsenal forums and I shake my head. PAL cannot work because we are sacrificing Auba to do that and most of our Fans love Lacazette too much, overrating by doing that. He is good but he is no Firmino. He cannot do what the Liverpool forward does so well. Mourinho explained it well. So, it's best we play to their strength as an actual nine and hope that Martinelli and Nelson take their chances. Because it's certain that if Emery gets a trophy and UCL qualification, he will get his desired players especially on the wings. For now, he needs the respect of the fans and he has to earn that.

Our fans need to calm the f.down, they want all the big names at once, We are a big footballing side, we should have some on bench for rotation and super sub purpose..

Our strenght lies in CF position,Imagine week 5, injuries have started biting us in that dept, I fear Auba/Laca's battery may run down by Dec.
..... Honestly, I no just understand our fans jare. By the time we have a solid right winger whether if we buy one or one of the youngsters develop quickly, then Emery will have no choice but do the right thing. He hasn't won anything yet or even achieve Champions league qualification to warrant such changes that will make some fans boil but once he does then they will likely be forced to support his decisions.

... Ozil matter still dey one side.

..... grin .... I hear that he was registered as an Arsenal player this season so that he will count as homegrown later on. So that explains why he is there at the training ground, besides if he will get better rehab here, why deprive of him ofthat? 30m investment no be beans bro.

OMG shocked

Risking Auba& Laca together hasn't been my thing, Rotate them like Aguero/Jesus across all completions, but Emery fell for fans fantasies..

With Welbeck,Iwobi and Nketiah out, Martineli has to step up.
We need LW Jan.
..... Emery really tried not to put both of them on the pitch together but fans kept on with the pressure and pundits didn't help either. Auba is always uncomfortable on the wings and does better through the middle and the same for Laca. But if Laca is benched, fans will start with their conspiracy theories.

.... Anyway, it's now clear why he wasn't brought on against Liverpool on time and why he wasn't at his best holdup play against Tottenham. His passes were uncharacteristically off too. Let him take his time to heal as we have a Long season ahead.

... Our front three looks lethal but it's actually unbalanced; a right winger is needed and Nelson isn't doing enough to stake a claim there. If he or Gabriel go the way of Willock, Emery will be forced to bench one of our strikers. I honestly wouldn't want us to get any right winger but if they don't come to the party then we have to. The Man United is actually my worry about Laca's absence, Auba doesn't inspire confidence against the big sides except our noisy neighbors.

...... He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride. Job 41:34

... The prideful spirit of Leviathan is seriously at work in this thread but in the name of Jesus, his mission won't prevail more than it already has.

.... My God, this is appealing from a lot of Christians here.

... Father, let your peace reign on this thread.
Christianity EtcRe: Cultism, The Spiritual Consequences And Deliverance Through Christ by solomonbrown64: 9:52am On Sep 11, 2019
....... I followed Charlie's thread on the supernatural which was something similar to this and while I was scared to pieces concerning his travails and what he passed through since childhood because of the gift God gave him, I still learnt a lot from what he had to share. I realized for the first time that there's really nothing like "free will" like we are meant to believe by free thinkers and their lots but rather a choice between two allegiance; that choice is non-negotiable. A man must pick a side. I also learnt about how much powerful the supernatural is above the physical and I have been drawn ever since to the superior plane and I have spent a great deal of time over the years to learn about this side, majorly through the testimonies of those who once served darkness .

..... I listened to Emmanuel Omobajesu's tapes, read Rebecca Brown's books (although I don't approve of her dwelling on the dark only but everyone has their style of writing), Derek Prince, John Echardt and channels on YouTube. These Preachers and former Satanists helped expose the wiles and manipulations of Satan and how we can overcome them; the importance of warfare. Many Christians don't know this and keep struggling with so many things that would have been history if they knew the forces behind these things. According to the late Hagin, a lot of Christians are still Babies and have failed to move up the ladder of growth to maturity. These Christians will struggle with a lot of things and when a teacher tries to explain things to them, instead of listening, these "limited" Christians will argue on the basis of nothing other than pride.

.... I see people like the OP as teachers and areas we do not know, they teach us. But the problem here has always been pride, right from Charlie's thread which is almost non - existent now to this budding thread that has now been killed. Silly arguements nearly killed the first one from the start and it certainly killed this one. Yes, both persons who opened the thread have different gifts; one is a seer/prophet, the other has discernment of spirits but all under the deliverance ministry. It's under this ministry that demons and their works are usually exposed. Preachers like Oyedepo, Copeland will say little on demons because that's not what they were called to preach. Jesus takes a lot of people into the supernatural so that they can see for themselves how the devil and his demons operate for what purpose other than for Christians to guard themselves properly. Jesus loves bringing Satanists out of darkness to expose the workings of Satan. He does this most times by himself and not through Evangelism because he wants these things exposed.

..... Everyone has an opinion which is true but as usual, especially on this forum, it's always nonsense. It's wise to keep quiet and watch rather than claim what you don't know based on knowledge of the letter without the guidance of the Holy Spirit. A lot which has been seen on this thread and many others on this section. Everyone wants to be heard and even when ignored, some persons will still carry on until they are heard. What is that?

...For the first time, I know the repercussions of cultism from the spiritual aspect. I watched a video yesterday about the best universities in the world and their strong affiliation with the dark world where a lot of initiations take place under the guise of fellowships, sororities and co. In our regions, they are cults. The video tallies with what the OP posted here and this revelation was given to the poster in that video by God. A lot of souls are being lost because of ignorance especially to the spiritual aspects of these harmless cults but instead of fellow Christians to learn, they will instead decide to fight and argue of nothing they know based on their limited understanding of the scriptures and experience in the supernatural. It's a shame that another thread based on the supernatural for the advantage of God's people have been killed again by no other than Christians themselves.

