My fiancee and I have been in a relationship for 5 years now. I met her since she was in secondary school. We both love each other and she is very nice, loving and supportive too.

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has commenced the implementation of plans to make shoes and other leather works made in Aba to meet international standards and market demand as the first batch of 30 out 100 youths leave for China for training in automated shoe making

Governor Ikpeazu who said that the state would be spending N65million on the first batch of 30 youths for their training in China covers artisan, design and management.

Speaking at a departure ceremony put together by the state government for the first batch of nominees of Abia China automated shoe training programme at the Government House, Umuahia, the governor said capacity building and human capital development are essential elements of development.

He said that lack of automation was a serious drawback for the Aba Artisans who have displayed ingenuity in their trades and that equipping them with it would enable them compete favourably with their counterparts in developed countries and have a share in the international market.

He charged the trainees to remember that the foundation and essence of their trip to China is God and urged them not to disappoint the state and their families.



According to him, they should focus squarely on the purpose of their trip to China pay close attention to the machines and everything that would be taught them.

He assured that government would be ordering automated shoe equipment end to end on their return from China.

‘’I’m sending you to China with a lot of confidence. This is my wish to you that you go to China and conquer for us.’’



The Governor said that what is lacking in our part of the world is management and the use of science and technology.

Earlier, the special adviser to the Governor on Social Investment, Mr Chinenye Nwogu and the senior special assistant to the Governor on Public Communication, Mr Sam Hart, explained that though Aba is renowned in shoe making, it lacks automated shoe making machines which prompted the Governor during his trip to China last April to decide to send Abia youths to learn modern shoe making.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Client Facilities Manager you will be responsible for:
• All forms of Non-Destructive Testing
• Assist in services and verification services to support customers where required
• Specialized Oilfield tubular inspection on Drill pipe, Tubing and Casing to DS1, API and licensor specifications
• Break out and makeup of drilling equipment
• Report creation
• Calibrations

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, and able to demonstrate a positive attitude towards safety in the workplace. Not afraid of hard, physical work or getting your hands duty, you will also possess the following qualifications and experience:
• NDT Qualifications – MT,PT, UT- AINDT or equivalent
• Experience with EMI process
• Experience in Inspections and reporting processes
• Administration experience relating to the inspection process
• Strong communication skills
