Jemidun: No signs of traffic anywhere? I'm excited. Yeah...when I asked the question at my office over there what rush hour is like?...they all laughed at me and answered with "we don't have a rush hour but we have rush minutes and it is usually at lunchtime cos people go home for lunch most times"... |

Debsify: Why are the roads looking deserted? It was a Sunday afternoon and besides Regina don't have a lot of people. It is a small city, unlike Saskatoon which is 2 hrs drive from Regina. And also Regina is the capital of Saskatchewan. So they have that going for them |

No, IT is not a regulated field in Canada. The only thing is if you need to work in a highly information sensitive environment, you will need security clearance. You can't get that as a PR. Only Canadian citizens are entitled to such IT security status. Always Taylor your cv to the job you are applying for. Take note of the responsibilities and the requirements. Make sure you can defend whatever you write on your cv. Most especially your technical skills. Prepare yourself for Behavior-Based Interviews. My interview was 2hrs long with three managers (2 technical and one management). So prepare yourself, my brother, they are not playing HIER! 8alienhead: Congrats bro...just the right time...so happy for you...
bros how did you go about it?, i mean is the profession not Regulated or some simply get LUCKY?...if yes, this your own must be miracle...more like it i pray...
Once again congrats, and please respond regarding I.T being regulated [Network/Admin/Server] |

Hello E-Fam,
Please would like some input on this.
I have some pending interviews like part of this week and next week.
I have an offer of 65k/yr presently from the first interview I have ever done in Canada just last week.
Just got into the country last month...started applying for jobs the first week of this month.
For someone in ONT is this good offer or should I see what the other guys will offer.

Wura27: Hi,
You'd fill the imm008 form (you would get it on cic website), the height and weight form sent with your email and also two copies of your passport photo in the required format asked (make sure to print the format and show it to the studio), the back of one of the passport photos must have the contact details of the studio used and the date the passport photo was taken.
Lastly and most important, your PASSPORT! Thank you ... |