.... I will urge the OP to go through Charles thread and watch how similar arguements killed that online ministry. He should learn and know how to pick his "online friends." He must always be guided by the Holy Spirit and not lean on his understanding especially for someone who said he wasn't used to social media. People here on Nairaland have an overrated opinion of themselves online and will do anything to be heard at all costs even to the detriment of disciples they claim they head over. Whenever you decide to come back again OP, be guided by your utterances even when provoked because I see that such remarks can be likened to when an adult is speaking, and a child keeps cutting in and arguing on what he barely knows. It's what I see from your replies but you know it's the social media and everyone has a voice.

.... I know you come here once in a while to read things but don't give up on the ministry God has called you into based on the fierce attacks here especially from fellow Christians. Be strong and rise up again and remember not every one likes it when the shine and focus is taken off them. God was using you in a peculiar way, different from the norms here and some people didn't like it. You have had experiences and revelations that others here crave and desire but God singled a former cultist out for the job to the Glory of his name. Not all are happy about that, don't be fooled by their comments as they are now showing their true colours. But I am sure you have learnt your lessons.

....We must be guided by the Holy Spirit at all times before we go against the workings of God. God bless us all.

..... Currently on the wire, just through with the 2nd season and honestly it's the best series that I have ever seen. Far better than my beloved Daredevil series.

.... Sweet Lord, the acting is so real, it could pass for real life. Kudos to Dominic West; dude killed his role abeg. His constant meddling was a great source of humor especially with his Major. Lance Reddick is another character, his facial looks alone can make you love or hate his sheer arrogance at the same time. Those two characters are my best currently. Shout out to Idris Elba too.

... Lance is in Bosch too, that will be my next series once I am done with the wire.

.... The nudity and foul language is something else though in the series but then that's something you see in HBO.

.... Continued...

..... ‘Is he dead?’ Athena asked with so much excitement for a question that didn’t warrant such. The disgust on Hecate’s’ face was testament to that.

‘I don’t think he is.’ Hecate replied while walking and kneeling beside him and putting a hand to his fried body that was hardly recognizable of the once handsome warrior.

‘He is no longer breathing but he cannot be said to be dead, not yet at least.’ She confirmed before returning to her feet.

‘What do you mean by that?’ No mortal survives Zeus’s bolt.’ Athena stated beating me to it but the excitement was gone in her voice, now it was uncertainty.

‘His spirit is still in his body which shouldn’t be which explains why the spell of the gate of Olympus is still standing. Spells made by mortals seize to exist the moment the caster is dead. This is a very strange case, one which I can’t explain.’ Hecate replied with a frown on her face.

‘Perhaps, it’s the fact that he was half mortal before his death. He couldn’t have possibly controlled the abilities of a goddess such as myself being human, attempting that as a mortal should have sent him to the underworld. It’s the only meaningful explanation to this strange phenomenon. I mean he controlled my powers really well though not at my level of expertise and he matched you lightning by lightning in terms of such abilities. I shuddered to think what he would have been able to do left with my powers for longer. This man was very dangerous.’ I said, referring to Athena’s battle with Acheson. The praise of the dead man didn’t go well with the fiery goddess who shot me a glare.

‘The decision on his death and where he will be in the afterlife will depend solely on the gods and whatever the fates have in store for him. I don’t know his fate and I don’t think discussing it here is the right thing to do. Right now, I think we should return to Olympus before that rift closes. I don’t like it that the caster of such a powerful spell is dead, and that magical trap of a gate still stands. Thinking about it makes me nervous. As for me, my mission here is complete.’ Hecate said and having done so, she walked towards the rift without waiting for the rest of us.

She was right as I didn’t understand myself the reason behind the fact that Acheson wasn’t really dead. He should be! He should be after all the despicable things he did!

‘You should be ashes by now!...... You raped me!! …..You…, You took what was sacred to me.’ I yelled in rage and torched Acheson’s body with flames as a result.

‘That is enough Artemis!’ Hecate yelled. She had somehow returned to pull me away from Acheson’s burning body.

‘No, let her watch him burn, Hecate.’ Athena declared with a smirk on her face which was infectious as the same soon appeared on my face.

‘He went against his gods and should be punished for his transgressions. There should be absolutely nothing of him to be remembered of, not even his dead body. He let the fatal arrogance common with mortals who usually have no foresight to see where this pride would lead them to. He should be a lesson to others who think they are now gods because of the blessings of other gods. Unfortunately, he won’t be a lesson or a tale told under the moonlight either because his victories are now gone with the wind.’ She finished.

We all watched as Acheson burned in front of and turned to ashes. His remains was casted to the ends of the woods with a powerful wind brought forth by Athena.

"Satisfied?" Hecate asked with disgust on her face. I didn't reply neither did Athena but I took one last look at the place where Richard had held captive me for the last few weeks. The massive Mansion which housed Acheson and his pack and I deliberated on torching the building too but his ex- family were still inside and that changed my mind. I hated them but not enough to kill them, the man I wanted was dead and his remains now scattered all over the woods. I instead spat on the floor and walked towards the rift.

"May this ground never know peace for the transgressions of Acheson!" Athena cursed and it stood due to the lightning that followed.

...... Alright, that will be all folks. If you want me to read the rest of the book. Holla at me @ my mail. Pay #500 and it's all yours, pay #1000 naira for the same book and you get to suggest what you want to see from some of your favorite characters.
